Andy, I forgot to tell you good-bye and wish you a nice vacation,
so if you're catching up online down there, I hope you read this and have a wonderful trip:beach: :wave2:

Just came across this Rose, thanks..........;)

HI EVERYONE!
Welcome back to the NE, Andy! Hope Angelina had a wonderful time (and you and Hazel, too!)

Andy,

Hope you are having a nice time. Is the smoke effecting Orlando? We wil lbe down there in 7 days.......

I don't think the smoke from the Lake County fire was effecting the Orlando area.

Poor Andy. Not really a vacation for him this time is it? :sad2:

You know what Nancy, we went to Florida to relax, and that's just what we did, so maybe the fire and thunderstorms were a blessing in disguise, it kept us indoors, for the most part anyway.....;)

Andy, was this your first trip to Florida without Lina? I remember when we went to WDW with Chuck's brother and SIL in May of 05 without the kids. They couldn't believe we actually went without them. Then we had our first cruise in Oct of 05 and again, totally floored that we would vacation without them. :rotfl2: I don't think they'll let us get away with that again.

Andy, I wanted to wait until you got back from your trip. We are putting together a cd for Kristin and Jesse of all their favs. We thought it would be a good idea to have a few songs that remind the parents of the kids when they were little and then a little older too.

My picks for Kristin are:
Baby: Mocking Bird (Peter, Paul and Mary)
Teen: True Colors (Cyndi Lauper or Phil Collins)
Adult: Stealing Cinderella (Chuck Wicks)

You have to listen to Stealing Cinderella. Be sure you have your box of Kleenex close by though.

Welcome home Andy! Glad you had a safe return home

You're going to have to change that countdown of yours now!

I had already removed it before I saw your post Cass.........;)

No, Hazel and I went to Florida in Jan. '05 and Lina stayed here in NJ with my mom. That trip was for 8 days(4 days in Florida and 4 days on a cruise).

I'll have to look that song up, but not until Lina is home safe and sound.....;)

Hey Andy, I see you're back. Glad you made it home safe.

Hope you had some time to relax on your vacation.

Hoping for some storms here tonight. They're building to the West. Looks like Janice and Mark should have some right now. Those will go to the north of here, but there is a nice cell building in IA that hopefully will roll through over night if it doesn't die out.

We are bad need of rain up here.

These were four pics that I took with my camera phone. The first pic was for Jeff, since he said he like eating at Steak and Shake and this is where we went to lunch with my mom and Walt after we arrived in Florida.

Pics #2 and #3 were as we were approaching our home in Lake County, Florida. When I first saw this, I thought it was just a big puffy cloud, boy was I surprised the closer we got to our vacation home.

Pic #4 was taken this morning at Walt's house, this is his little friend climbing on the outside of the window screen.

So I am rethinking going to Vegas in October, I really don't want to be without my princess for 5 days so I am thinking we should drive down the west coast all the way to San Diego (Rob's head office is there). We could do DL and DCA, San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, some beach time etc.

She's not used to being in a car for more than an hour or so, so it might be a little stressful but we will make sure we stop a lot.

So, thinking back on road trips when you had 2 year olds....

Is this a bad idea???

Any tips from you pros out there???
