We were there from sept.21 until sept.30 with FD, here are my thoughts on the restaurants we've tried (me & DD5).
Maybe It's because I'm used to different food (note that canadian eating should be similar to US
) but we did'nt liked much the food we ate at Disney.
Only 2 exceptions in Epcot, see below for details.
The dining plan was way too much food, we shared a lot of CS meals & ended up with a bunch left.
Here are the ADRs we had :
CRT (MK - lunch)
Major Domo Pie was good, other things including the kid's chicken meal were just ok
Chefs de France (EP - lunch)
Excellent food, I choose onion soup, croque-monsieur & green salad with chocolate profiteroles for dessert, DD had the hamburger kid's meal with a chocolate cookie for dessert, everything was very tasteful !
Garden Grill (EP - dinner)
worst food I saw, maybe because I ate at Chefs that same day, but the fish was dry, the turkey was undercook & the rest was not good as well, I munched on the salad
Akershus (EP - dinner)
Best food I ate in Disney (& DD5 agrees), the appetizer cold bar has really good processed meats, 2 kinds of excellent cheeses, smoked salmon
, I then choose the mustard-glazed salmon & DD had the pizza kid's meal, the salmon & vegetables accompanying it were fantastic !, the kid's pizza also had a different taste then what you eat at CS places, the desserts brought to the table were out of this world ! chocolate mousse, hot apple pie, cheesecake with raspberry coulis & vanilla ice cream
I could'nt believe I had read so much bad reviews for this one
Chef Mickey's (CR - dinner)
everything on the buffet was just ok, desserts were good
Crystal Palace (MK - breakfast)
everything on the buffet was just ok, we did'nt liked the puffed french toast & mickey waffles, most of the stuff is not really hot which we did'nt liked
Tony's Town Square (MK - dinner)
cesar salad & chicken kid's meal were just ok, thought we would enjoy Lady & the Tramp atmosphere but not worth it at all
1900 Park Fare (GF - dinner)
everything on the buffet was just ok, strawberry soup & cheese/tomato salad were good
& we also ate at those CS locations :
Everything Pop (Pop Century)
tried a bunch of things, reuben flat bread, cheesesteak sub, chicken cesar salad, pizza, nuggets, hamburger, breakfast platter, tie-dye cheesecake, plain cheesecake, everything was just ok
Pizzafari (AK)
pizza was just ok
Pinocchio Village Haus (MK)
pizza & cesar salad were just ok, chocolate cake was good
Fairfax Fare (HS) shredded pork sub was good
& did the Wishes Dessert Party (MK)
all the desserts were excellent & the location was superb to view Wishes, bear in mind we had a front row table, Tinkerbell flew just over our heads, we did'nt care about Spectromagic that night (cause you can't see it from there)
worth the $ IMO
This is just my opinion of course but I thought I would share.
