Wow, this is post #5 in a row. Did everyone leave me?

Nah, just trying to grab some lunch and THAW out. The windchill is still briskly cold at 9* above zero. I was reading many curb meters this morning, let me tell you, the ground is very :cold: Some of the lids were froze shut and I had to bang on the lids to get them open........

After 31 years in 2010 of doing this job, I deserve to be able to retire......;) ;) ;)

Thanks for the link, Jen! My MIL actually has one from a wedding she was in decades ago and offered to let me borrow it for the cruise, but I'd be terrified that something would happen to it. I'm just going to pick one up before the cruise - they had some cool ones at Arrabis Bros. in Epcot that were only about $45.

O.K. Andy, we'll let you retire.

Hope you warm up a bit before going back out. It isn't too bad here today. I haven't watched the weather in a while, so I have no idea what it is suppose to be or if anything is coming.

That would be so fun!

To be honest, I'd love to do the whole long gown, gloves, tiara look for formal night, but I'd be too chicken to go it alone...princess:

Gee thanks Jeff, that's very nice of you...........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We have sn*w arriving here tomorrow evening, but supposed to be 58* this coming Monday!!! I'm looking forward to Monday...........:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I always "glam" it up on formal night (semi-formal, too). I don't usually do the gloves but the last two cruises I wore a long gown and went to the spa and had my hair styled. I even asked Jason to wear a tux. It was fun and we got some great pictures.

If we hit 58* we would have massive flooding right now. There is so much snow and ice, it would have nowhere to run.

Although, I'd welcome temps like that.

March is here soon. We should start warming up.

Suz went to the spa before formal night on our first cruise.

DS asked her what she did to her hair? Guess that was $45 wasted. :rotfl2:

Actually she looked really good. I'll have to see if I can scan a picture from that night.

Yeah, March is going to be coming in like a lion around here, sure hope it goes out like a lamb...........

I think I might do a longer, more formal gown this time around. I had a very pretty dress for last time, but I think I want to do a gown. I may not get Pete in a tux though, will have to settle for the black suit. The photo we had taken for formal night was really nice....

Well, it's time to get back out into the frozen tundra, I still have some more curb meters to read this afternoon, see y'all later..............:wave2:

Good for her! I'd love to see the picture. I love to have my hair done on the cruise because it's not something I'd ever have done in the "real" world. It just makes us ladies feel a little more special. :goodvibes

Go for it! If enough cruisers want to glam it up a bit we can always try to get everyone together for a picture in between dinner seatings.

That's how she was. It is something that she doesn't normally do and if you did have it done before cruising, you'd never get it the same that night. I think her appt was at 4:00 or 4:30 that night. Something you ladies may want to keep in mind when making spa appointments. :thumbsup2

Talking about the spa facilities, did anyone use them on the last cruise. We had a look round them and they looked fantastic but didnt have the time to book any treatments. Would love any recommendation from anyone who has used them.:woohoo:

Now THAT is a picture :goodvibes And my kind of weather too! :thumbsup2

Hi! My name is Brenda, and my husband Jason and I are DINKs. We're also Nerds, Dorks, Geeks, Freaks, Gluttons, and Drunkards ... I'm sure I've left a few out ...
Don't forget gourmand :rotfl: Images of you and Jason with an extra 50 lbs come to mind, lazing about in togas feeding grapes to each other :lmao: :rotfl2:

You forgot to insert Cass' favorite smiley when talking about being a jester - :joker:

As soon as I read Chris' post, somehow I just KNEW that either you or Andy would be posting that little freaky thing

I had Lasik surgery and still wear glasses! Where does that leave me??:lmao:

Rob did that too. I saved for a year to afford lasik for his birthday and the procedure didn't go as well as expected and now he still wears glasses and his night vision is really bad :sad2:

Hmmm, maybe we should get a custom made tiara with "BOB" in the middle :lmao:

That would be so fun!

There was a DISer who did this, everyone from the thread was supposed to do it too but I think she was the only one that actually went through with it :scared1:

Nancy, did you ever find that military term you were looking for?? Curiosity killed the cass :cat:
