Normally on our MK day we take an 8:05 am so we are done eating before the park opens. This year, our MK day is also an AM EMH day so we are taking a 10:30am at CP (last time for breakfast) and spending the first couple hours riding the rides instead :thumbsup2

Anyone else ever done this?? How is the food selection at this time? Will we be rushed out before lunch starts?

TIA!

We have not done this for CP but have been at later breakfast seatings (after 10am) for CRT twice, Tusker House once and CM once. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time with the characters and there was still plenty of food. You should be fine. :) I actually planned it this way so we could ride some rides before the late morning/afternoon rush and make rope drops. We just had a granola bar or something at the hotel or while waiting for the bus to hold us over until breakfast.

Good to know, we are trying the same thing at Tusker house.....except I got my EMH mixed up, and instead of it being early EMH that day, it is evening EMH, so really, my plan is a bit flawed, but I figure if we are there at rope drop we will have time to do a couple things before our 10:20 ressie.

Hi
We always do this. We get a late time for CP. We go on an EMH day, get to MK by 8:00 and ride for two hours. We just have something little in our room before we go, like cereal bars, fruit, etc. Then we have a nice relaxing breakfast. The food is still plentiful and really good. We have a 10:15 ADR for August at CP. Have a great time!!

We have done this the last two years with adr's at 10:15 a.m--same scenarios--the morning of extra magic hour. We get all of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland done, and then have a nice, relaxing breakfast. The food selection is fine...they still make the omelets if you want one, plenty of puffed french toast--got to admit, I pig out on it!, and everything else.

I also try to get a 8:00 time for breakfast at CP. We did go once for a late breakfast, the food was just as good, and we never felt rushed. The characters still come around to great everyone. We really enjoyed our meal. Have fun, I love CP.:lovestruc

We do exactly what you are doing.

On a MK early entry AM - we do a late 10:30 AM CP breakfast.

Get to the podium at 10:15 AM for the 10:30 AM ADR.
You will receive a a beeper.
Wait near or on the porch - the beeper will not beep/lightup far from the podium.
You will be seated by 10:45 AM
Not to worry. Breakfast items are still fresh and available.
The Pooh parade will still be going on.
If you eat slowly - you may get to also eat from the lunch buffet which should be out by noon.

Enjoy :cool1:

Thanks for the tips everyone!! This is our first time trying it this way and I am excited at the thought of having Fantasyland and Tomorrowland done before breakfast (And hopefully a FP for BTMRR burning a hole in my pocket!!!) We were hoping this could be a somewhat lesuirely meal (or leisurely by our standards anyway ;) ) without feeling rushed!

27 more days!! Can't wait!!

We always do this. We get there for EMH and get some of the big rides done with no lines. We then get a FP for something for after we eat and head to CP for our late breakfast. We always just have something small in the room in the a.m. to hold us over. We've never felt rushed and always have plenty of food. We actually really fill up on this meal and that way it holds us until dinner. It also gives us a break when the park starts to get crowded. By the time we're done we can go use our FP and then do some of the "other" attractions that have less of a wait. After that, we often hop to another park to escape the crowds. Works great!
