I like our name. It is really cute.
Since it it freezing cold here in PA tonight, I thought I would think of something warm-like planning our next Disney Cruise! We had a terrible snow storm here yesterday. Where is the nice weather?????
Anyway, I hope to meet everyone here. I am already in the 'planning' stages of my door magnets. I made our door signs for our 11/06 Disney Cruise and there were many a time that I would come out of my cabin and have people standing at my door, reading my signs!! I had many compliments.
I hope to make even better ones for this cruise although it is some time away. I have some ideas though.
Just wanted to say Hello to the fellow Buccs! Anyone else excited about the planning stages?

Being in New York I can feel your pain about the snow. We were teased with the beautiful weather for two days then the snow. Mother Nature is picking on us.

Oh and yes, the planning and waiting is killing me.
I cannot wait!!

We've just booked. There will be Me, DH, DD (11 when we cruise, 1 month before birthday #12) & DS (9 when we cruise, 1 month after his birthday).

My parents and brother may be joining us.

Good Monday everyone! Hope all are well. Welcome Jacquelyn & Chris and Tania and family! We are going to have a great time getting to know each other, planning and then cruising!

Another crappy Michigan morning here - snowing again. We must have 3 or 4 additional inches out there - plus the 6 or 8 inches in our yard that has not melted away yet. Really wet and supposed to get warmer starting Wednesday so it won't last. After San Diego last week I can honestly say I was cold over the weekend (that is very rare for me unless I am sick). Must be I have adjusted because today was not bad.

Cute pups Jacquelyn - mud and all. We used to have a Dalmatian that would lay in puddles - and another that would not get her feet wet!

Thanks for the warm welcome! DH & I are very excited about our upcoming cruise although it seems like it is going to take forever to get here. But I know that all of you will make the planning stage fun and exciting!!
Thanks for the compliment on the kids, er, I mean doggies! Rudy is the black/white guy and Katie is the brindle gal. They LOVE mud and love to play in it every chance they get. Mommy and Daddy doesn't like it when they play in the mud becasue it is more work for us to get them clean.

We are now the International Buccaneers!!

This will be our (Jan and Dave's) 8th DCL cruise. We are also cruising on the DVC cruise this October.

Planning for cruises is what keeps me going in between cruises.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

Gail: We will be in Petoskey Easter weekend. Any chance you and Brother Dave are going to be available to meet for lunch or dinner? Just an explanation to our new DISers, Gail/DH and Me/DH met on the thread for the 9/18/04 Magic cruise which was abruptly ended a day early due to Hurricane Jean. We live about 3 hours from one another.

Have to get ready for work. I work for cruises and for my 6 grandchildren.

We were on the 2 Sept Eastern. Our very first cruise ever. We didn't rebook on board because we weren't coming back since it's such a long long way.

We have also booked the Double Dip Special Western the week before . We wanted to do the Eastern & Western but the dates didn't work out.

Just getting up to date on all that is happening. Welcome to all the new cruisers that are joining us.

Our weather has finally gotten warm We were in the 80s today!!!

Boys are busy with baseball, so the next few months are going to be crazy around this house. DS12 playes for his school, and when that is over, he will play on a travel team. (Went all the way to world series last year!!!)
DS9 and DS5(tomorrow) both play for a local recreational team.

Off to clean house before bed. Boys on spring break, and boy do they make a mess when I am at work.

Planning a trip the WDW for sept 29 this year, cant wait, maybe go and see the Magic and dream for a few minutes.

Just bumping up our thread.
We had 75 degree weather here in philly area. Boy was it nice! I also looked through our 2006 DCl photos. Wish our cruise was closer but it WILL get here.
I was looking through the Door Magnet thread and was wondering if anyone *possibly* started to think about making theirs. I have some ideas.
I made my last magnets about 6-7 months before cruising so I know I have some time to prepare. If you haven't had a chance to stop by the Door Magnet thread, give it a peek. It is a LONG thread but worth it. You WILL get addicted! I posted my 2006 Door Magnets for people to look at. Nothing too fancy for a "non-computer person" but I was very impressed at how nice the doors came out! My family was equally impressed. Someone posted Mickey Ears along with a pirate hat, princess hat and sorceror hat to also put above the cabin number. (on my last cruise, I made the Mickey Ears to put above the cabin #-looked fantastic!!!) Maybe this weekend I'll try one to see what it looks like printed out!

We leave in 43 days for a 7 night on carnival. Not even close to DCL, but it will do for a get away.

Happy Easter! The Easter bunny had to hop through almost a foot of snow here to make his deliveries. I landed in Grand Rapids last Tuesday and it was 72 degrees, drove north about 100 miles and it was in the 40's and woke up Wednesday to snow, it has been snowing ever since.

Have a great day everyone - I am jealous of your nice weather but we will see it - maybe in June!

Hope everyone had a great Easter. We had been in the 80s last week, then this week we had snow and 30s. They say it will warm up toward the end of the week, we can hope. Watching baseball games in this weather is no fun, way to cold. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Hello everyone! We booked this cruise while onboard the October 7, 2006 Western. It is driving me crazy to think about waiting that long before seeing the Magic again! I'm hooked. It was our first cruise and our first real experience with Disney.

My DH and I have a DS (who will be 10 at sailing) and a DD (who will be 5 at sailing). We have also gotten my parents to book a cabin. My mom is still unsure about going. We'll have her talked into it by then!

My DH will turn 40 on the 5th. I'm hoping that my sister and her family, my sister-in-law, and perhaps some of our friends will be able to come also. What a way to celebrate!

Right now we are booked in a Cat 10. I want to get a GTY cabin and hope for an upgrade. We were in a Cat 9 last time and loved it. My assistant principal (I'm an elementary teacher) booked a Cat 12 GTY waaaaaaaaaay after I did and ended up in a suite. Totally not fair. I've heard that you have to wait until closer to the sail date to get GTY cabins though. Right now my TA says there are none available.

I'm glad to find this thread! As we get closer to sail date, I'm hopeful my kids will find cruise playmates. They didn't enjoy the clubs that much last time, but I think it's because they didn't know anyone. They're both a tad shy at first but warm up quickly. Feeling like they know someone beforehand will help.

Maybe having others to wait with will make looking toward October 2008 more tolerable!

We will have our 3 boys with us on the cruise, they will be 6, 10, and 13. As we get closer to leaving we will have to let all the kids start chatting.

We are also having my father in law join us.

Thanks Kim! I think my DD would have enjoyed the club much more if she hadn't heard her brother say he didn't want to go. You know how younger sibling are. They want to say everything just like the older one does!

We had our first day of standardized testing today. I could really use a cruise right now!!! One day down, four to go!

This will be my 8th DCL cruise! Just love cruising on DCL! We are cruising this October on the DVC cruise.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I just got back from a 4 day trip to Morgantown, West Virginia where 2 of my 6 grandkids live. This weekend, our 2 Detroit grandkids will be spending the weekend with us.
