Hi Lesley,

I loved your trip report - you have such a warm and sweet writing style.

Sorry it's all over - I think we are all sharing your post vacation blues except ours are post trip report blues!

You kids are just adorable - their smiling faces have cheered up a few dull days at work!

I'll look forward to next year's report!

:grouphug:

Thanks soooo much! Next year it will be even better because I'll have a trip report in mind as I take pics, this year it was just me piecing it all together. . .gee one more thing to drive my family nuts about! : )
Lesley

Fantastic report! Your kids are just too adorable. Makes me even more impatient for the day I have kids of my own to share that place with! LOL!

As usual you didn't disappoint on Day 9 & 10!! :worship:

How did your son and husband like the tamer version of Mission Space? I've been on the intense version and I'm not a big fan. I'm hoping I'll be able to handle the new version.

Jen

Excellent job on the trip report. All the pictures were so cute, I really enjoyed them.

Aww-- nice story! I know that exact feeling when you leave. For me it starts about two days before check-out. I keep pushing end-of-trip thoughts out of my head so I can enjoy the remaining time but it's a slow, steady creep to post-trip bummage. The only cure is to start planning another! Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us.

I just wanted to say I LOVE LOVE LOVED your report! I am going in 4 weeks and am taking valuable pieces of info from your report with me (especially where to watch Illuminations as I had NO CLUE the best spot to watch from!)

I also wanted to say thanks for giving Mama Melrose a good review! We are booked FDP there and I was a little hesitant as some of the threads here didn't give it such a good review.

Once again, great report and you have a beautiful family! :sunny:

Leslie,

Thanks for letting us experience the vicarious thrill of a WDW trip through your eyes. Bye :wave2: till next time!

Kathy

Lesley,
I too am a teacher; we share our professions, our absolute LOVE for Disney, and the desire to be "in charge" with no change in plans!! :cool1: We are going in August (13-20), and my "kids" are all adults now: son, 17, is the youngest. My daughters are 22 and 25; they are coming as well, with husband and boyfriend in tow. I am so glad that my kids still enjoy Disney (tho' they're not obsessed, like I am). It's different now b/c we don't do the same things that we did when they were younger; but it's still so much fun, going to our favorite attractions and enjoying great Dis meals together! I agree with another poster that I want to be with my grandchild (years down the road) when he/she goes to Dis the first time! Until then, I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed reading about your kids (your whole family) in your report. First, about the post-trip blues, I totally understand. I agree with Ciera321 in that I am sad to think about leaving and we're not even there yet! Also, the last few days I also start to get a little somber thinking about leaving (almost like a Sunday night as a teacher, right?? :guilty: ) but try to push the thoughts aside. Going on here really does help us Disers to stay connected! I really hope that you WILL take the time to do a full report again next year. Please PM me if you do, so I know where to go, as I'm still trying to navigate my way through the boards. Someone else mentioned that she felt that she knew your family; I feel the same way...definitely a tribute to your endearing, down-to-earth, from the heart approach to telling about your trip. I feel like I've just finished reading a good book: sad that I won't hear about my "friends" anymore. You have taught this old girl something: I will try to let my family have more of a say on the upcoming trip (they call me "Sarge" when we're in Disney). It's too magical to spoil it for them by pushing and pushing when people are exhausted, etc.!! I learned a few tips that we will hopefully use in August. Most of all, you've brought the Disney magic into our everyday lives in a way that no other poster has done! Thanks for all of the time that went into your great report. Can't wait to read the "sequel"!!
Have a great summer! Gina :wave2:

Tigger Rocks

Lesley-I love your TR. Your kids are adorable and they seem to absolutely love Disney...I hope we have just as fun as you..can't wait for EE.

Lesley, I just wanted to say how much I loved your trip report! I don't even usually read them but someone posted on another thread how great yours was, and I got hooked! :)

Thanks for sharing your trip with us -- it was a fun read! :sunny:

Lesley- I had to laugh :rotfl: at this comment. I scrapbook and it is so funny how when you start doing something like that your whole mind-frame changes. I take pictures with specific page ideas in my head, and have even looked at stickers and took specific pictures so I could use the cute stcikers. It's a sickness, I know:blush: .

Not sure if you scrapbook, but if you don't, you should at least order one online- I have used Kodak website and photoworks, but since you spent so much time already uploading your pics to photobucket, you should see if they have one available. You already have so much writen in this TR that your captions for each picture should be pretty easy. Just an idea, if you had not thought of it. They are surprisingly inexpensive.

I really loved your report and like many others have said, it did help me to think of the need to let things "go with the flow", since I too am such a planner and want to pack as much in as I can. I like to go and be in the parks from open to close, but this year b/c my family wants to- I think I will take it at a much slower pace. We are going at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct for FREE DINING :cheer2:. I can't hardly wait for the trip- I am counting down :hourglass every day!!!

Thanks for the PM info on photobucket info a few days ago. I plan to try it soon. (EDIT- I did it and added pic in my siggie!!!- Thanks)

Good luck getting through life until the next Disney trip :rotfl2: . Try and shake those post-vacation blues :guilty: too, the next trip :cloud9: will be here before you know it :yay:

Thanks again  Bye!

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping us all entertained over the past couple of weeks. It was nice getting to know you and your lovely family!

Thanks for taking the time to write the report and especially for adding photos! I really do think photos add so much to the report!

I had never heard of the Painter's Pallet at Concourse Steakhouse! Thanks for sharing that with us, what a neat find! Since all our future Disney trips will be with kids, it's good to know!

Thanks so much Cass,
I feel like I know you because I've been to your website so many times. I was just exploring the Hidden Mickey site this morning actually and I love it! So. . .I assume youa re expecting since you said your future trips will be with kids? We started traveling with our kids when Lauren was 8 months and Luke was 3 and we have gone every summer since then and each stage was so much fun and continues to be. I (as I am sure you will be to) want my kids to grow up experieincing and loving Disney and so far I have been successful with that!
I am glad I taught you something new about the Concourse Painter's Pallet's, they are GREAT!
Have GREAT future trips and thanks again for posting and reading the report.

Congratulations on figuring out photobucket, it is fun! I am so glad you enjoyed the trip and learned something along the way.
I have never scrap-booked. i already put our photos in the new 2006 album and wrote next to each picture, and I printed out the trip report. Maybe next year I'll tackle scrapbooking!
Thanks again!!! Have a great trip!!!

Gina,
WOW I am touched. I love reading a trip report when I feel like you truly know someone, so I am glad that came accross and you feel like you know us and traveled with us. THANK YOU!!! Again, it's my first time writing one so I am so happy and thrilled that others have found it entertaining.
Now if Disney would just release those darn summer package rates so I could start planning next years vacation I would be happy.
Have a magical trip with your family. I started my kids very young and hope they will continue to travel with us until they have spouses of their own as well. Have a great summer and school year!
Lesley

Thank you for bringing us all back to our favorite place in the world! It has been a pleasure getting to know your whole family along the way. I just might need to try Concourse, I was thinking LeCellier, but maybe I should switch...? I also will be looking for that special spot to watch Illuminations.

Thanks Agian and happy planning for 2007.

Erica,
Have a GREAT trip. Yes, that view by Italy for Illuminations was WONDERFUL. Be sure to get there about an hour early and then send someone for drinks and enjoy!!! We have enjoyed Mama's two years in a row. Always ask your server what their favorites are, that is what we always order and are never disappointed!
Thanks for reading and posting!!!

You know, I have read a lot of negatives lately about LeCellier here on the DIS and them being sold out and SO busy all of the time. I would give Concourse a Shot. I read here on the Dis that it is the most underrated restaraunt at the World and I have to agree. Whatever you decide HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!
