Oh Jeffy--Lina and I wound up ordering from one of our local pizza shops tonight, she got a Turkey Club sandwich and I had Lasagna. Then we watched The Flintstones, the movie, not the cartoon.......:rotfl2: We were looking through On Demand for something we could both agree on, and The Flintstones won out.

This OLD and very TIRED body has about had it for today, so I'm going to sign off for the night. Once Hazel calls to say goodnight, I'm turning off the lights, and hitting the sack.

So, I shall see all you fine folks in the morning...........:wave2:

Nancy, I hope everything turned out real nice today, can't wait to see some piccies of the wedding.......;)

I was thinking the locals might tend to venture there because of not having to work the next day. In other words they wouldn't mind the late night so much.

And I love thin crust pizza, but my family doesn't, so we very seldom get it....poor me.:rotfl:

I think the locals are usually the big draw for Halloween night and you're right about it being on a weekend.

Sorry your family isn't into the thin crust. That's one thing you can't get half-and-half on. You can always come eat pizza with Andy and I.

In Monterey, they started the first week of August. They sort of had a modified year round program. The got a 2 week break after each quarter. So it was 2 weeks off in early October, late December, and I think late March. They finished up around 2nd week of June and had off until early August. The October break is great for vacationing, but Rob was in school and they didn't break at that time. I really did like that school schedule though....the kids and teachers did, too!

I'd love to have a schedule like that. Summer camp will cost me $200 a week for 12-14 weeks.

Plus, like you said, easy to plan vacations.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say howdy before we leave for Vegas tomorrow morning! I hope everyone has a great week! :grouphug:

Nancy - hope everything went perfectly today for Tony and Stacy!

Paige - congrats to Emily!!

I'm sure I'm missing other important things so here's another :grouphug: just to be safe!

And ... if you're looking for anything to read in my absence just click on the blog link in my signature. I just posted a review of the fancy schmancy dinner we had with my family last weekend. :thumbsup2

Until next week ... try to be good! ;)

Bendy :goodvibes

Hmm dunno?
We went to MNSSHP twice in 2005, the second time being Halloween Night and it didn't seem any busier than the week before. It was more festive but didn't seem like there were more people. But I remember getting my tickets for Halloween sometime in July or August.

Even at 25,000 it would still feel dead. Especially when the park on a normal day is twice as much as that.

Plus, most people are doing the festivities and not the rides.

Anytime there is a party when we're down there, regardless of the theme, we will get tickets. Can't beat the walk-on rides.

We're in a big uproar over next year's calendar. The other middle school in the county voted for one option and we voted for another. Our school secretary called each and every board member with her opinion! They were supposed to pass an option Thurs and since we weren't in school on Fri I haven't heard what passes. The option our school wanted had two weeks at Christmas since it falls on a Thursday this year. Nobody wanted to come back to school on Fri the 2nd.

I know we will be closed through Sunday the 4th, but would love to have off on the 22nd and 23rd.

If that is the case, we may be able to head to FL before Xmas and see Karen, Neil and Ellis since after Xmas is so darn expensive.

Suz says we'll be in on those days though. But if Xmas was on a Wednesday, we'd probably have the whole 2 weeks off.

I'm really shocked we don't have next year's schedule yet. They've had it out earlier than this all the other years.

Night Andy. Get some good sleep. You got a special day ahead of you tomorrow.

So we're sitting at dinner and I said to Suz, "you know, the dinner is done and the dancing probably has started, should we crash the wedding?"

Then I said, better yet, maybe we should go T-P Nancy and Chuck's house. :lmao:

If we were out with the other DISers from the area, we'd be so doing that right now. :rotfl2:

Well, since no one else is here to talk, I'll go see what Suz is doing downstairs. Maybe watch some TV or a movie.

I'll check back later and see if anyone is on. If not, talk to y'all tomorrow.

Now this time I didn't post without reading. You said you had Lasagna after I asked you. :snooty:

Yeah, I was typing as your were posting your message. I nearly cracked up when I read your question.........:lmao:

I also think the Lasagna did me in last night, that's why I went to bed so early. I was asleep before 10:30, but wide awake at 4:30 this morning. I see a NAP in my future later today.........;)

When I came out into the livingroom this morning, I saw my laptop open and a beautiful homemade birthday card from Angelina. When I opened the card and read what she wrote inside, it moved me to tears. She might be a ST, but she is my ST and I love her with every breath in my body!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

About 18 months before we adopted Angelina, we were in the process of adopting another baby girl(Barbara Jean--BJ). We went through the last 4 months of the mother's pregnancy and was at the hospital before the mother even arrived there to give birth. When BJ was born, we were told she had a 50/50 chance of survival. BJ was rushed to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, and we followed close behind. To make a long story short, BJ was born with a form of dwarfism and needed to have surgery to expand her chest cavitity. The surgery went well, but BJ developed a staph infection and passed away a few weeks later. I have a picture of me, holding my sweet baby girl, on the inside cover of my Bible. This pic was taken the night before she passed away. :sad1:

The birth mother signed over all rights to Hazel and I shortly after BJ was born, we named her Barbara Jean, after Hazel's sister Barbara, and my sister Vicki's middle name is Jean. We buried BJ next to our first daughter, and her sister, Kristen Marie.

Rest in Peace my sweet baby girls

Kristen Marie 4/19/77

Barbara Jean 2/26/89--5/17/89

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, I just can't type anymore right now, I can't see my keyboard.
