The daycare DS goes to now (which I love and was a godsend when he was 1-3 especially) does have a summer/before/after school program, but I am also looking at our YMCA. DS is so active, and it looks like they do a lot of sports, swimming, field trips, etc. I picked up a brochure for the Y program this year (just to see, he wouldn't go until next summer) and the cost isn't horrible. $90 per week plus field trips (which range from $6-$20 per week, only 1 week is $20).

All I know is come September, we'll be able to breathe a bit easier....

Our township has a six week summer rec program that runs from 8am 'til 3pm and is free for township residents. Many parents use it as a free summer babysitting service. Angelina only went for a few of the classes they offered. They also do field trips every Wednesday, Hazel and I went on a couple of them with Angelina.

Been there, done that................growing up as 1 of 5 kids, we only went on one vacation and that was to the Jersey shore for one week. Angelina doesn't know how good she's got it!!! ;)

Angelina is like our DS. I don't think he knows how good he's got it.

I'd say we shouldn't go so often, but that just means I don't get to go either.

Well..that's me done for today. It's been really busy at work...so won't be arond until tomorrow evening.

Night all

Night Heather.

Although it is only about 3:20 p.m. here and the sun is kinda out.

We use to have something like that when I was a kid. It was called something like "outdoor playground". Kids would just go to the school playground and they'd have a bunch of activities with counselors there.

My brother works for the State. Any unused vacation time they get to use to buy their health insurance in retirement.

My health insurance will be paid for the rest of my life by the township, as long as I don't retire before the age of 55. It will also be paid if I should have to go out before the age of 55 on disability since I have my needed years in with the township.

Hey, on our noon news I saw a segment about a playground for "Seniors" in the UK, Karen, do you know anything about that??? ;)

I finally caught up to myself, now I need to take a break so I can shower and shave before our meeting this evening............;)

The year was 1973.
