We had a late start yesterday and headed to Epcot. We did rope drop last week for MK and the studios so we had a fairly late start, well for me anyway, and arrived at the transportation center around 10:30am. The people queuing to buy tickets and to get on the MK monorail was unreal. So many people. I should have taken a picture to show you guys.
I have asked this a million times before but how many people do not plan their time at Disney at all? How is that fun waiting in lines all day long?

I am not an obsessive planner, I don't book dinner reservations or advance fast passes days in advance but I make sure that i don't go a park when it has extra magic hours as I stay off site and I read the easy WDW and touring plans website to find out which parks at most likely to be a bit quieter than the other parks. Plus most of the time I try to make it for rope drop.

Anyway we headed to the Epcot monorail which was nice and quiet and I felt bad for those people, in that heat with all those people that looked like they would be waiting in lines all day long.

Edited, thread title.

OMG - I thought you meant it got into an accident!! Might want to clarify that thread title!:eek:

I know what you mean - lots of people get lined up for things that they really shouldn't or don't need to - they could have just (a) taken the ferry across and (b) I think they could have bought tickets at guest services. You don't need tickets to get to the magic kingdom, just need tickets to get into the park. Like, its OK even to walk from the Contemporary to the MK in order to ride the monorail to EPCOT. You don't need to get a ticket to MK to do that. Heck, you could even take the monorail from any of the MK resorts, not go into the parks but rather go to the bus stand and take a bus to any other non-monorail resort without needing a ticket. You wouldn't want to do it, but you could.

Yeah, the title made it seem like an accident of some kind. I think you mean to say jammed, or packed...

I see I'm not the only only who clicked on this thread thinking that there had been another monorail accident.

I thought the same thing too. Crazy how one letter changes everything. :lmao:
Glad there wasn't an accident involving the monorail.

Another one here thinking there was an accident!!! You may want to change that title. Glad it wasn't serious.

I too thought it was an accident based on your title. Glad everything was ok.

Not surprised to hear there was late crowds or non-planners. That will always occur. What I don't get is how people complain about the horribly long lines but don't plan their day accordingly. We had neighbors who did this very thing. Slept in and were always shocked by the crowds. Never did they change and get up earlier to adjust accordingly.

I also thought that it "rammed" into something.... Not that it was jammed with people...haha! Whew!

So while we were rammed up waiting in this line, I saw a car jam this other car from behind.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?!?

add me to the list of people who thought one monorail crashed into the back of another monorail. (rammed)
I think the OP meant "crammed" or "jammed"??
Title of thread should be edited to clarify

Just to say I knew what rammed ment. It's when you have to ram yourself and push to get on the monerail, eg busy!

rammed Adj. Very crowded, busy. E.g."It was an awful night, the club was so rammed we couldn't find space to dance."

It's slang in the uk.

This is why I prefer the ferry. The monorail can be a pain, jammed, rammed or whatever. ;)

Very misleading thread!! I thought it got into an accident also. Header needs to be corrected or deleted.
