Luckily, my said teenager is not a wild child either, but she doesn't have her driver's license. Her best friend Trish (age18) is coming back from the senior trip tomorrow night, but I don't know if her parents would let her come and spend two nights with my said teenager after being away for the past four nights.

We always counted on my mom before, but she is living in Florida now.

You could be really mean and make her go away with you! Tough love!

Yeah, but you don't know our kid, that would be two days of Living H-E-double hockey sticks....... :scared1:

Andy, I've left Sean for 2 nights alone when we went to the Steelers game in
PA last November.

He had his license so he could go out if he needed and to work, but he never really went anywhere but work.

The house didn't burn down, he only has 2 friends and only 1 came over to visit at all, he actually even fed the cats and cleaned their litter box (well, only once).

But it worked out fine.

He was just over 17 then, 17 and 3 months.

hey... its b.o.b.#4
and you guys were hoping you could hide from underdog.
nice try.

Thanks Rose.........;)

I am looking into another Holiday Inn that has an indoor pool and it is less than 15 minutes from our house. I feel as though I am in a rut and just want to escape for a couple of days before I go

Bendy I'm thinking of you right now. I'm watching Anthony Bourdain No Reservations-Ireland and enjoying my Jamesons. I love watching Tony. He is really great. Have you seen this one? I'm sure you have it's from 2007.

Oh yeah, we've seen this one before but it's worth watching again. I love No Reservations! And we just finished watching it here while we were eating dinner.

No booze today ... I have a double workout to get through tonight. :scared:

all right andy you asked for it....
cassie always went everywhere with us. but the summer after her junior year she didnt want to go to wdw with us so she stayed at her brothers house.
we lived out in the country and it got pretty dark out there at nite so we felt safer.(and she did too)

now our ds on the other hand...:rolleyes1
the summer he graduated HS he decided he didnt want to go to wdw so we left him home.(he was 18)
got back from florida and the first thing we noticed was our basketball hoop pole was bent.(he didnt know how) then a day or so later i was running the sweeper and it was smoking hot. took it apart and it was jam packed with
wood shavings from the guinea pigs cage. little by little over the next few days we pieced together that there was one HECK of a party at our house.
  a friend of his was drunk and had hit our bball pole with his truck.
apparently someone had tipped the gpig cage over and they tried to clean it up with the sweeper till it was jammed full and burning up the motor.:headache:
not to mention the pyramid of cans that was stacked in front of our fireplace.
needless to say we were not happy campers.
but thats the worst he ever did. he was always a good kid(still is)
seems funny now, but not then.:headache:

here's a pic cassie took and entered in her portfolio.
it's kind of dark and disturbing but i really like it.:thumbsup2
she took it in her basement of the photography studio.(thats her in the pic)
a little stressed eh?

7 pages, yes.

Rousing conversation, to be determined. :rotfl2:

Just remember the theme of this thread: "Stop the Madness" (thanks to Bendy for the title)

Ok, let's start a cruise-themed discussion here....

Does anyone think the Pirates in the Caribbean Party will be replaced with something else next drydock?

If so, what would you like to see?
