10 day MYW pass

Where did you get your info? This MYW 10-day ticket situation has so many rumors going on about it. On Mary's site, she states that there is a 10-day base ticket that you can purchase in advance (I think it's with Park Hopping). I know I am very confused about it  . . . I like what I read on Mary's site the best. . .I hope it's the "true" source  !

Sorry to say, but I got my information from the CM website this morning. There is a ton of information that Disney is giving their CMs and it was one of the many statements that CMs are suppose to share with their guest when the question is asked. As this whole situation evolves there will be lots of contradicting information. My information is as Official from the mouse's mouth as possible. But as I say, it is new on their website, so would explain why this is the first time we've seen it.

I called about an hour ago and talked with Augustina regarding the ten day tickets and she said that she has NO information. Information will come to her on Jan 2. I explained that I needed to know before then so that I can decide if I need park hoppers or the new MYW tickets and she said she couldnt help. She told me alot of the CMs are very frustrated because guests are calling and they have no answers for them. Who knows whats going on. Maybe I will try to call back later today to see if someone else knows. I've been calling the 1-407WDISNEY number. Does anyone have another number I can maybe try?

Well if they don't offer it without all the extras then we will have to purchase AP's. I only need hopping added as we never use all of our pluses and they last us for a couple of trips. That would also mean no package and no meal plan which equals a loss of money for disney.

It would make sense that they would offer these as they do the other tickets since getting people to stay longer in the parks means more $ for them.

I just got off the phone with a very sweet and patient CM. I VERY nicely asked her about the MYW tickets--specifically the 10-day MYW. She said she couldn't talk about the tickets, and that she was so sorry--they've been getting tons of calls about them, and some callers were very demanding (I took that to mean "rude" ;)). I explained that my trip is coming up in Feb, and that I would have already bought the Park Hoppers, but that I saw that MYW tickets would be available. I then told her what I knew about them (1-7 days)I told her that I saw info about them under the FAQ section on the official sight, and that it also mentioned that a 10 day ticket would be available. She seemed relieved about this; I guess since the 10-day MYW was on the official site, she felt like it would be okay to talk about it. She then said that she was embarrassed that she didn't see it before--that info was on her screen. She gave me the price on a 10-day base MYW ticket: $208.00,; Park Hopping: add $35; No exp:add $100. NONE OF THE PRECEDING WITH TAX. She also said that they would be available for advance purchase through CRO and the site on Jan. 2, 2005. Of course there was a little bit more schmoozing with her--it really seemed to help that I was very sweet AND she was very sweet.
I will not mention her name here, but I will PM you if you like.

Hope this helps a lot of you---it's helped me!!

Your information is incorrect and I am not sure where you got it from as the WDW/Disneyland Cast Portal says NOTHING about the 10 day ticket requiring all the extras, nor did they state that at the 8 hour class at DU that all CM's had to attend. The cast portal states the Base ticket for a 10 day ticket is $208 plus tax for adults, $167 plus tax (children 3-9) with the hopping option at $35 plus tax per ticket, Plus Pack at $45 plus tax per ticket (with 5 plus options) and no expiration is $100 plus tax per ticket. Nowhere on there does it state it has to be purchased with everything.

Also, The CM's on the phones have been instructed not to talk about the tickets until January 2nd, so Mom2RinJen it is not that she does not have the information, it is just that they are not allowed to discuss it yet.

Actually I found the information that Mom2RinJen was told also. So the information on the "site" says 2 different things. I will PM you to tell you exactly where the information is located in the portal and you can read it for yourself. I'm sorry if the site had wrong information. Obviously they are reporting so much information even they can't keep it straight.

Thanks N2mm I see where you are talking about now. Seem to contradict itself doesn't it. I think that the information just has not been updated. All the current info (including the pricing section) states the 10 day ticket the same as all other tickets (with options)...even in the class they had options avalaible on the 10 day ticket. I guess we wait the week and see how it comes up in the live system...

Thanks for confirming that I'm not nuts and reading the wrong information. (That there is acutally 2 completely different postings.) Whew! I hope the earlier thing is wrong, because I have alot of friends that are definitely interested in the 10 day ticket with and without options!

Arggggg! Whats a planner to do? LOL me and my dh were going to sit and figure out if we needed to buy park hoppers tonite or wait and buy the MYW next week. Wish we could get a real answer. Doesnt Disney know that us planners need the info. especially if there is a visit coming up quick? Any ideas on why they arent allowing CMs to talk about it? It's all so confusing darnit!! What to do...what to do. So for those of us who's trip is coming up in the next couple weeks and havent purchased our tickets yet, are you waiting to get the MYW or are you getting park hoppers. They way I have it figured for us, if we get park hoppers we're only going to get 4 day tickets. If we get MYW, we are going to buy 10 day PH no EXP to use for two visits. Here's another monkey wrench....I can check out APs and see if I buy an AP would be cheaper than the 10 day MYW.....Oh the possibilities! LOL No wonder I have to dye my hair again. :earboy2:

The CM I spoke with said it is very frustrating for her not to accomodate guests with inqueries about MYW. . .she said that all CM were not supposed to talk about the details of them until Jan. 2.

I feel bad for those people who need to purchase tix for the first week in January! Although I think CRO would make an exception for them.

This is a link to a thread that has another link to the Official Ticket Center. I called personally just a few minutes ago, and everything seems AWESOME!!!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all of your help.

And the verdict is in:

The 10 day ticket is in the live system just like all the others. It can be bought with or without the options (add ons). It is kind of hidden, so until the CM's get used to the new system they may not be able to find it, BUT it is there... :)
