Lovely pics Karen of your garden........:thumbsup2

Hazel called back, seems they are having problems with the bus, she told me not to leave just yet, so I thought I'd bore everyone with some old WDW pics.

Hey that's pretty cool!:cool2:

Well, camping was a bust! It started out nice but on Saturday we had serious tornado warnings so we all had to huddle up in the bathrooms in the main building. They wanted us to tie up our pets outside!!:scared1: What???
So being the good doggy owner I am, I wanted to fib and tell them that Cabo was a Seeing Eye Dog and being trained so it was NOT an option. Instead, I just sneaked him into the bathroom and ignored the dirty looks I was getting.

A funnel was forming directly over the campground and people were freaking out! Green clouds all over the place!! Tony has video of the funnel forming on his blackberry but has to figure out how to post it first. The funnel dissapated (SP?) before it never touched down though. Horribly high winds and tons of rain. 30 minutes later, we returned to their site only to find 2 of the 5 tents that were pitched. The other three were in a heap two sites away.

We packed up everything left over and headed over to Wisconsin Dells (a popular tourist town about 20 minutes away). We were able to snag a 2 bedroom cottage for under $100.00 from the hotel we usually stay at. They also lost power for about 2 hours themselves with terrible storms. We thought we'd go and get some pizza but the restaurant was closed due to no power. The ONLY place that served food and wasn't jam packed was McDonalds (YUCK)! It'll do in a pinch though.

It stormed all night and we even had another tornado warning! ENOUGH ALREADY!!

We headed home Sunday morning and found a virtually dry basement. What a relief that was for us. BUT, Chuck's sister had 2 feet of water in her basement, Stacy's grandpa had over 4 feet in his and no power, and Chuck's brother had a flooded backyard that was seeping into their garage which houses their new kitchen cabinets while they wait for a kitchen remodel.

More storms are predicted Monday - Wednesday here in SE Wisconsin.

Stay safe everyone! AND....Stay cool!! :grouphug:

 Sorry to hear all that Nancy.

But glad everyone was ok and that you had a fairly dry basement.

Good morning all,

Congrats Karen, I have to get back on track, between the company, WDW and this graduations I have been so bad.

Have to take DS # 2 to the airport today--my baby goes off to the Airforce, just for 5 weeks. I dread when he is done with college and he moves for good. The hair was buzzed off last night. He wants waffles for breakfast then off to the airport.

Have a great Monday!!!

Hugs, Joanne:hug:

MG....so sorry to hear about your camping adventure from Hell, but happy to know everyone is safe and sound.

Went through 3 bottles of water and 1 bottle of Gatorade this morning already. Don't you know it, the AC broke down in my work car and the township mechanic is off this week. After tomorrow, the high temps are only going to be in the low to mid 80's, so that won't be so bad. Hey, I'm getting to sweat off a few extra pounds this way.............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Walking around this morning was a bit much however, I had to take slow steady breaths as the air is so thick with humidity. It's nice to be home for the next hour in the AC.......:goodvibes

Poor Andy! :crazy2:

I am so glad in these extreme weather conditions (including winters) that I am an inside postal employee and not a letter carrier!:thumbsup2

So, this is what I have to look forward to??? ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Thomas starts kindergarten this year, and I'm sort of looking forward to the "school stuff"....

Oh, yes the young years are the best!

I gave up even bothering to look at much less help out anything that Sean did after 9th grade!
"Been there done that, sorry, don't remember and don't want to! You're on your own bud boy!":lmao:

Really didn't feel like getting on the computer much after dinner, in fact I just crashed on the livingroom floor for a couple of hours, having leg cramps from walking around in this stinking heat and humidity all day long and tomorrow is supposed to be worse than today. I went through 5 bottles of water and 2 bottles of Gatorade today. I'm getting too stinking old for this job, to think I was a young lad of 24 when I started reading meters, now I'm an old fart of 53, my how the years have changed me...............:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And look, I get post #3113 to boot, this is my lucky day........

I sat in our school's courtyard in the shade. It was very nice and even breezy. I only lasted about 30 minutes, though, with the humidity.

Holy Cow! We just drove passed this house on Saturday afternoon before these pictures were taken!!:scared1: (Pics of house start on #3).

Jen, Janice, Cheryl, Glad everyone is ok. Jeff, are you guys ok too? I think we even have a couple other DISers from Wisconsin who haven't checked in since thread #1. Hope they are ok too!!

MG--never heard of Smart Water, maybe that's why I'm such a dummy......

Hazel and Lina had to go to CVS and I asked them to see if CVS carries Smart Water. I was just looking at the link you sent me. We don't have a Sam's Club card, but we do have a BJ's card. I wonder if they carry it, if CVS doesn't have it. Also, according to the link you sent, the price of 1.29 is cheaper than what I paid for a 20oz. bottle of Gatorade today.

I saw on our local news earlier a house in WI floating down a river, looked like the whole house went in one piece. I felt so sorry for that family, but at least everyone got out of the house before it floated away.
