My friend did that and spent about $300. It's not for everyone though. Most girls think about their wedding day from the time they find out what it is :goodvibes And wearing a dress that was worn many times before by many other brides may not be very appealing to some brides. Brides like to feel special and unique and a rented dress doesn't make them feel either.

Correctomundo Cass. Kristin has her eye on one that costs $1250.00.:scared1: It sure was beautiful though. It made her mamma cry. :sad1:

Here's how clueless I am:
I saw Nancy's post and was like what is she talking about ... who left artificial intelligence where???
And then I saw the rest of the posts about American Idol ... :rotfl2: :lmao:
Good night! :goodvibes

Artificial Intelligence = Paula Abdul. :goodvibes

When's the last time you even looked at your dress?
Is it something you just put away in a closet somewhere?

:sad2: :sad2:

Sorry, I think of a wedding as a waste of money. All that cash for less than 12 hours? A down payment on a house would be nice and will last longer.

You're right, but try to tell your little princess that. princess:

As for the other people wearing the dress, what about the groom's tux? No one cares about that, do they?

Nope. :rotfl2:

Good morning Thread #6. I didn't think I would ever catch up.:scared1:

Cheryl, and Nancy what time will you all be getting here today? Do I need to leave a key under the mat so you all can let yourself in? :rotfl: (I wish)

Leave the key for us??? Wait, wait...we're coming with you. :beach:

TRIVIA QUESTION

This one is about Castaway Cay:

On the First Aid navigational sign near Scuttle Cove, what is on the finger of the pointing hand?

A "brussel sprout" ? (Karen will get this one.) :rotfl2:

You guys did still want me to post some, correct?

Karen, don't cheat.:lmao: :lmao:

Absolutely! :thumbsup2

Hey, I'm almost at 9,000!!! Shouldn't I be embarassed??!! LOL

Absolutely not. :yay: Have you seen some of our post counts? Most of them were racked up on KK1 or BOB.:rotfl:

I'm a chatty gal!

We love chatty gals Melody. :thumbsup2

Happy Thursday everyone. And Happy May Day! One of the elementary schools usually drops off a May Basket at our house today. The Kindergarteners make them out of construction paper and they walk around the neighborhood and tie them to our front door handles.

Good morning Andy

Good morning Melody :wave:and congrats on 9000.:cheer2:

Lori, Tanya, Heather, Chris...enjoy your vacations. We'll expect lots of pics when you return.

Joanne, was that you holding the Miami Vice's?

Karen: Congrats on 5000! You've pulled waaaay ahead of me.

It's official. I'm the first Thread Killer.:sad1:

Nahhh, you're not a thread killer. I'm sure if I found a way to post while driving to work I would! LOL

Yeah, and if I had Lina's phone, I could post as I walk around reading meters.............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:    :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning/afternoon everyone!

Wow...10 pages to catch up on! You've been busy!

Last night we had parent/teacher conference at the daycare (yes, I'm serious!). It went well, and DS is doing just fine :goodvibes

I agree Cass. Jason should have gone a while ago. I'm hoping for David Cook to win it all now.

P.S. I think Kristin found her dress tonight. Now she just has to find a new job to pay for it. :scared1:

You ladies need to look into renting the dress. Suz did that and saved tons of $.

It is something you'll never wear again in your life. Just seems like a lot of money to spend on a one-time outfit.

Oh yeah, that's right...sorry....15 days!!! ;) Hardship :sad2:  :rotfl2:

Nancy - could Kristin describe/show the dress to a dressmaker and have it made for less? A friend of mine had her gown made and it was a lot less than buying one.

Jeff - You may wear the dress for one day and not look at it again, but the photos are another story! So, investing in the dress is not as silly as it seems - the photos will be seen throughout the ages....

I didn't spend a huge amount of $$$ on my dress, I think about $400 for the dress and $65 for the veil. Of course, they had to practically re-make the dress for me since I am so short! I think alterations were anouther $125.
For that reason also, renting wouldn't be an option for me - you can't chop 12 inches off a rented gown!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think we might still do MNSSHP, since we've never done it before AND DS has never been to WDW before. It is pretty pricy though.

I think I'm talking to myself...better go do some work now.

Before I go....safe and happy travels to all vacationing this week!!!!!

I leave you people for 2 days and you start a new thread on me. Some people! :snooty: Hope I didn't miss anything big.

Hi Shelley!

I don't think you missed anything major....but I've not been able to keep up the last few days either-super busy at work!

Jeff - sorry about your December trip falling through.I know you were looking forward to it.

(See, we DO care about you :goodvibes )

I can try....

Copy the "direct link" to the photo from photobucket, then come back to your post.

Click on the button that looks like a mountain (insert image) and clear out the http// that's in there, then paste your link.

Hope that helps...I'm not too computer savvy myself....

No that was my sister in law. We are trying to talk them into this also. They are from Quebec and were really a lot of fun.
