10 months to go and 60 pounds to loose.Update 1/2/11 Page 38

Yay!! There is hope afterall!! I knew a little peer pressure might do the trick!! :rotfl: I'm just telling myself that you are still going! Positive thinking right!?!

I think we are going to do a shorter trip next October too, probably Thurs 9/29 - Tues 10/4 because we are saving up for either the cruise or Disney's Aulani resort in May 2012 for our 10 year anniversary! I'm going to book bounceback if I can in December. If not, that will be covered by free dining next fall!

Keep up the great work on the C25K. :yay: Once the weather turns cooler and Myles is back in school, it'll get easier to get back into the routine of working out more. There are just too many interuptions during the summer and the heat....oh the heat!! Are you sending Owen to preschool this year? If he was in school a couple of mornings, that would give you ample time to get your groove on!!

I know I need to get my booty in shape for the 5K or I'll be on the sidelines cheering you on and I don't want that! The sidelines part, not the cheering part! Of course, I will be cheering for us both!!:cheer2:

Yeah I dont do well with peer pressure!! lol :rotfl2: I was talking with Wayne last night and he seemed to think if I was back to work and things were normal again we could probably go. Sad right.... that I work so we can go on Disney trip!!!!!:rotfl:

I think you are right about the cooler weather and Myles being back to school!! I am hoping I can just bring Owen by my MIL's so I can go for a quick run in the morning and get it over with..... when I wait until the end of the day it just never happens because by then I have come up with a million great excuses why I cant!!

I cant believe I am going to go back to work- its stressing me out a little... finding daycare/preschool for Owen and arranging with my mom and MIL for days they can watch them. Not to mention I cant even get an interview!! It is pretty bad out there for sure! Part of me is happy to have had the year off with the boys and especially the summer, but the other part is very sad to enter back into that crazy world of juggling career and kids!

Sounds like you have a lot going on right now. Oct is over a year away. If I were you, I would plan like I am going then alter the plans if necesary. I am going back to work 2 days a week so we can go on vacations etc.
Lots of luck on the return to couch to 5k and healthy eating. Good fpr you for booking the photo shoot. Hang in there!

Thanks Mary! Good way of looking at it!! Good luck with you in your return to work!! 2 days would be great! I think mine is going to have to be full time.

Woo Hooty Shake your booty!!
:banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:
As soon as I saw the FD promo, I thought of you!! That's a huge savings for your family!:thumbsup2 That means you can apply that $800 to your trip next fall! I booked ours today for 9/29/11-10/4/11 with FD!!:woohoo:

Maybe you'll be able to make that October trip after all

 I don't know!!! I really can't see it happening. We have the January/February trip each year and that is for Myles Bday..... and then we have the Cape trip for Owen's bday and the boys LOVE it that way and so do we!!!

I think you mean now I can actually go on the trip we have planned LOL :rotfl: I don't know how you stay at home Mom's pull off staying home and going to Disney!!! I need to find a job if we are going on anymore Disney trips!!!!

So the boys are used to and expect their Disney Airplane Bags - now after every trip they have received one, I can't stop now!! So today I picked up a few items I saw at the Christmas Tree Shops! They were each $1.00!!

I have also picked up Toy Story disposable cameras, t-shirts from the Disney Store and a few other things. I need to put some snacks in there as it gets closer and maybe a little plush animal. My kids go CRAZY for PLUSH ANIMALS! They are actually invading my house.

oh well... if you've got a tradition that everyone is happy with, then sometimes it best to stick with it. We're leaving in a few weeks for a 16 day Disney extravaganza, and I had also booked a 6 day Dec trip for my son's birthday, but I switched the Dec trip to Aug yesterday. It just wasn't sitting well with me. The worry of being able to afford it after just coming back. Although I'm dying to see the Christmas decorations, it wasn't that much less expensive for a 6 day trip as it is for a 2 week trip, and I just kinda felt cheated if we spent all that money for 6 days, and the thrill of the decorations would probably ware off after the second day. So as soon as free dining came out a couple of days ago all the way to Sept 2011, I pushed it back to 2 weeks in Aug. At least then we can do the waterparks (Dec is too cold), and we love our waterparks. Hopefully we'll be able to afford the Aud trip.
How's the weight loss going for you? I've got 3 weeks left till we leave, and I've lost 25 out of the 30 pounds. I would love to loose 10 more and make it 35, but I'll be happy with 30.

CONGRATS on doing so great with the weightloss!!!! :worship: I am JEALOUS and I hope to be within 10 pounds of my goal when my trip comes around. I bet you are going to FEEL GREAT on this trip having lost 25 pounds!! I am REALLY excited for you. I am doing SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. I keep starting over each morning and by the afternoon I have blown it and then I say well I already blew it so I will eat whatever today and start again tomorrow. UGH It is really SO hard huh!!? It feels so good though when you are in that zone and doing great and loosing. I hope to get that feeling back soon.

I really think you made the right choice with the trips. Especially if you were feeling that way before you even went!! For me, planning the trips and getting excited for them is half the fun!! So to plan trips so close to eachother takes that part away for me. I cant believe you will be there in 3 weeks!!! Are you going to write a trip report!!?? I hope so!

Thank you !!! I do feel much better about having to walk around Typhoon Lagoon in a bathing suit. I was dreading that a few months ago. I know what you mean about starting off in the morning eating something bad, and the by the afternoon saying "oh well, I might as well eat what I want, and I'll start tomorrow". I hated that. I think I must have had 150 tomorrow days. Honestly, after going through almost junk food withdrawal for the first 2 weeks, I almost feel like a junk food addiction must be similar to the more serious addictions some people have. Your body and mind have a way of almost taking over you untill you cave and give it that junk food fix it wants. That was sooo horrible. I have decided that when we get to Disney, the diet is off. I am going to reward myself with not worrying about what I eat while I'm there. I hope there won't be too much damage, and I'm hoping the constant walking around the parks will counter act those naughty treats I am planning to eat

As far as a trip report, I hadn't really thought about it. Maybe I will, I'll have to see how much I remember when I get back. It always seems to be a big blur afterwards

Nickie I am sorry, I really thought I had commented on your post about not going in Oct than maybe going with the hopes of a new job and the free dining...so I know I read it but for some reason didn't leave a comment. Probably had the computer snatched from me as I was trying to get caught up :rotfl2: we need to invest in two more lap tops

Anywho...
alot of people work for the extras...such as vacations, school, the teen clothing stores...you know!
but, what a great reason to go to work when you get the reward of a vacay and especially a Disney vacay! :mickyjum

great job on the FD! :yay: I have been checking and rechecking figures trying so hard to put something together for Danny to just look at and say OH! We have to go, you are right! how can we pass that deal up :lmao: But, if I decide to start school in Jan I don't see it happening for a while (since we don't want to join the masses when school is on holiday)...

love the goodies for the boys! it is always so much fun putting together the fun bags!

I think its great you take a break and ENJOY yourself at Disney - you have worked very hard for that!!!!! All the walking you will do will burn those calories right off anyway!!!

I hope you do a trip report- I want to see pictures and hear all about the trip!

Hi Connie,
I just posted on your trip report- great update. I am getting so excited for the trip. Reading the trip reports when I have a few minutes to myself really helps me get SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!

I miss the 4/3 deal but I am also VERY HAPPY with free dining!!!! Anything that saves that much money is just GREAT!!!!! I am thinking more and more about October and if I have a job at PWC making some good money, then I am doing it. I think it will be a quick trip - free dining and staying at POFQ and maybe we will bring our moms! It will be a great way to bring them to Disney. They wouldnt want a whole week or anything..... so this might work out great.

Last night we decided to do a Mary Poppins Night! Uncle Chris and his girls, Stephanie and Holly joined us.... We were talking Disney and how excited we all are and we talked about getting the free dining and that they booked their flights. We are all SO excited!!!! Holly brought over Disney Silly bands and gave us all one! :cutie:

For dinner we set the table with finger sandwiches, Raspberry Lemonade, Chips, Macaroni Salad and ate on a blanket on the livingroom floor.

IMG_5622.jpg

During dinner we told jokes and laughed, and pretended we were eating on the ceiling. :lmao: It was pretty funny!!!

IMG_5627.jpg

We checked to see how the kids measured up.... Owen was 38 inches (2 more inches we need him to grow before Disney) and he measured "full of giggles" and Myles was 45 inches (we need him to grow 3 inches lol) and he measured "stubborn and suspicious"!

IMG_5628.jpg

After dinner, Uncle Chris opened up his bag of tricks and pulled out all kinds of goodies for the boys.... he also had an umbrella in there!!! It was really cute and the boys loved it!

IMG_5624.jpg

Up next as we finished the movie, we made Raspberry Tea (with a spoonful of sugar and Sugar Cookies. It was a really easy and fun night. We wanted to play with sidewalk chalk, and make kites but that just didnt happen because we started so late. As we watched the movie we thought of lot's of other ideas for activities, and my very favorite was having the kids clean up the house! :rotfl:

We had a Practically Perfect Night in every way!
IMG_5623.jpg

Ok, So I can't believe this but last week after the Free Dining was released and my BIL booked his flights things changed a bit and I had to change our plans slightly.

Oh, I also have to post pictures about the kits I am making each family!! We are putting together a package to send down to the hotel for each family. I picked up these Mickey Mouse and Friends Pocket Folders, and we will put my spreadsheet/itinerary in there, along with a funny welcome letter/itinerary from Wayne, some park maps, and hours and things about the dining plan and snack credits. I also bought keychains from the Disney store that I will put in the folders. I think it will be a great little surprise for them!

Here is our FINAL Plan!!

Friday: Arrive at 9:30AM - Magical Express to POFQ
Lunch at T-Rex in Downtown Disney
Dinner @ Chef Mickey with Jeff and Fam and Chris & Fam followed by Wishes from the Observation Deck at the CR! So excited to share our first night tradition with the family.

Saturday: Epcot in the morning and then head back to the hotel to meet Uncle Scott and Auntie Carrie, have lunch and then head back to Epcot for dinner at Teppan Edo and Illuminations.

Sunday: Breakfast at CP! 8:00 - so EXCITED to share the pre park opening and get a picture with the whole family in front of the castle. We will wear our shirts that I made!! Head back after lunch for a break and then dinner at 5:00 at the Wave. After dinner, head back to MK for EMH! I LOVE MK during EMH at night!! :lovestruc

Monday: Carrie's Bday - Head to AK for AM EMH! Leave after late lunch. Hang at hotel and rest/pool and then take the boat to DTD for dinner @ Raglan Road. We loved this place a few years back... Hopefully it is still good!! - Jeff and Fam are leaving monday night.

Tuesday: Scott & Carrie are heading out early, so Chris and his girls and us will head to DHS! Lunch is at Sci-Fi and then probably head back to the hotel. They will be getting Magical Express around 4 and we will head to the GF for a Family Portrait and then have dinner at 1900 Park Fare!

Wednesday: Today we will head to Epcot and spend the morning and leaving after lunch for a break. We will head back at night to tour the worldshowcase and have a late dinner @ Rose & Crown at 7:50 (Hopefully we will have a nice spot to watch Illuminations during dessert!)

Thursday: Today we head to MK for Rope Drop.... leaving after lunch for a little rest at the hotel and then we will head back and hop on the boat to the WL for dinner at Whispering Canyon. This was one of my most favorite memories from the last trip and even though I didnt LOVE the food, the experience and my kids laughter really has me excited to go back and have this be our last dinner!! After dinner, we will head back to the MK and wach the Electrical Light Parade (Wish it was Spectro though!) and then Wishes from infront of the Castle. (I am contemplating the Wishes Dessert Party) I just dont know if it is worth the money. I will wait to hear what Wendy thinks!!

Friday: Traditional last breakfast with Mickey at Ohana and then off to the MK for our favorite rides and leaving after the 3:00 parade. We have a 8:00 PM Flight! :sad1: As always I am sure both kids (and maybe us too) will be crying on the bus to the airport!

Ok So what do you think of our FINAL Plan!!!??? The only thing that may change is if I book the new mexican instead of Rose and Crown in Epcot!?

Loved your Mary Poppins themed night. You're so creative.

Plans sound great and the idea to send each family the planning folder is a fabulous idea.

If you don't do Rose and Crown you might think about the new Mexican place. I believe it is set up for Illumination viewing too.

Love the goodies for the airplane bags and I also enjoyed your Disney Night. Sounds like you are having fun putting the plans together. :goodvibes

I hope the new job works out so that I can see you in Oct. 2011. How are you doing with the running? I have been slowly creeping along. I don't have the time during the week now that I'm coaching and school is back in session. I keep moving up though. I registered to run my first 5k on Oct. 23. We have a local event that I'm going to try. My main goal is to run the whole thing without walking.

Your new plan looks good to me. I'd like to try out the new restaurants. I'm considering foregoing the DDP in October and trying out Tables in Wonderland. I have to pay adult prices for Lindsey now and she just doesn't eat that much. It makes sense to try TIW at least once and compare the expenses. :goodvibes

Hope you hear good news from the interview. I've got my fingers crossed for ya!
