10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Chris and I have decided to stay at the Airport Hyatt the night before the cruise. We will be arriving in Orlando in the late afternoon and just want to go up to our room, get settled in & get all ready for the next day!!
I booked the room last night and was able to get the Stay Certificate for $141.00.

I have a FE question. Are we suppose to give each child something or each cabin a gift? I was wondering how everyone was planning to do this. Also, does anyone have the "pattern" or measurements, for the FE? I have a friend who is going to help me make one this summer. Thanks for the help. Also, thanks to Denise for organizing all of this, and for breaking down the ages of the kids.

Thank you for organizing the FE, I will take Thursday if that is ok. My mother would also like to participate but we could do a treat together on Thursday if you want to keep the day numbers even. Are we not doing FE on Friday? If you need to switch our days around it is fine, we have 3 mail carriers (DD,DD,DS) so it will not be a chore for us on any day, and feel freee to spilt my mother and I up too if that works better. My info has not been posted on page one yet so I will PM her now and fill her in. We are in cabins 2577(my parents) 2579 me and DD13, DS11, DD6.

I have you down for Thursday and your mom down for Thursday. You can give seperate gifts or one together, it's up to you. We're not doing FE on Friday because this is a busy day with CC, packing and the "Til we meet again" show.

You can do it any way you want. Some are giving only to the children and that is fine too. I will be giving one per cabin. Also, PM pahrumpgirl and she will give you the directions on making a FE.

I told you pages ago that I was BLONDE!!! Thanks for bringing to my attention that I had listed ALL the kiddies!! However, if anyone wants to deliver to all the children and your gift is flat, you could just slide it under the stateroom door.

I will have a delivery list available for everyone. You can get it from me at the port or if we do a meet on the first day, I'll pass them out then.

Speaking of a meet,has anyone definitely pinned down a meet yet and I just missed it? If not, I suggest, Saturday at 3 pm in the Promenade Lounge. How does that sound? Let me know...

Christine -- I especially like the idea of taking a pirate night portrait with our whole DIS crew. To me it sounds like minimal effort with maximum reward!

Denise -- I think a 3:00 meet sounds great! If no one objects I think this would be the best time to get together.

We had a great time in Charlottesville this weekend. Amazing weather in a charming city. I even scored a "cruise hat" (wide brim, crushable, RED) during our travels. Plus I tracked down my Father at home and I am happy to report that he is doing well.

The Pirate Night photo and the 3:00 DISmeet both sound good to me. As for the other exchanges... I don't scrapbook, so that one doesn't appeal to me. The recipe exchange could be fun.

Hello from sunny Fargo, ND. WHAT a travel day. Left the house this morning at 3:30 - needless to say I took a nap once we got here and it will be an early evening for me.

DIS Meet - I thought we decided on the drink station on deck 9 so that those that need to watch kids in the pool can multi-task. Then maybe I missed something.

Well, I should unpack and press those drat shirts that I can't seem to pack without getting them all wrinkled. Have a good evening!

That sounds good. I plan on leaving Wynn to watch the kids swim and go drop of carry-ons, and put out gift baskets on the bed for the kids, but I am sure I will be back by the pool before 3:00. I'm not wasting my time indoors!

What does everyone think about posting family pics? I think it helps to have a face to go with a name when chatting, and it will help us recognize everyone, too.
