well even us Bear fans can cheer on those packers...when they are not playing the Bears...but then this year in a friendly game of pick who is going to win each week I have been picking the bears to loose...don't tell my father!

As for pre-cruise ... since we will have our DVC points back in force by then (we did some borrowing this year so we've only got about 24 points for 2008 and are just going to bank them for 2009) we will probably spend a week at the Beach Club Villas so that we can enjoy the Food and Wine Festival before the cruise.

If I get my way we'll arrive at BCV on 10/17 ... I can't think of a better way to start the birthday bash than going to Party for the Senseless on the night of our arrival which would be my actual birthday.

Brenda, your birthday is 10-17?? So's mine!

I guess I'll be celebrating something on B.O.B. too!

Got home and my father-in-law called with questions - he was online booking his cruise!

Here are two of the pics I was talking about today.

The first is DD8 on the new Everest ride. This is taken just as we are starting to go backwards. I held the camera out and took the shot towards her. Wish I was a little more on her though..

Here is the Cuda shot that I got in the Caymans...he was about 4 feet long. I couldnt find him in the view finder so i just pointed and shot the pic.

Here is a quick pic of DD 8 on KK1 at the Dolphin Excursion. If some of you havent done this I would highly recommend it when you get back to Cozomel. There are two dolphins with there noses on her feet pushing her through the water. One of the best/funnest things we have ever done on vacation!!!!

Well, I can't believe it, but we'll have 6 more people in our travelling party!

In addition to my mom, who I booked with my room on Tuesday (who will probably invite a friend along), Pete's parents have decided to book, and Pete's sister and family will be booking also! WOW!

I'm going to have a LOT of t-shirts to make! Especially since I think I'm going to make 2 t-shirts (for Pete, Thomas, Mom and me anyway) one for embarkation day, and 1 for DISmeet day!

Nope - didnt get an answer from her - she's probably really busy at work with xmas etc.

I joined the 10/20 thread sort of late last time, so a lot of things had already been done by the time I arrived, such as the group name, "logo", etc.

Does anyone have the artistic talent to come up with a logo for this cruise? Something to use for t-shirt designs, etc. ????

By all means then, go for them on each 1,000. I just made a suggestion. The group can do whatever the group decides.

I thought 1,000 posts isn't much of a milestone with this group. I only threw every 5,000 out because it would allow more chances. 10,000 would be more of a milestone for as many posts as we will put up on here.

We shouldnt call them milestones - we should call them "Bobs"

Great idea to put them on the tree

We are smack in the middle of an ice storm today ... woke up to about a 1/4 inch of ice on the grass and trees; and the roads are nassssssttttttteeeee!

I took some pictures and would post them for you all to see, but our power has gone out three times already this morning and I'm giving it up for now.

Hope all of you are warm and dry and safe and ice-free... except for your freezers and mixed drinks.

We usually get a Budget rental car and drop it off before going to the ship, then get another rental car after the cruise and drop it off at the airport.

This works very well for us as we usually stay at the Radisson the night before the cruise. I drop the car off at Budget, then just walk back to the Radisson, meet up with the rest of my family, then take their shuttle bus to the port.

Last Oct we just hired the car for the duration and parked it at the terminal. Real easy but more expensive. Not sure what we're sdoing this time. It was handy though cos we left a load of stuff locked in the car so didnt have to take it onboard
