So I just got off the phone with Midwest, looking to move our FF mile tickets to a different date, something they use to let you do for free up to a year in advance, and was told it is $50 now per ticket.
Guess I won't be looking at switching from MW to AirTran for the outbound flight to CA for the Repo cruise.
AT is only about $120 per ticket. I used 15,000 miles for each one way to get there. If I add $50, that's $170. Still a good deal, but now I'd be over the 1% floor I try to get over when using FF miles.
MW was $241 when we booked and is now around $420. If it wasn't such a big trip, I would have waited to see what AT had. Plus, I don't recall if AT was flying non-stop to LA from MKE at that time. If not, MW was the ONLY carrier that did.
Oh well, I at least checked.
