Just in time for Mom's Day.

WHY GOD MADE MOMS :confused3
Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my Mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of ?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the
world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use
string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's moms like me.

What kind of little girl was your mom?
1. My Mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on
beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to
chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?
1 . My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my Mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that Mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof
ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess Mom is, but only because s he has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms & dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller & stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause
that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's..
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of
plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of
that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it

and not me.
3.. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of
her head.

Rach heard me laughing from the other room when I was reading this in the email last night :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She's BAAAACK! I missed you guys!

We got in a couple of hours ago and are winding down before bed. I might try to read back a few pages but I know I won't catch it all.

First, I am so glad my next cruise is on DCL! It was a wonderful trip esp. since it was free, but DCL is more for me! Of course, it may have helped if the weather at sea had been warmer. These are just a few impressions and just note that my only other cruise to compare was DCL in 2003.

Dislikes:
1. Being approached directly 15+ a day if I wanted a drink.
2. Being one of the youngest couples on the trip.
3. Having time to read a book during the trip because of a lack of activities.
4. No Disney movies and characters.
5. The same dining room every night.
6. The ship was not as stable on the sea as the Magic--possibly the weather and not the ship.
7. Ship not as ship-shape as DCL. For example, the putt-putt course was stained, uneven, just well-used.

Likes:
1. I had a wonderful room with veranda and was the first luggage group off the boat after clearance. (The company who booked us really did a nice package for us.)
2. Wonderful food, similar to DCL.
3. Having time to read a book during the days at sea because of a lack of activities.
4. Bermuda was beautiful and the weather although a little cool was perfect for touring and tanning if not swimming.
5. Johnny Rockets diner with hamburgers, shakes, and jukebox. Very fun!
6. Leaving a port while watching the NYC skyline and Lady Liberty!
7. Being "buzzed" by an NYPD helicopter while leaving dock.

General observations (I don't mean to offend anyone.)
1. We left from NJ and probably 2/3 of the passengers were from NJ.
2. I have never seen so many vacationers in one space with wheelchairs, canes, oxygen tanks, braces, and other disabilities. It was wonderful that the ship was so accessible etc., but I had never seen so many in a vacation spot.
3. I felt like some people were on the ship in order to have a designated driver rather that a fun-filled, sightseeing vacation.

I'll try to write more in other posts, but this is more than enough to get started!

Welcome back Tanya!! Glad you had a good time :thumbsup2 Can't waitr to see pictures!

I'm off for now. Al just called, he took Belle to get her nails trimmed and at the farm that he takes her there was a colt born about 1/2 an hour ago. He's coming home to get Rach and I to go see it and then I need to come home and finish making Rach's birthday cake.

Mornin Jen

Kristin took the bull by the horns and asked Stacy to be her maid of honor instead of Jesse's sister. :yay: Kristin is happy and Stacy is absolutely thrilled! I'm so happy that Kristin didn't buckle under the pressure.

We let Jesse's folks pick the food for the reception too. There can be no complaints now.

As for "getting a clue"????... We're not quite there yet.:sad2:

Good for Kristin!!! :cheer2:

Hi Melody and Joanne  I'm glad to see I'm not the only up this early on a Saturday. Although, I've been up since 4:30 watching child birth on the Discovery Channel. :scared1:

What on Earth are you doing up at 4:30???? :confused3 I have to be dragged out of bed when I hear Kira around 8AM!!!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the birthday wishes for my lovey - he also says thanks for thinking of him! :grouphug:

I'm taking him to P F Chang's China Bistro for lunch ... this is the outer edge of weird and scary for me because I don't care for Aisan cuisine. But it's his day and I know that he'll really enjoy it. :thumbsup2 Besides, a dear internet friend told me that they make a mean key lime pie martini there - that should help make the food more appealing to me!

Happy Mother's Day to all you fabulous moms out there! :flower3:

And Happy Birthday Rachel!!! :cheer2: :wizard:  :dance3:

D'OH! I didn't know it was Shelley's birthday too! :headache:

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY

I'd love to sit and chat with y'all but just got a call from Suz' best friend, her husband's father can't use their tickets to the Brewers game today so DS and I are joining her Husband and their son, 8 months younger than our DS, for the game.

Gotta get a lot done before then. Game starts at 2:45. .

Have fun - Ellis is jealous!

I'm sitting here listening to Stacy & Tony's wedding CD. Just heard the song "I Loved Her First" by Heartland http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myO2e5Td3bg. It's the first time I ever heard the song, well the tears started flowing down my cheeks.

I am going to be a total wreck the day I have to give Lina away......:sad1: :scared:
