Kristin took the bull by the horns and asked Stacy to be her maid of honor instead of Jesse's sister. Kristin is happy and Stacy is absolutely thrilled! I'm so happy that Kristin didn't buckle under the pressure.

We let Jesse's folks pick the food for the reception too. There can be no complaints now.

As for "getting a clue"????... We're not quite there yet.

Nancy, was Jesse's sister EXPECTING to be asked?
Are Jesse's parents helping out with any costs?

We say this when people ask why we always take DS with us on all of our vacations. Hello, we work full time and he's in school. When else will we have 5-8 days (sometimes more) of just the 3 of us? It is great not having to worry about wok and just have fun with him.

I will never regret any time or money I spend going on vacation with him. Those days will be gone soon enough.

Wow, people really ask why you take your child with you on vacation?

Oh, and in response to this...

I am a single parent and very much in debt (even though my credit score is excellent), and although I've never charged a vacation... have always used tax returns or some other way of financing our trips instead of paying down debt...
I will never regret that I did this either.
Vacations with my son are memories that we've made that will last him a lifetime!

Funny, how we think alike sometimes Jeff, it's almost scary

I hate hearing too much noise too early on weekend mornings.
It ruins that beautiful peaceful time when I can only hear the birds chirping
and pretend that my backyard has no neighbors only wilderness.

and they may not say it now, but they really appreciate it.
our ds told us just last summer how lucky he was to be able to go to wdw every year.(he has NO idea all the ot i used to put in just to pay for that 2 week trip every summer.)but it was worth it.

a few of those years when ds was a teen, we really had to keep an eye on him. there was a girl who was throwing herself at him the whole trip.
she kept calling him for years after that trip.

Yes, Kristin is "Co" Maid of Honor for Jesse's sis. She was expecting to have the favor returned to her. His sister will be moving to AZ on June 1st and won't be around until the day before the wedding.


No, his parents are not helping out with any costs (so far).
