We have just returned for 10 nights at The World on the DDP

Chef Mickeys-1 night, 2 breskfasts: Great interaction with Characters, Good food
O'Hana-1 breakfast: Fun characters with good food
Rainforest Cafe-1 lunch: Good as excpected
Boma-1 Dinner: Great food for adults. Children didn't enjoy it as much, but they were also very tired as we had later ressies
CRT-1 breakfast, 1 lunch: A once in a lifetime experience, so I don't know we will return. Breakfast was good. Lunch off was ok, but the dessert was extremely good. They had to take our children's picture with Cinderella 3 times to get one with open eyes.
Tonys-1 lunch: Good food
LTT-2 dinners: Homestyle comfort food, but do not know that we will return without the characters.
Akershaus-1 lunch: Good interaction with princesses (all were there but Snow White). The food was great, but potions were on the small side.
9 Dragons-1 dinner: Awesome food with large portions
Play N Dine-1 lunch: Great interaction with the Characters and good food
Sci-Fi-1 dinner: The wait with ressies was outrageous. I had the ribs...they were tough & onion rings were soggy, DH had steak (again tough). Our server was on the ball, but after a long day and less than appealing food we didn't enjoy any of the experience.
Electric Umbrella-1 lunch: Burgers and fries were fine for Quick Service.
Coral Reef-1 dinner: Reservations were running 30 minutes behind, but the food was TOTALLY worth it!!! Steak was melt in your mouth tender! The caramel crembrulet (I know I spelled it wrong) was to die for, but the liquor in the mousse setteled at the bottom and was very strong.
Crystal Palace-2 breakfasts, 1 lunch: The food for all meals was very good, but this is the slowest character meal ever. we could have finished in 30-45 inutes and it took 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes to see all the characters.
50s Prime Time-1 lunch: We were exhausted when we showed up for this ressie and had a (about) 15 minute wait. At first we were not into the whole acting thing, but our server was really great and the food was terrific.
1900 Park Fare: Awesome food and even better entertainment! Lady Termaine and the step sisters were a riot and totally made our last meal
Sports Food Court: The pasteries are yummy...LOVE the crumb cakes. The "Italian" food was better than expected. The CMs working at the registers were ready to help and answers any question about the meal plan/food choice options. But the Food Court seriously needed to put in a new CD of Christmas music...it was the same songs over and over again.

Personal oponion...skip CRT's 2 credits and replace it with Akershaus and 1900 Park Fare.princess:

sounds like you had a great dining experience.......thanks for taking the time to post the reviews.

You just made me feel sooo much better about our Coral Reef and 1900 PF dinners, we are going in 17 days and I cannot wait!

Thanks so much for the great reviews. Sounds like you had a great time.
I was just wondering how you can call the portions at Akershus small; as far as I can remember it's a buffet. Has that changed?
TIA;-)

wow, you ate at a whole lot of different places! thanks for sharing!

Not OP but the meal here now is cold buffet and menu ordered choice for the hot. I think when they originally switched to this they would allow you to order as many hot portions as you wanted, one at a time, but I think they took that option away.

The starter course was a cold buffet and the meal was hot options from a menu. We were not offered additional servings, so i don't think that is an option. DH had the lamb and raved about it!

We took advantage of the DDP for the kids to have fun dining experiences, take breaks, and see characters without waiting in long lines in the parks. However, 3 times at CP was a little much.

LTT-2 dinners: Homestyle comfort food, but do not know that we will return without the characters.

WDW is still listing Liberty Tree Tavern as "Character Dining". It was going to be on our list for May, but not if they don't have characters. Are there only certain meals that have characters?

Thank you for your review!

Unless something has changed the last character meal was Jan 4th.
OP opinions that I have read seem to be that they are doing away with characters to move in and out more seatings as MK has limited table service resturants. It does take some time when it is a character meal...most we could have been out in 45 mins and they tokk well over an hour to 1 1/2 to see the characters.
