10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat - Thread #1 Part 2

My ds is exactly the same so no point in swapping

I've tried everything from rewards to timers and nothing gets him moving in the morning. We've even bribed him with 10 minutes on the wii before school if he's ready in time but even that doesnt get him moving

I have even threatened to take him to school however he is at the time - ie still in pj's, nudey inbetween clothes etc, but he just laughs.

Do it! Have clothes in the car of course, but I did that to Alex when she was small (it was only without socks and shoes) but she never dilly dallied again. She believed me when I threatened it!

Hi everyone!!
I'm new to the dis so please bear with me. My name is SULLY.
A "friend" of mine talked me into joining all you guys on the kk2 cruise.
As a matter of fact she said she would pay for the cruise and since i'm no dummy i said YES!!
I know she is married and on the dis a lot so as not to blow her cover, i'll call
her by a "code" name. I'll call her Sparrow.
Anyway, Sparrow started working out at my gym recently and we've really hit it off.
She says she has been married for over 30 years but it probably wont last much longer. I told her if she is unhappy she should leave him, but she says
he has a bad heart and cant live much longer anyway, so she may as well stick around to collect the insurance money.
I asked her why she ever married him to begin with and she said "he makes me laugh."
I think her husband is on the dis too. Goes by the name of Marmaduke or
Snoopy,? some kind of dog. Not sure.
Sparrow has been working out at the gym on a regular basis lately but the funny thing is, when she is finished with her workout, she goes and gets a
Diet Coke and sits there and watches the rest of us guys workout.
Weird huh?
Anyway i hope you will all welcome me to your little family. Looking forward to meeting you all. (especially the ladies)
I've heard good things about deck 10.
Maybe we could have a little excersize session up there one day on the cruise.

Personally I dont like any without a "head" - i.e. real people ones, I prefer ones with heads on. Is that wierd?

My favourite is Donald

My least favourite is Minnie - she annoys me! - all that head bobbing gets to me. And whenever I've tried to get her autograph she alswyas picks little kids instead - whats all that about - anyone would think WDW is meant for kids and not grown women clutching an autograph book

My favorite is obviously Goofy!!!!! i love him!
My least favorite is Minnie. Only because I grew up with tanya not liking her because she had Mickey and tanya didnt! She brainwashed me!

This is a pic of him in his Clone Trooper armour. He's part of the 501st, a SW costuming club that make appearances at charity and kids events.

Cass are you sure we are not some sort of weird twin couple from another galaxy? I means really, what are the odds of both of us with a ove of German Shepherds and Star Wars?! Woody is going to flip when he sees this!! We are hoping to head to Star Wars Weekends in June for a few days.

Well, we're WB and it's getting closer and closer so I guess we are just getting excited...

Below is our group pic from our August 2006 cruise. With a group your size, you might have to do what they do for DVC cruise and have your pic taken on the beach at CC.

I think we're going to get pushed off the ship(for the picture...) (maybe literally too...) or do it in the seats at the WD theater depending on their schedule...

Good Morning All

I woke up at 4:30 having one of those dreams you don't want to go back to sleep from for fear the dream will continue. In the dream, I had just been told I had six months to live..............

Now you see why I didn't want to go back to sleep............

Yeah, I had a dream about an ex boyfriend... but in my dreams I ended up much better than he did in life... reason to go back to sleep...

Where do you like to stay "on property" at WDW?

My top choice is: The Log Cabins in Fort Wilderness(this is my idea of roughing it, LOL!!!)

Yeah... there are days when I can't remember my own name... I'm thinkin after a couple of frosty drinks that won't be a problem... nobody will be able to remember their names either... We're getting lanyards with all of our names on them - something just short of the tags "Hello, my name is..."

I wanted to be the first to welcome you. I have been a lurker for a long time. You have found a really great group, my close friend and I were on the last cruise and had a good time. Well it would have been great but we could never get time to see the "sights" we wanted to see.

favorite disney hotel?
underdog likes the caribbean.
although in 1994 we had a ressie for cb and disney called and asked if we would like to be upgraded to the contemporary for the same price as the cbeach. we said of course and it was great. got to watch the fireworks every nite from our balcony.
over the last few years we have been staying at allstar movie and music and pop century(NOT P@@P brenda) we like them too.
we dont spend much time in the rooms anyway and we've never thought its worth the extra $$ to pay for scenery. (of course underdog is cheap too)

We've only ever stayed once on property - Neil doesnt like it. He likes to be able to walk to places to eat - not get one of those buses to different resorts etc. Even when we stayed on property we didnt use the buses - he hates buses. We still hired a car and drove to the parks.

We stay onsite AND get a car... makes everything much easier and you get free parking at the parks... think about it... you'll never stay offsite again... especially after we talk Neil into it...

I'd prefer a blizzard that would just have me stuck at home for a few days! But the last time we had a blizzard in St. Louis was 1982 ... we got 24 inches of snow in something like 15 hours. It was awesome!

Brenda... this is for you... Last Valentines day... 27 inches - followed by another foot on St. Pat's day... what is it with all these holidays???
