$48 is cheap. The prices aren't going down any time soon. Didn't you have a PT cruiser last time? That'll cost at least $50 I think. It costs me about $100 to tank up my suburban. If you drive a small car, $48 may be a little high.

I agree with Sistah P. $48.00 is "cheap" (yikes, that was hard to type).:sad2:

Sistah P, when is WDW again for you? We have a chance to rent my friends condo in Daytona Beach for the week of June 15th for only $50.00/night for four people. We're still hemming and hawing about it though.

We have a Pontiac Vibe and it cost $42.00 last week to fill up our car and that was at $3.44 a gallon, the gas has gone up another 8-10 cents since last week, at least at the station we use. I know my mom paid $3.72 a gallon for gas the other day in Florida.

We are anywhere between $3.93 and $4.00 now. :scared1:

Gotta get out the door for work, will check in later........:wave2:

Thanks for posting all the pics everyone! Keep 'em coming!!!

Lori, even though we've all been to WDW, we still want to see lots of pics! It makes us feel like we're there.

Tanya, Bermuda is gorgeous. Let us see more!

Becky, do you have pics of the hotel? Pics of DL would be great too.

Now that I've barked out my orders, and probably offended some, I have to get ready for this busy day.....vet's appt, groceries to buy, band awards to attend, and getting my daughter's unform pants to the alterations shop--she gets her "blood stripe" today (just a red stripe down the side of her dress blue uniform because she is now a "corporal" in jrotc).....

Y'all have a great day.:thumbsup2

Karen, I'm glad you got your bike. I feel the same way that you do--Lori is our inspiration! I ran a whole 2 miles yesterday with out stopping....That is HUGE for me!:goodvibes

Whoa!!!! Just checked into flights for June 13th to Orlando. We could pay anywhere between $275.00 and $712.00 each depending on the time. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I wonder if it'll be cheaper to fly into Dayton instead.

12-25 July. Damn, I wish we were going to FL at the same time.:headache: No worries, if I can get Rob to retire there in 3 years, you can come and stay with us every time you want to visit the sunshine state (I think that's what they call it).:thumbsup2

The highest I saw around here was $3.62 yesterday afternoon.

It costs me about $100 to tank up at the gas station on base which is a few cents cheaper than out in town. Probably about the same as Costco gas. So it may cost me about $125 out in town. I don't know the current cost of a gallon exactly, but I will be heading out there today, so I will check.:headache:

Check Tampa as well.

Only 8 days now, we leave one week from tomorrow!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

8 days only, huh? May have to get this thread to slow down so I can pass you in the post count once you're gone. :rolleyes1

And then start the new one while you're gone and get a jump on you. ;)

Still dark here, the sun won't be up for another 50 minutes or so, I'm also hoing for a much better day..........:rolleyes1

It was 68* in the house when I got up, so I had to turn the thermostat up since Lina wanted to get her shower first thing this morning. She's in the shower now at 5:10am......

68* is cold?

That is the normal temp in the house here. I'm sweating if it gets to 70*.

Anyone online right now?

I am about to book carhire for xmas - I can either get fully inc insurance or gold insurance with Budget.

The only difference is additional drivers (which we wont use anyway) and a tank of petrol for $48.

Will it be best to pay the $48 and get a tank of petrol (intermediate car) or my other option is to not pay $48, take the car full and bring it back full.

Basically - would I get a tank of petrol for $48?:confused3

I know you all moan about the price of fuel over there, but $48 for a tank of petrol seems waaaay to cheap to me.:confused3

It costs Neil about $150 to fill up an intermediate car over here, so $48 seems real cheap:confused3

$48 sounds like a decent price, but make sure you're under a 1/4 tank when you take it back. Otherwise, it may not be such a good deal. What type of car are they saying. I could check the gas tank size for you.

I just filled up the Accord, a mid-sized car, and it was $55 yesterday.

Paige, either you're not filling it near empty or have cheap gas there, because our Bravada, which has a smaller tank than the Suburban, is pushing the $75-$80 mark. :scared1:

Yeah, I remember when our smaller car was getting up to $30 to fill. That one will cost me nearly $30 now if we were driving it.

Actually, we've gotta get that one fixed (catalytic converter needs repair and there's an issue with the front left tire). It will get 30+ mpg, so any repairs will be worth it.

I thought it was the "blue haired" state? :rotfl2:

All this talk of Car hire had me thinking, which company would be best to use when we get off after the REPO?,We need a car to get from the ship to the Swan and then onto the Airport....:rolleyes1

Not sure if Alamo has a spot at Port, but they have two location in WDW, one of which is at the Dolphin. The other is the car care center at which they'd drive you back to your hotel.

If you don't need the car, I would drop it off. Doesn't the Swan and Dolphin charge $10/day for parking?

Otherwise, look at Budget or Avis. We're using Avis and got a full-size for only $51 one-way. Haven't checked prices though in 2 months, so I probably should to see if they went down.
