Just wanted to bump us one more time. I'm sitting at Residence Inn waiting for the shuttle to take us to the terminal..... AAHHH! I'm so excited!

Hello Everyone!

I hope every last one of you had a fantastic trip! I have been thinking of all my friends as wishing you well as I wiled away my week at work. :surfweb:

I am happy to report that I am feeling a million times better, and we have booked our consolation cruise for Nov. 15th.

Please come back and share all your fondest memories of the trip. I want to know every magical thing that happened so I can feel like I was there too!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to sign in and say hello from the World and to say thank you to all those who gave me and my family all of the wonderful goodies! My husband especially enjoyed the pixie sticks.
Sae travels everyone!

Coleane, Stephen, & Cameron

Hello,
Lauren-Glad to hear you are better!! We certainly missed you and Rich and really glad to hear that you are going in November.

Well, I cannot believe it is over. We had such a fantastic time that it was SAt morning by the time I knew it. Everything was perfect and Chris and I are both so happy to have met everyone. :goodvibes It was so nice to see familiar faces around the ship and at the Ports.

We are at the Contemporary. The MK is SOOOOOOOO crowded right now that we opted to leave and watch Wishes from our balcony. I have never seen the MK so crowded!!!!!!!!!! The wait times were well over 1 hour for major attractions. Even the Haunted MAnsion was posting a 40 min wait. But being here makes having to leave the Magic easier. I know I'm a big dork but I actually was crying when the DCL bus pulled away from the ship. I had THAT much fun!!
Well, fireworks are going to start soon. Going to the balcony now.
Hope everyone has safe travels home and I'll post more later!

Well, the Lindamood's got home safe and sound about 10:00 last night. Geez, that was a long day. We had a GREAT time and it was awesome to meet everyone. No one has offered to put my napkin in my lap, no one is cleaning my "stateroom" or waiting on my hand and foot. Hate it.

I had looked at the Baltic but DS (oldest) only gets 7 days vacation (3 must be used during Christmas break) so that is out for us as I wanted to take everyone in 2010. So, I guess we will do the 11 day Southern for Christmas, providing I don't die from the sticker shock. We shall see.

I also have a suggestion. Would people be willing to exchange addresses for a Christmas list? If you send me a PM with the info along with your email address, I will compile a list and send it out.

Well, enjoy WDW to those of you that are there and take care. Do I really have to go to work tomorrow??? Yeah, gotta pay for that next cruise.

We are back home... :confused3

It was great meeting so many DISers this past week. The cruise seemed to go by too fast.

We just got home. Had a nice day at Kennedy space center yesterday. Home this morning. Now off to unpack.

We left the ocean and returned to a river in our house!!!   Apparently while we were gone, a pipe on a toilet in the boys' bathroom burst and we came home to 2 inches of water in their bathroom, as well as completely soaked floors in DS 10's room and partially soaked floors in DS13's room. The water came out into our breakfast area, soaking the baseboards. I called the emergency water removal people last night, who were here until 2 this morning. I currently have fans and dehumidifiers running in half of my house. All the carpet and baseboards are out of the boys rooms, as well as the baseboards in our eating area. The cabinets in their bathrooms (each has their own sink area, sharing the tub/toilet area) will probably have to be replaced. I don't know about my kitchern cabinets yet. Patrick's room back's up to the kitchen. n There was so much water that it went out into our garage, as well as outside our house, where Payton's room is. The ground was soaked outside his room. You can even see where the water had gone up the bricks. I don't know how long this is going to take, but we are in for a major renovation on that end of our house (and it isn't even 4 years old yet). Payton got new furniture this summer, and now that is ruined. Say a prayer that we get a generous insurance claim rep when they come out tomorrow to inspect the damage. The bad thing is, I have to go back to school tomorrow. At least, I am able to use my washer/dryer. We are going to move the boys upstairs to our guest room while repairs are being done. I am wishing to have this stuff repaired by T-giving, but who knows.

We enjoyed our cruise so much. We rebooked for next October while on board. Hopefully we will be able to go, if they do not take away our fall break.

I love the idea of the list for Xmas cards. I will be pm my address shortly.

To those who still have to travel home, stay safe.

Have a great and restful Sunday.

Oh Gena, that is awful! We had a kitchen pipe go once during the night while we slept (based on how wet the basement was, it must have happened before we even went to sleep). I hope that the renovations and dry out are as painless as possible. No fun!

Gena, so sorry to hear about your troubles when you got home. :sad2: I hope it gets all fixed...that happened to a friend of mine and she ended up using her energy to focus on a mini-remodel...new flooring and cabinets, etc. Maybe that might work out for you?

I just wanted to chime in one more time and say thank you to everyone for all the FE gifts. It added so much to the excitement for my kids and they really loved being surprised with little gifts. So thank you again! :grouphug:

Jackie, we went to MK on Saturday too (our first visit ever) and was so frustrated at the crowds, we left by 7:00. :scared1: I also got teary eyed as we pulled away on the bus, but only because I knew I most likely would not be back.

I am sad to report that we did not rebook. By midweek I knew it was not gonig to happen...turns out my DH is not the crusing type. He is glad he went, but does not care to do it again. My DS (10) felt the same way. DH even suggested that my DD (8) and I do it together...thanks but no thanks I would rather the whole family go together or not at all. :guilty:

I am trying not to have post trip blues, so I am re-living it in my trip report and am going to work really hard in making a nice photo album with the over 500 pictures I took (digitally, any suggestions?).

Lois, it was nice to meet you and Janet on the Stingray City excursion...hope your 3 week vacation was amazing!

I did not get to the meet and greet to be able to meet many of you face to face, but thanks again for everything! For those of you who re-booked on board...happy planning for the next trip! :wizard:

Kim -- my husband wants to know if the kids know this time or if they think you are going to the beach!!!

Look forward to seeing you around work and planning for our cruise over the next year.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of the great FE gifts. My daughter called it tree mail. She had such a blast taking our gifts to all of the FE. She would run from door to door saying I found it!!! She got used to looking for the FE.

I'm already starting to think of next year! Thank you again.

I have already been to Walmart to get some pictures printed out. We also made a trip to the my daughter's doctor this morning as she has been screaming for 2 days now with ear pain. We stopped at a Walgreens yesterday while we were driving home and had some drops called in but it didn't seem to help. The doctor checked her this morning and he said it was a severe case of swimmers ear and put a ear wick in to help get the medicine in her ears better. At least it didn't start till the end of vacation.

She is feeling some better today. Gotta finish unpacking and start getting ready for work and school tomorrow.

Kim, Payton will be thrilled to death to find this out. He became such buddies with Hunter. I just need to make sure not to say anything to him in case you want to suprise the kids again.

I also want to say thank you for all of the FE gifts. My boys really enjoyed seeing what we received each day. I feel so fortunate to have met all of you. I wish we could all cruise together again.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will still have a fall break next year. We are booked for the Oct. 3rd sailing. If we do not get a break, we will have to change our sailing dates.

Everyone have a great Monday. I'm off to do more laundry.

Gena

Thankyou to everyone who was able to add us to the FE mail. We really enjoyed it. Hope everyone had a safe trip home. cindy

Gena-
We will have to get the boys together, HUnter really enjoyed getting to know peyton..

We have not decided if we are going to try and surprise them or not yet. Will have to wait and see what happens.

Off to get boys to school and off to work.

Kim

Good Morning,
Gena-so sorry to hear about your flood. I know how you feel since we had the same thing happen to us after our Honeymoon in '99. We were gone for 2 weeks and came home to an absolute nightmare!

Thanks to all who gave us FE gifts. We were so excited to come back to the room and find something waiting for us.

I am still a little sad it is over. We had such an amazing time and it was certainly our best vacation ever. :yay: I'm not sure if anything can top it.

Well, I need to organize my "well over 50 pound suitcases" before tonight.
We are going to MNSSHP tonight :yay: :yay: so it needs to get done pronto!
I have SOOOOO much stuff to bring home. I'm not looking forward to laundry.

We were at the MK until 1 am last night so we are not very motivated to get to Typhoon Lagoon this morning. Looks like we may skip it altogether. Who knows???:confused3

Have a great Monday everyone. :)

We made it home by 6:00pm on Saturday. The kids and wife (deego - Denise) are sad the trip is over. We are looking at re-booking in 2010, just need to firm up some vacation days.

It was great to meet you all!!!

The FE gift giving was awesome, the kids and us loved it.

You were all great and keep in touch.
