Welcome everyone pixiedust: So glad you found us. Lots of newbies Sooo much fun

It's another lovely Monday here! Thankfully summer has finally arrived (though it was cool this morning - only 10 degrees celcius).

I'm thinking about starting a pre-trip report (and hopefully that will launch me into doing a full trip report). I notice that there are a few on our meet list who've already started.

I'm just not sure if I have enough thoughts to fill a PTR? :confused3

You should do it! It will help pass the time:thumbsup2 Lots of the pre TR's are not lengthy. I would love to read it!popcorn::

HI, we our booked for this cruise as well. We have never done anything disney wise for Halloween and we are very excited. I just acutally upgraded our room and the ship is really starting to book up now. We have a DS that will be three weeks shy our tunring 3. Does anyone know if he might be allowed top play in the 3-12 year old clubs because its so close to his birthday?

Most likely yes. Last time we cruised on Disney our daughter was 2, going to be 3 in 2 months and was potty trained and they let her go into the 3-12 club.

I am so excited about our upcoming trip on the Disney Fantasy. I have been on the ship before and I can't wait to get back on! Only 142 days left. We are a group of 4 adults.

I started looking at excursion the other day. I think I have found a great opportunity in Cozumel....we will be there from 8:00am - 5:30pm on 10/30.

The excursion that I am so excited about is the Tucan Sailing Adventure. The sailing adventure includes sailing, lunch, open bar, snorkeling, beach time, fishing, and spinnaker rides. It is a 6 or more hour trip for only $90 per adult, $45 for kids 12 and under. It sounds like a great value...and looks like a good option when compared to some of the port adventures the ship offers.

The company needs at least 6 adults to run the trip...so we are looking for at least 2 more adults from the ship. We would love to have some fellow passengers from the ship.

I can't post links because I don't have enough posts...but if you google cozumel sailing it is the first item that comes up.

I emailed this today and they are super friendly and quick to respond. They get amazing reviews on tripadvisor

Hope some of you are interested in joining us!!

I just requested to join the facebook group. Can I please be added.

We have plans of going on an ATV and snorkel Adventure but the only recomendation I can give you is What ever you do make sure you arrive on time back at the pier, the ship will sail without you :worried:

Yes...I'm aware of time...this isn't my first time ;-)

I have been told that the ship will be on central time so we should have 9 hours in Cozumel.

I've never been a fan of using the ships port adventures. They always charge more than what you can find on your own. For example beach excursions are always $20 or more dollars more from the ship...you can find the same beach and go to the same place for cheaper on your own.

Hi everyone. We just signed up for this cruise a week or so ago. I convinced my family to all go together on another cruise and this one visited some nice ports. Bummer that we have to tender in Grand Cayman - tough to convince my folks to get into a tiny boat.

Cruising will be
Olline & Charles - the grandparents
Jennifer, Brad, and Alex - my sister, brother in law, and their 2 year old son
Kim & Tim - me and my brother

This is kind of a last hurrah cruise for me. Found out end of March I have incurable cancer. Doing the aggressive chemo of course, hoping for remission but being realistic. So we are gonna cram in birthday celebrations and anniversaries and think of it as a good old fashioned wake that I get to enjoy with everyone else. We will try not to be too rowdy. Just kidding.

Don't think we will do the fish extenders but I would like to go to meet up something or other on board.

We are big Disney fans and have been going to the parks since the 70s as a family. This will be our first Disney cruise. We did Carnival to Canada a few years ago. Looking forward to the restaurant rotation and finding hidden mickeys. And watching my nephew in the splash zone!

I sent a join request for the Facebook group but didn't put in my disboard name ..... Grr. So hopefully the group moderator will see this. The join request from kgregson is for me - kimatiu. Thanks.

Welcome to this cruise and welcome to the Disboard too :yay:

Glad you found us, I'm Manny and please ask us anything that would make your vacation much better. :beach:

I must say that Disney Cruises are very adictive so already wishing you many many more cruises. :cool1:

Very sad we have to cancel out cruise but such is life. Luckily my daughter didn't know about it so that helps. She would be bummed more then me. Hopefully we can try to schedule something next year when she has time off from competitive gymnastics. I hope everyone has a great time and hopefully I will get to meet some of you on a later cruise. :)

Hey Kim, :welcome: to the group. We are not taking part in the FE either (not enough room in the luggage) but I am organising a Meet 'n' Greet/Candy exchange for the first day if oyu would like tojoin in with that. There will be more details about that posted here an don the FB group very soon.

Bet you have seen lots of changes at WDW if you have been going since the 70s - we have seen plenty of changes and we have only been going for the last 10 years. You will love Disney cruising - it's our favourite :thumbsup2
