Sorry ... had to step away to do some work. Sheeeesssh!!

BTW, Heather ... you had me laughing out loud here at my desk about me being the Food Porn Queen because I flash for ice cream!! :lmao: :lmao:

I also flash for artisan cheese, good port, and single malt whisky! ;)

Tell me about it. I go do a few minutes of work and Karen is let loose. Worse than a kid in a candy shop or a bull in a china shop. Not sure which of the 3 will do more damage. :rotfl:

This thread is only 5 1/2 hours old and already 150 posts.

People who left this morning with Thread 3 open will be in for an awakening tonight.

Good night Karen.

Better watch out if Andy and I get into a "back and forth" tonight.

Nope, ain't goin' there, not the way this thread has been going today.........:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See, and I'm not even going to try and fluff my way to the top of the post count, I'm going to be a good boy..............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hi everyone. I can see from reading back a bit that y'all are having lots of fun on the thread today....looks more like Mardi Gras in the French Quarter with all this naughty talk......:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ok, I'm off to take Tylenol. I drank red wine last night at book group and I have had a headache all day. The reds always give me headaches......well, maybe I should've had only one.:goodvibes

Hope y'all are doing well.

AFEG, where are ya these days?

Bendy I'm thinking of you right now. I'm watching Anthony Bourdain No Reservations-Ireland and enjoying my Jamesons. I love watching Tony. He is really great. Have you seen this one? I'm sure you have it's from 2007.

Now I need to make a run on Karen while she sleeps!! ;)

OK, now I'm asking for help from those parents of older teenage children, past or present. I have off until next Tuesday. If you remember correctly our Spring Break trip to Florida got shot down by a very stinky teenager that resides in our house, but I won't mention her name to protect her identity.

So, a few minutes ago, I ask this said teenager if she would like to go to http://www.willowvalley.com for a couple of days, going up tomorrow and coming home Thursday in time for a Sweet 16 Birthday Party this said teenager is going to. The reply I got was, "Ummmmmm no, I don't think so." We went to this resort a little over a year ago for two nights and had a very nice time. Pics from that trip: http://family.webshots.com/album/555456172peNYIe

A few questions to my fellow parents:

"At what age did you leave your teenager at home alone for the first time?"

"How long did you leave them at home alone?"

"Did you regret leaving your teenager at home alone?"

To be serious, I'm feeling trapped and I really need to get away, but I'm just not sure about leaving "the kid" alone for a couple of days. We really don't have anyone close by that I would trust with the said teenager, being "over protective" like we are.

I know Hazel and I will most likely stay home this week, but your advice could come in handy for a later trip. Oh yeah, my "said teenager" is 17yrs, 6mths old.

Andy my parents left me at home when I was 17 for a week. My brother had a soccor tournament and I had dance class so I couldn't miss it. It was fine since I was able to drive myself anywhere I needed to go and I was not a wild child. We also had plenty of neighbors to watch out for me.

Paige a little trick I learned was taking an antihisamine when I know I am going to have red wine. Usually Tylenol sinus. It seems to help.

Luckily, my said teenager is not a wild child either, but she doesn't have her driver's license. Her best friend Trish (age18) is coming back from the senior trip tomorrow night, but I don't know if her parents would let her come and spend two nights with my said teenager after being away for the past four nights.

We always counted on my mom before, but she is living in Florida now.
