10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) -Thread #6

Yeah, just like Melody said, it's the potty training thing that will be the issue. I don't know if Kira will be ready by then. I have a niece who is about to turn 3 and she is totally not ready. I also know a couple of just turned 3-year olds and they just started with their potty training but are nowhere near completely trained, which is what you have to be to go into the kids clubs.

More than likely she will be with us, because I really want to take her to WDW but I'm not so sure how easy it will be on the cruise. My biggest thing is that I want late dining but it's too late for her, so we will need her to be taken care of during our meals. I am just afraid she will not be potty trained and will not like Flounders at that age.

Amelia was 2 years 10 months when she caught on. We dangled preschool in front of her and it worked. Some kids, though, as you've said just aren't ready! I'm going to try hard to get Ernie potty trained before the cruise just so he can go in the pools. I know you're concerned with Flounders for her and her being bored, but Amelia was a bit over 2 and a half and still thrilled with Flounders. BUT, too, we decided that we will try to not have the kids with us at dinners most nights...we will probably bring them for one or two but other than that we're going to count on Flounders and Oceaneer's. I'd like to have a peaceful dinner...is that bad??!!

Took a while to read all 15 pages. I cheated last night and took the boys and the girlfriends out to dinner. We did mexican. I had a Taco Salad so i was trying to be good. But the shell was still warm and wonderful......

Amelia was 2 years 10 months when she caught on. We dangled preschool in front of her and it worked. Some kids, though, as you've said just aren't ready! Not bad at all!

DS was 4 1/2 on our last cruise, and only ate 3 dinners with us - first night, last night, and Pirate night. The other times he ate with the clubs. It was really nice having that "grownup" time...

YEAY!

This means I'm going to AZ for Christmas, with a side stop for 2 days in Disneyland!!!!!!

YEAY!

This means I'm going to AZ for Christmas, with a side stop for 2 days in Disneyland!!!!!!

Well, after 30 minutes and one transfer.....I bought them! I will have to sell a kidney but I think my kids will really love it. I'll let you all know if it was worth the big bucks when we get back from the trip.

We'll just be missing you guys terribly when we're not there in December.
