Does anyone know anything about the 10-day world pass? Is it only for visitors from the UK? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kathyg,
I've never really heard of a 10 day pass. do you know how much it cost? It's been our experience that if you're going to be in the world more than 8-9 days, you're better off buying an AP or PAP.

Paramount sells the 10 day World Pass. Although it was intended for the international market, as far as I know, it can be sold to U S residents. Several DIS'rs have reported buying and successfully using this pass. (Although I have not purchased this particular pass, I have purchased and successfully used PHP passes from Paramount). Do a search on the Budget Board for first hand reports.

The 10 Day ticket allows unlimited admission to the four major parks, the waterparks, PI after 7 p.m., Disney Quest and the WWOS for 10 days. The 10 days do not need to be consecutive, but the pass does expire 20 days after the first use. In the past, the World Pass was valid for only certain times of the year, so if you decide to purchase it, be sure you ask about any expiration dates/blackout periods.

This is the description of the 10 Day World Pass from Paramount's website:

Disney's 10 days World Pass
10 Days of admission to all Disney Theme Parks including Water Parks, DisneyQuest, Pleasure Island and Wide World of Sports. Each day the World Pass is used at any Park or Attraction constitutes one full day of use. Freedom to visit multiple parks on the same day. Admission to sporting events at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex requiring separate admission charge is not included.

One Character Breakfast available at the following participating restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resorts: Garden Grill at Epcot, Restaurantasaurus at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Hollywood and Vine at Disney-MGM Studios or Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort (Reservations are required).
Use of the Walt Disney World Resort transportation System (includes monorails, ferryboats and motorcoaches).
THE WORLD PASS EXPIRES 20 DAYS AFTER DATE OF FIRST USE.
Some restrictions may apply.

As you can see, the 10 Day World Pass currently comes with a breakfast voucher that is valid at selected WDW restaurants. Paramount also sells certain other tickets. You can purchase via phone or online and you may pick up your purchases at their Orlando office if you want to avoid the shipping charges.

I tried to do a search but it was disabled.

Your info was helpful. But, I'm still trying to figure out the catch. Disney's 10 UPH is almost $70 more and that doesn't include a breakfast. Call be skeptical, but I always wonder what (if anything) is lurking. I would hate to get to Disney and have the passes not accepted.

You might want to post over on the Budget Board and ask who has successfully used the 10 day pass. I did that recently, I've never seen anyone say there has been a problem, it seems completely legit. I know what you mean though, it is a bit of a leap of faith. I emailed them from their website and they sent an 800 number to call with any questions. Maybe you will feel better if you call them directly. It is a good deal.

Kathyg,
the catch is this: the UPH passes do not expire if not used, whereas the 10 day world pass expires 20 after it's first use. that would be my guess as to the price difference.

nevermind, I think I'm wrong on that one. are UPH's just like the old lenght of stay passes? If so, then I'm wrong. sorry.

We just returned 1/13 and used the 10 world pass w/o a problem. We enjoyed having the option to go to a waterpark, DQ and or PI everyday during our trip. We won't hesitat to use Paramount Travel again.

Thank you Muffy...
I do feel better knowing that someone has actually used this pass with no problem.

I wrote to Paramount and asked them serveral questions about the 10 World Pass and their breakfast voucher. Read below for their response. Mickey

nevermind.

I have a question regarding this 10 day ticket. One of the above replies said that the site said you could come and go at the parks (like a hopper).

But when I went to the website, that sentence was not in the description. The price seems like a great deal, but I wonder if you can use the tickets like a park hopper.

If you can't, that would make a difference in the value. We really like to go to more than one park in one day.

The 10DWP is indeed usable like a park hopper. What the site so poorly tries to explain is that from the first time you swipe that card for an admission into any of the covered venues, that visit is the start of the 20 day window that you have to make use of your 10 days. You can in one day, go to every park, DQ, PI, and all the water parks and have it only count as one day of use. If you are planning an extended vacation in the FL area, it allows you the freedom to spend several days with WDW and several days in other parks and sites with the chance to come back to WDW for a last few days of fun. It's really meant for the UK traveler since they seem to like to take long holidays in the FL area. It gives them more freedom to play and relax.

If that's not enough detail the pass could be used like this.

Arrival Day - Disney Quest and PI [Days used 1]
Day 2 - MK and TL [Days used 2]
Day 3 - SeaWorld (Different ticket media required)
Day 4 - Universal Studios (Different ticket media required)
Day 4 - Disney Studios & Disney Quest [Days used 3]
Day 5 - Stay in hotel and be romantic (hey, it could happen - lol)
Day 6 - Epcot & PI [Days used 4]
Day 7 - Shop around Orlando & PI [Days used 5]
Day 8 - MK & AK [Days used 6]
Day 9 - DQ & AK [Days used 7]
Day 10 - Character Breakfast and MK [Days used 8]
Day 11 - Resort/Pool day
Day 12 - BB & Epcot [Days used 9]
Day 13 - MK & Disney Studios [Days used 10]
Leave FL

I am planning on buying one of these for our trip. It's cheaper than buying a 6 night UPH and it covers the length of our stay and allows for us to visit a park, DQ, and PI all in one day. I figured out the cost for what I was going to try to do in pieces vs. buying this pass and the 10DWP saves us big time. We can't arrange to save money quick enough to make great use of an AP and without buying the PAP, you don't get DQ covered you only get 10% off admission. Mickey
