10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with BOB) - Thread #7

I have added a list of Dis Tag participants to the Dis Tag page. I hope that's ok.

I took the list from the Yahoo site, so if your name is not up there and you DO want to participate, please let me know. Also, the first entry has no Dis name listed, only names that I don't recognize so maybe we can get that person (I am assuming that they are friends of a Diser) to post at least once, so we can add a DIS name to the list :thumbsup2

Is there anything else missing from the Bober site??? Sometimes I don;t see the bigger picture and get lost in the details. If there is something that needs to be added, please let me know :goodvibes

If you don't know what Dis Tag is, you read about it here http://www.cassworld.ca/bob-distag.htm

Cass darling ... would you go ahead and add me to the DIStag list? Thanks so much and I'll be sure to add my name to the other list later. Since I have this cool extender now I feel like we need to play tag to get the most use out of it. ;)

Also, if you haven't got the link to the Who's Going Page (pretty sure I have sent it to everyone though) please PM me or email me and I will PM it to you.
We DO NOT post this link anywhere on the thread.

And if you want to be added, please send me your pic and/or info.

I DO NOT automatically add ANYONE! I only post what YOU send me. So you can send me as little or as much info you choose.

Don't forget Bobers, sometimes you have to hit refresh on the page to see the new info added :goodvibes

This has saved me from many a frustrating moment!!! :badpc: (what do you mean it's not there??? I just uploaded it!!!!!!)

The temps are at 65 degrees and the humidity is like 90% ... blargh! :scared:

Woke up at 5am this morning to peaceful quietness, no frogs croaking at Walt’s house, LOL!!!

Since I was the only one awake I took advantage of it and got myself ready for the day. By the time I finished shaving and had my shower, my mom already had Walt go out in the backyard and pick some oranges off the tree so she could make us fresh squeezed orange juice to go along with our breakfast. When Hazel and I arrived on Wednesday, my mom had a larger jar of fresh squeezed orange juice ready for us to take to the trailer. Walt had also picked a few grapefruits for us to take to the trailer also.

At 8:30, Hazel and I loaded our bags in the car and headed for the airport. An hour and 15 minutes later we were dropping off our rental car and headed to the terminal to check in for our flight. Since the check in line was so long inside the airport, I found a red cap and had him check us in and take our bag. We only had one bag to check in, for me it was worth tipping this young man to avoid standing in the long check in line.

For the first time in a while, Hazel and I both passed through the security check point without either one of us being pulled aside. Since we still had two hours before our flight was scheduled to depart, we went and had a snack to hold us over until we arrive home later this afternoon.

We started boarding our plane at 12:20 and were in the air at 12:50, only five minutes behind our scheduled departure time of 12:45. As I type this, we are currently cruising at 39,000 feet and just passed over Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our scheduled arrival time in Philadelphia is 3:20 and we just found out it is sunny and 72* in the Philadelphia area.

Once we arrive home, Hazel and I will go get some supper, then we will wait until it is time to pick Lina up at the high school, her flight from Chicago is due in around 7:30pm at Newark, NJ airport. The buses carrying the choir and band are due back at the high school at 10:15 tonight.

Even dealing with the brush fires, loss of electric and phone service, it has still been a nice 5 days reprieve from work Now, it’s time to start saving up for the next trip!!!

Arrived home a few minutes ago(4:30pm) now it’s back to reality.

I just spotted Lina's flight is over Ohio with flight tracker. The flights were changed around a bit and Lina was put on the first flight coming back to NJ, she will still have to wait at the airport until the second flight arrives about 90 minutes after the first flight. Hazel and I are heading out to get some dinner, will be back on later, bye for now...........:wave2:

Oooohhh... spa treatments like the exotic Rasul or as we like to call it: The Naughty Mud Room! I know some people don't like it because the steam room can get pretty hot, but that's when you need to use your imagination ... :rolleyes1

Cabana massage on Castaway Cay ... we had the last appointment of the day and it was wonderful. By the time we were finished it seemed like we were the last people left on the island.

Spend some evenings in Sessions ... it's at the rear of the entertainment district and it seems like very few people hang out there. They have live music in the evening (usually jazz) and the bartenders will usually give patrons a plate of fruit and cheese to accompany their drinks.

Tell them to look into adding the Romantic Escape at Sea package - it will include a romantic turndown one night and a full service breakfast in bed along with some other goodies. The package has changed a bit since Jay and I did it in 2004, but for a honeymoon couple I think it might be worth considering.

Late night strolls around deck 9 and 10 are lovely as are late night visits to the hottub with a bottle of wine or bubbly!

Thanks! I will share. One more question. They are interested in going swimming alone (for religious reasons they don't wear suits in front of anyone). Are there any very private spots on Castaway Cay or at any of the other Eastern ports of call?

Cass,

I sent you an email with a picture of Jaryd and I to add to the list.

Thanks!

yep, i was pretty sure that was her plane so we waved to her as she flew past.:rotfl2: i dont think she waved back though.

welcome back andy

I've got a lot of catching up to do.............:lmao:

Lina's flight landed a little bit ago, the second flight is due in at 7:10, so we are hoping the buses get back to the school before 10 tonight. The band members have to be back at the school around 8:30 tomorrow morning to march in the annual Memorial Day Parade, I'm so happy the choir isn't part of the parade, there is no way Lina would get out of bed early enough tomorrow morning for that........:lmao:

The parade will be marching right past our house though, Hazel and I usually take our lawn chairs out front and watch the parade pass by.

Thanks for all the "Welcome Home" wishes........;) :thumbsup2 ;)

Welcome home Andy! Glad you had a safe return home

You're going to have to change that countdown of yours now!

Hey Andy !

I hear you made it to Florida ok. Where are our pictures???:goodvibes

Never took my camera out of the bag, shocking I know, I only took a few pics with my camera phone and I still need to get them into my photobucket account.
