10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Which one are you, Lois? :goodvibes

I am the one with the short dark hair in the pink shirt. My better half is next to me.

Here's our picture from our last trip to the World. Steve and I will be married 25 years by the time we cruise.

We got some good news today. We have one of our DVC contracts for sale (BWV) and we accepted an offer from a buyer today! That leaves us 300 points (2 SSR contracts). Our BWV was 350 points and the way Steve works, it was hard sometime getting to the World to use all those points! Trust me, the will was there!

Hey Lois,

Which day did you want for the FE?

I really don't care. Just give me a day and I will make it happen. Lois

Lois,

How's Haley doing? Do you have anymore pics?

Who all is staying at WDW after the cruise?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hello everyone! It feels like forever since I've posted.

I love seeing the pictures of everyone! I'm starting a Word document with the pics and names so I can print it off before the cruise and "study" on the way down. :rotfl2:

Here is a pic of us on Castaway in 2007:

It's not our fanciest picture, but I love it! It just takes me to such a happy place.

This next one is of all the kids that are going to be there (except the dark curly headed cousin). Kurt will be 10, Faith (shorter and in pink) will be 5, Emily is also five, and Natalie will be 18 months.

Here we are with Mickey at MNSSHP last year:

I'll post pictures of my parents and sister's family later from the other computer. I don't have them saved here.

Have a great weekend!!

Lois,

How 'bout Wednesday/Cozumel?

That will be great!! Do I need to remember or will you provide us a list closer to sailing? I guess If I am smart I will just add it into the schedule NOW!

As everyone know Janet and I are doing WDW before the cruise before this cruise. I can not believe I have all three weeks paid off. I really do not know how I did it. Got to run need to get ready for work. Lois

Good morning everyone! Don't you always get a little misty on Saturdays? I always do when I think of the Magic sailing out. Of course, they sailed out on Sunday last week, so I'll save my tears for tomorrow! :rotfl2:

Here is a picture of my entire family that is going. None of them have ever sailed before. I'm so excited! :yay: I just pray that nothing happens to prevent them from going. My mom is worried that something will happen to one of my two surviving grandparents. I keep telling her that there are 51 other weeks of the year that can happen.

Chris & I are staying at the Contemporary Tower MK View after the cruise. We will be there from Oct 11-14 & are going to MNSSHP on Oct 13.

Hi everyone. Hope your weekend is going well.

It's a holiday weekend for us. DD & I are going to see High School Musical on Ice tomorrow morning. DH & DS just rolled their eyes at me when I asked if they wanted to come too :rotfl2: . They are driving us up (to Auckland central, which is about 1 hour away) & going to entertain themselves for an hour. Then we'll have lunch.

We are going to be at CBR from the 11-18th. Not doing MNSSHP though. Taking my parents & brother to their first ever Disney parks :cool1: .

On the cruise I want to have Palo brunch (haven't been to Palo at all yet) and sit on our veranda relaxing. At WDW looking forward to Expedition Everest & Tower of Terror.

On the cruise, I'm looking forward to sitting on deck 10, late at night, with my DH Steve. It's kinda our "thing". He's looking forward to the Cove Cafe.

At WDW starting the 11th, we're looking forward to showing our DGS WDW for the first time. We're trying to talk our DIL into her and Nate flying down and joining up with us after the cruise for a few days stay in a Ft Wilderness cabin!

Oh. forgot to mention that our BWV DVC contract that we had listed for sale thru TTS just had an offer put on it and is now on it's way to Disney for ROFR!

That leaves us with 2 SSR contracts. We'll probably buy a VWL down the road.

Just a note,

If you or anyone in your travelling party will be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, retirement, etc, please let Jan know so that she can add it to post #1.

Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just checking in...I have a friend who is boarding the Magic today in San Diego! I am so excited for them I can hardly stand it as they too are first timers like us. We are taking a trip there this week and I am trying to talk my DH into going down to the port the see her (The Magic, not my friend) :rotfl2: Anyway, he thinks we should just wait and see her first hand in Florida...what a party pooper!

I finally figured out what my FE gift is going to be, so now I just need to take a little time to set them going. It is very exciting to see so many families participating!

I hope by next post I'll be able to post a picture of our family too...it is very nice to see everyone so we'll already know some familiar faces getting on board.

On a side note, when is the first time you start to get "docs" from DCL (or travel agent)...it is after you pay in full or is it way closer to the sail date? Just trying to figure out when my next exciting milestone will be. :goodvibes

Official school summer here is only 7 weeks (i say school summer, because in AZ, calandar summer lasts from May-September), so it always goes by fast...not that I want to wish way my life, but that just means we'll be that much closer to our sail date. :woohoo:

I've caught up a little on the good news and bad news in the lives of you all. It sounds as though there are many of us who not only want to take this vacation, but really need to take it. Blessings coming all your way!

Good to "check in" with you all again.

First & foremost, Chris and I are most excited about the Roy Disney Suite, eating LOTS & LOTS of good food, meeting new friends, Serenity Bay :cloud9: , Paradise Beach in Cozumel & Stingray City in Grand Gayman.
We are also looking forward to Pirate Night, Formal Night and just relaxing together! :)
After the cruise, we are looking forward to watching WISHES! from our balcony at The Contemporary and getting lots of candy at MNSSHP. We also LOVE the Headless Horseman so we are looking very forward to that as well!!

PS: We also cannot wait to hear the DCL Horn blast, "When you wish upon a star." It gets us choked up every time!!

I am looking forward to more things than I can name! However, two things jump to my mind.

First, I love the feeling when I walk onto the ship for the first time. I almost cried when I smelled the familiar smell last time. That sounds crazy as I type it, but I know that you all understand! :lovestruc

The second thing I can't wait to see is the look on both of my nieces' faces as they experience it all for the first time. The adults going with us are first-timers too, but it is just so much more special watching the children. I have enjoyed my kids for the past two cruises. It will be so interesting to see the other two girls and their reactions.

Is it time to go yet?? :rotfl:

Karibritt01 6042 5, 6, 10 Monday / Sea Day &
Wednesday/ Cozumel

OOPS! Quick correction. Avery will be 5 upon boarding, and turning 6 on the cruise. So just 2 kids for me... 5 & 10.

As for what I am looking forward to... I have never been on a cruise, never been out of the country, so I am excited about EVERYTHING!! My kids are most excited about the kids clubs and the shows. Avery was telling me tonight how much Minnie loved her, then got so excited when I told her Minnie would be on the ship.

Well, my weekend was very hectic, so I am heading to bed... leaving a filthy house in my wake. I camped Friday night with Tucker's Cub Scout troop, and chaperoned on Sat. We had his "crossover" ceremony Sat night, then I had to clean dishes from dinner. Got home around midnight last night, and got the kids cleaned and in bed. Today I had to cook sausage balls for a reception after church. Then after church, I had to go to Girl Scout camp for a family picnic and Avery's "bridging" ceremony. I am her leader, so that was A LOT of work! Anyway... finally I get to go to bed... but my day starts in 5 1/2 hours! :scared:

Good night, all!
