Anyone want to come shampoo my living room carpet. I definatly have spring cleaning bug. I cleaned all the blinds, the baseboards, and the cieling fan along with all the normal cleaning for the living room. Now I have no motivation to do the shampooing. Guess I will eat and then find something else to do.

Just seen this reply to karen questions so you have answered some of mine too. This looks fab.
What is the Tram?

Here are the pictures Andy posted of the tram yesterday. It is a cable car that goes to a high point above the bay that the ships come into.

I havent done any research yet on the islands we are going to, so couldyou tell me what is at Meghans Bay please. Also Trunk Bay is that the fabulous beach i have been pictures off, how far away is that please:confused3 .
Are these on St Thomas or St Maarten - see i dont even know that:rotfl:

Meghan's is on St. Thomas and Trunk is on St. John (it is about a 45-60 minute ferry ride from the dock where the Magic comes in, in St. Thomas).

Meghan's can be easily gotten to by taxi (in fact, if there are a ton of us doing it, we could just get our own taxi :thumbsup2 ). It is on the opposite side of the island from where the ship comes in. I get turned around, so I don't know if it is the south side or the north side.

The issue with Trunk is whether to take the DCL excursion or to go on your own. If you go on your own, you will have more time on the beach and it will cost a lot less. The drawback is if you can't get back due to sea conditions and the ferry (always a big fear of mine). If it is on a DCL excursion, they should (but not sure if that is guaranteed) wait for you to get back.

As for St. Maarten, there is a beach right where the ship comes in that is nice (can't remember the name, but I have pictures at home), Orient (on the French side - keep in mind if you go with kids), Maho (which looks like it doesn't exist much anymore) and Dawn (this might be the one we try this time). I believe Cass also mentioned another one near Maho as well.

I have NO idea what I'm going to want to do at St. Maarten and St. Thomas, because there are SO many options....beach, tram, regatta, tours, shopping...I have no idea how I'm going to choose!

:cheer2:
Yeay Karen!
I'm sorting through recipes right now - trying to plan next week's menus while on break. Healthy stuff!

What is Core WW? - I tried to ask you yesterday but my pc crashed:rolleyes:

Seven Mile and Meghan's are two totally different beaches and both really nice. I know Meghan's is in the top 10 beaches in the world. Not sure if Seven Mile is on the list. Usually Meghan's is like glass, but was somewhat rough/wavey when we went. I'd like to try it again. I think Suz may push to go to Trunk though because we haven't been there. With either Trunk or Meghan's, you should have time to do the Tram before getting back on the ship.

I don't have the ones from right on the beach at Meghan's Bay here at work (or on my photo bucket site). I'll try to post some later. But here are a couple from the top of St. Thomas looking down:

Yes, they do have a restaurant/snack bar there. You can also rent chairs for the day.

For what you want, you will be in heavan.

:cloud9:

What do people in 2 working parent families do during the off time? :confused3

Palm them off to relatives, pay ridiculous costs for childcare etc... some schools do a holiday club for a couple of weeks, the kids just play but nothing exciting...just babysitting on school site really.

There is all of that. You'll love it.

:thumbsup2 - any photos Heather?

It's not cruise related (unless we're going to Alaska) but here's a picture of Kristin and Jesse.

Got anything nice planned for the weekend Nancy?

The weather forecast here is awful - strong winds and rain:rolleyes:

At least Neil will be home on the evenings so we can go out for dinner.

Hows your Daddy and Spencer?

Karen,

The WW core plan is a program where you can eat as much as you need to feel satisfied from a select list of items, then you have 35 points a week to spend on non-core foods.

The core foods list includes most fruits and veggies, lean meats, poultry without skin, skim milk, etc. Basically all the really healthy stuff you're supposed to be eating in the first place! ;) Then, say you want a tuna sandwich - tuna is a core food, but the bread is not. So, you'd spend your points for the bread. Simple, yet complicated, and a lot more cooking is involved (no frozen pizza on the core plan!). So, for me, it ends up being quite a bit more work, but it's really healthy eating.

The workmen were all done with the basement on Monday, but I can't rebuild the shelving or put any of my stuff back into storage yet, which drives me a little nuts. I see this big pile of stuff in my family room down in the basement and I want to put it away, but I won't be able to until next week. Once the concrete is dry, I will be going through all my stuff in storage, sorting, getting rid of stuff I don't need or stuff that got water-damaged, and putting it all back.

Fancy a merlot? I have some chocolate cheesecake in the freezer too!

Keep the merlot, but I'll help you with that cheesecake!

Looks like the DIS is bored too. It's really moving S L O W !!!

Nothing big planned here. Easter egg hunt for the kids again, breakfast at our house, and Disney's Easter Parade on Sunday.

Spencer is out of the hospital and moved into an apartment with his mom. They'll be moving to Arizona in July.

My dad is hoping to make it to his 86th birthday on the 29th of this month. (He says that every year :lmao: ). He's doing ok..Not good, not fine...just ok.

Thanks so much for asking.

Thanks Jen - I remember it sort of from when I did WW. Bread etc would be my downfall - 35 points isnt much is it for goodies!

Do you have to paint the basement first? that will take even longer. It'll all be worth it in the end - just a pain right now with the mess.

The picture was taken earlier this winter when Jesse and Kristin went skiing up north somewhere. You don't believe that I carved it? How about Jesse or Kristin carving it? OK...not that either, huh? How about a big fat "I don't know". :goodvibes

She is so prettyprincess:

Where was that taken? who carved it? ... and dont try to pretend it was you either:rotfl2:
