Hiya Shelly...I took today off to get away from my desk...it's been a mad three weeks for me. I needed the break.

Hi Heather! I hear ya on needing a break! I have 8 days of vacation I have to use between now and June. We were going to go to Florida but with Woody taking the new job we can't go. So now I am trying to figure our what to use my time for. I will probably take a few long weekends and do stuff around the house. Not much of a vacation though!

Let's see, after Hazel is finished getting dressed we are heading off to drop off my laptop at the repair shop, then we have to run into BJ's to pick up a few things. Next, we have to stop at the cleaners to pick up Lina's dress for the party she will be going to tonight. We have to take Lina to the Beauty Salon/Spa at 4pm so she can get her make-up done for the party(this is free, as Lina had a coupon for one free make-up sitting!!!)I likey free!!! Then at 7pm we drop Lina off at the Sweet 16 Birthday Party she is attending. All those in attendance at the party are supposed to wear something black and white, and the birthday girl, from what I hear, is wearing a Hot Pink dress, so she stands out from all the others.

Hazel put Bar-B-Q ribs in the crock pot for dinner tonight, but I'm ready to dive into them now, they smell sooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooood!!!

As there's a sea crossing involved, we will do DCL, just in case we are late getting back, but with Megans Bay, I would do this on my own. DCL was well over priced.

We did Meghan's Bay on our own the first time we went. No problems at all going over there. I would like to try it again since it was rough the time we went.

Actually you can stand an egg at anytime of the year. Well at least my brother can do it. I can't do it even on the first day of spring or full moon or whenever.

We plan on going there too (well that is the thought right now).

We want to do Trunk Bay. Our problem is do we do it on our own or through DCL. I'm still having this thought in the back of my head that getting back is going to be an issue and to go through DCL. Yet, with DCL, the cost is higher and the time there is shorter. So then part of me says to go to Meghan's Bay, but we've done that already.

Decisions, decisions.

Do you have photos of Meghans Bay? - are those what you posted before?
I'm going off the thoguht of Trunk cos like you say Disneys trip isnt long enough and I'd panic and not relax if I was doing it on my own.

Was Maeghans Bay as nice (or nicer!) than seven mile beach? I could have stayed there forever

You come at Easter and it was soooooo crowded, yet you plan on Christmas week now? You are one crazy Aussie.

As for summer, the kids here are off about 12-13 weeks. They get less throughout the year. Typically only 1 week + 1 day at Easter and about a week and a half at Christmas. There are some long weekends then throughout the year.

I know Easter and Christmas are heaving but Ellis hasnt seen disney at christmas so we just gotta do it!

12 weeks at summer - good god! - I'd be insane if I had to occupy Ellis for that long. We dont have summer camps like you do, so it would be me trying every day to come up with something fun

We've had some days like that too. The past couple of weeks DS does not want to get dressed in the morning! Sigh....no advice, just

His daycare has a "pajama day" every once in a while, and I love those days! For some reason he'll get into clean jammies with NO arguments whatsoever!

I made it to the gym today

Feeling quite proud of myself! - exercised every day and been good on my food all week except for one meal. Not had too much wine either! (I know thats hard to believe! )

It's a good thing our schools are on Spring break this week - if they had to call another snow day they'd be having huge problems. Kids already have to make up 1 day at the end of the year and 2 Saturdays!
