Hi all...

How does the 10 day world ticket work (is there a thread for this one already 'cause I can't be the only one ever confused by this)...

I get the hopper passes...

7 day hopper plus= 7 individual (no necessarily consecutive) days at four main parks with separate 'plus' visits to additional Disney areas/waterparks, but how about the 10day World ticket. It's been the subject of much debate!

Regard

Alton!

We just used the 10 day world pass in Jan. They were great! They saved us alot of money and I can't think of one negitive. You have 20 days to use the 10 day pass starting after the first use. You do have to use biometrics (finger scan). There is nothing to hand it. It is not a voucher but a real ticket. You can also go to waterparks for 10 days, DQ for 10 days, PI for 10 days and one free breakfest per ticket. 350.00 ea from Paramount travel. I just bought three 30 days world passes from Paramount for 310.00 ea. I don't know why it is cheaper but it does include everything that the 10 day pass offers and more, Kennedy space center and several musuems. It is only available by phone. This ticket is a voucher and must be turned in at guest services. It comes with a free breakfest voucher too. Hope this helps!

Ok, one more time.... :)

You can use the 10 WP much like a UPH pass. Now, the pass is good for up to 10 days of admission to MK, AK, Epcot, MGM, PI, TL, BB, WWS, and DQ. The pass expires 21 days after it is first used at any of the WDW venues listed above.

Now, if you were to take a 2 or 3 week vacation and split up your stay all through the many tourist attractions in FL, this would be a great pass to have. The pass is designed for the UK traveler. They tend to save for longer holidays and therefore might spend a month on holiday where most of us in the US don't tend to spend more than 7-10 at a time on vacation.

Now, the bad part of it is that if not used wisely, it would be a waste of money. Keep in mind that a night at PI would count as a full day of use just as a full day of use could be done with a visit MK in the morning, DQ in the afternoon, and PI at night. So, it would be up to you to make maximum use of the pass.

Only Paramount Travel is still selling these passes to US residents. I would suggest waiting until you are a month or so out before you purchase the 10 day WP. The passes are only good for a few months before they expire even without being used. This is because the rates change based on the season in which they will be used. Mickey

Hi Mickey,
I did a lot of research on these passes before I bought them and have never heard that "The passes are only good for a few months before they expire even without being used." Now you have me worried. Can you please explain?
Thanks.

I have heard people mentioning an expiration date on the 10 day pass too. All I can tell you is the 10 day passes that we just used in Jan did not have an expiration date. The 30 day pass does have an expiration date of 5/31/04. Call Paramount travel to check on expiration dates 1 888 281 6699

Correct me if I am wrong, but the 10 Day WP being sold right now, is only good if first use is from May 1 to October 31, 2003. I do believe there is some sort of a time limit on the passes. Maybe I'm wrong. I know the rates change on these if you follow their sales prices from Virgin or Theme Park Land. Mickey

We've bought 10 day passes for our next visit in August & yes we are going for 2 weeks.

They cost £189 for an adult pass which is approx $283.5 I think, do check the maths!!!

They include a character breakfast but because this is a cheap price they do expire in October.

and 21 days after 1st day of usage. hope this is of some help
