You know what Carrie I think Cocoa Beach is further away and they may not offer shuttle services.

Is there a website out there that you can put in your travel dates and it will give you the prices for all the available airlines. I think this might be a question for Jeff.

Ok so the car rental places do not have rate for 2009 yet, so I am using that Sat in 2008 just to get a rough idea of prices. Right now I have Avis quating me $61.05 for a compact car for 4 hours. I have Budget quating me an economy for $36.67 for 4 hours. I am really liking that price. For three that is saving us $170.33 or for 2 it is saving us $114.33. I just remember that my insurance campany offers me a discount on rental cars. I might jump over there and check.

Carrie, This what I have found. I'm going to ultimately save about $1000 from what I paid before.

How are you getting rates for Oct. 2009 for airfair. I keep getting told those dates are not available yet. I would love to compair air prices.

I'm using 2008 as a reference.

Jeff suggested travelaxe.com , but I also use Kayak.com

Enlighten me ... what is this 'Stroke of Genius' you refer to? I've not heard of that one. We did try a pretty good dessert wine at Party for the Senses called Fro Zin - it's the US West Coast version of ice wine but not nearly as sweet. And not nearly as expensive as Inniskilin Ice Wine.

Love ice wines. A Stroke of Genius is a really lovely cocktail. Thought you found the recipe for me on the other thread.

I might very well have found that recipe, Heather, and then forgotten all about it ... my memory has been really bad lately. :scared:

Lets see. I am trying not to spend all my time doing this since there is no telling if Scott is game for it yet. But I found the rental for roughly $37.00 for 4 hours. (Which I might change that now.) Then I went to kayak (Thank you Becky) I found air fair for $337.

Anyone else get one of these?

we got them!!!:thumbsup2

Hey Steve

Did you book your air, transfers, and hotel through DCL again? I am trying to find a way to make this a cheap as possible for us. So I was trying to see if booking air on our own would be cheaper but of course they don't have the dates yet. Then I thought we could use DCL air, hotel, and rent a car for the day but I am not seeing how that would work either.

For all of you who had rental cars. Did you park your car and have to pay for it for the week we were on the ship, or is their a rental car place there to drop your car off and rent a new one for the trip home?

I think Scott is leaning on it being the two of us, we just don't have anyone that would be willing to Watch Mackenzie while we were gone and get her to school.

We usually get a Budget rental car and drop it off before going to the ship, then get another rental car after the cruise and drop it off at the airport.

This works very well for us as we usually stay at the Radisson the night before the cruise. I drop the car off at Budget, then just walk back to the Radisson, meet up with the rest of my family, then take their shuttle bus to the port.

Christmas help.

Anyone know where I can get some replacement flicker bulbs for our US lights that ship to the UK cheaply. I can only get 220w over here in UK.

Thanks

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Enjoying reading and keeping up.

Glad to see the dolphin pics. We did a dolphin excursion with our daughter in '03 and would like to do another one this time. We'd like to do more than just stand at the edge, watch, and pet. It was great for a first experience though.

:santa:
