10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Hey all! I am so glad that I am not the only one feeling the last minute crunches and stresses of getting ready. It does make me glad I took care of my FE's long ago though! We did get 99% packed yesterday. Why is it that I spent a week semi-packing for me and the kids, piles of clothes on the dining room table, crossing off lists and going over every last detail and it took my DH literally 10 minutes to pack his clothes. His stuff is so much less complicated than the rest of us!

Today is just getting the house picked up and such....anyone else neurotic about having their house clean before they leave?

I ordered Old Trolley Tour tickets yesterday on-line and got them printed...having never been to Key West, I figured this would be a great way to get around. Getting ready to do the 24 check in for our flight...going to get mani/pedis today with my 8 year old DD, picking up my DD sweater from last season from the alterations place...got it out the other day and saw that the seam in the sleeve have been torn open all down one sleeve.

I have no idea how I will be able to sleep tonight...barley got any last night. I'll keep checking in, but it looks as though our birds (I mean Bucs) are all starting to fly their coops. Safe travels to everyone over the next few days!

We are flying Air Tran and sinced I booked our tickets before April 1st, we can each take 2 checked bags with no additional fee! All that much more I get to buy on the trip.
I should probably START packing now, we leave in 24 hours.

Mindi- We were leaving the house at 5 in the morning. Our big problenm is there are 6 of us that need to get to the airport will our luggage. We were pushing it in the expadition. We are going to see if my mom and the neighbor can follow each other in their cars to get us to the airport, have not even began to think about getting home. will worry about that later. I will let you know if the neighbor cant help us. Thanks for offering DH assistance. Congrads on the weight loss. Plane leaves in 25 hours

Just let me know. He said he didn't mind helping and he can get an Expidition or Excursion or something big like that no problem at all. (He works for Hertz so he drives a different car everyday depending on what's going on.)

Lauren and I will not be coming on the cruise, as she's had some complications from her gallbladder surgery and won't recover in time to make the trip. She's doing great and recovering very well in her hospital room as I type this, but the timing of the surgery just is too close to sail time. We wish everyone well and hope to have the opportunity to sail with you guys in the future.

Lauren, oh my gosh my heart aches for you right now! I am so sorry to hear you will not be coming on this trip. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you take this time to heal and get better. Sounds like you have a great hubby taking care of you!

I can't believe that after waiting 1.5 years, our time has finally arrived.
Being on the boards and meeting everyone here has made the wait bearable and enjoyable.

Thank you to all who have listened, asked about, been supportive and cared about our Katie. She is improving everyday and there is no doubt in my mind that she will indeed walk again.

I know in my heart that each and every one of you are special people and I can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday at 3pm. Chris and I are looking very forward to it.

I am very saddened to hear that Lauren and Rich will not be joining us due to complications from surgery. I hope that one day they will be able to go on a Disney Cruise with people as wonderful as we have here! Get Well Soon!!

We are leaving in the morning.
