Geez, what happened to the DIS. Dead for the longest time!

I think if I had an almost 3 year old, the verandah would make me VERY nervous. I'm sending you some pixiedust: to hope you get a window (she would love that!!)

Not really. Railings are high and covered in plexiglas, doors are almost impossible for an adult to open (if they don't know exactly how to do it) let alone a toddler. We went through the rules when we were on the Magic last. No one outside unless Mommy or Daddy are outside. Anyone who has anything but their buttocks on the furniture will be wishing the furniture was covering their buttocks. If you toss it over, it's gone forever, I will not be replacing it! Never had a problem.

I'm sure everyone has seen this but I'll post it anyway.

Cool Links Robin!

Just read that Patrick Swayze died :sad1:

He will be missed!

Hey everyone...

Just got back from picking up a prescription for Jay. There is nothing like walking around Walmart for 40 minutes trying to entertain myself. I looked at camera accessories, played a game of Guitar Hero 5, and wandered around a bit.

Still no word from DU for my parents.

Chris, once I payed the money they didn't email me back. (I kept waiting and... nothing. Weird!) But I went on the DCL website and saw that I was no longer Cat 9 #2606 but Cat 6 #GTY.

This morning it changed to my room number.

Probably me. I've been having internet outages all day. It's been a problem that I've been having for a while AT&T hasn't been able to figure out the problem! I bought my second new Router today because my problems seem to have worsened with the addition of the last one.

After Bob did his pole dance this is what happened next!:scared1::rotfl: Scott WITH Bob.

Great pictures Rose, Bob, Scott and Lori. Looks like everyone had a great time.

It's been dreadfully slow, even unavailable at times.

After having nothing but Internet outage after internet outage at my house today, I made everyone get off their computers and then swapped out our router with a new one. If this doesn't work I might be forced to go with a cable connection. (I don't want to do that because they'll want me to get cable tv and I really like my satellite.)

What's the first thing everyone wants to do once on the ship? We will head to topsiders for lunch then swimming for the kids and the first of many ice creams for me. Yummo!

Hopefully we will meet Robin and Mike at Parrot Cay and have lunch then go to the swimming pool for our gathering. Thats if Robin and Mike would like to eat at Parrot Cay. :confused3

Wow, the meals really don't thrill me that much. I guess my favorite food item is the fresh pineapple. mmmmmmm, love it!

And, of course, ice cream is one of my favs, but a strawberry smoothie tops the list. :woohoo:

the ice cream stand and the cookies in the Cove. Yum Oh yeh, the strawberry smoothies. Wow. I can feel the weight coming on already.

We were actually talking about hitting topsiders instead of parrot cay. I think it would be nice to sit outside and eat.

I know one thing. We're spending more time up on deck 10 this time and less time in Rockin Bar D. :rotfl2:

Okay I will enjoy Topsiders too. Good idea being outside. I just thought it was a tradition for you guys to eat at Parrot cay. Diane

I'll post the the recipe below (and send it via PM so it doesn't get lost in the messages!)

**This is a Pampered Chef recipe - but you can just subsitute the products listed below with what you have!***

Black Forest Trifle

Ingredients:
1 pkg (18-21 oz) brownie mix (plus ingredients to make cake-like brownies)
2 bars (1.55 ounces each) milk chocolate candy, divided (I used the 4.5 oz bar of Hershey special dark chocolate cuz I like dark choc)
3 cups cherry pie filling (I used 2 whole cans of it - extra cherries!)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cranberry-cherry juice (couldn't find this, so I used regular cranberry juice... not a super important ingredient..)
2 cups cold 2% milk
2 pkg (3.3 oz each) white chocolate instant pudding and pie filling
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions for cake-like brownies; spread batter over bottom of Large Bar Pan. Bake 18-20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Loosen brownie from sides of bar pan and invert onto flat side of Large Grooved Cutting Board. Cut brownie into 1-in. cubes; set aside. Chop 11/2 of the chocolate bars using Food Chopper. Reserve remaining chocolate for garnish.
Combine pie filling and almond extract in Small Batter Bowl; set aside 1/2 cup for garnish. Stir juice into batter bowl.
Pour milk into Classic Batter Bowl; add pudding mix and whisk until mixture begins to thicken. Fold in whipped topping.
To assemble trifle, place half of the brownie cubes into bottom of Trifle Bowl. Layer with half of the pie filling mixture. Sprinkle with half of the chopped chocolate; top with half of the pudding mixture. Repeat layer one time.
Make chocolate curls with reserved chocolate using Vegetable Peeler (see Cook's Tip). Garnish top of trifle with reserved pie filling mixture and chocolate curls. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
Yield: 16 servings

Cook’s Tips: To make chocolate curls, hold the Vegetable Peeler across the short side of the chocolate bar. Using even pressure, push the blade away from you to create curls.

This trifle can be assembled several hours before serving, or even the night before.

Oh my goodness. That sounds heavenly. I will have to get the ingredients and make it soon. Maybe I better wait for the holidays. I need to get some weight off before the cruise. Diane

Well, we got upgraded from our 12 GTY to a CAT 10. I'm happy with the room location and happy about the upgrade but not happy that we are in a connecting room :sad2:

I will be trying to get an upgrade at the port I guess :thumbsup2

M & R, watch out!!! ;)
you should, I hear you will be beside two loud snoring people and 2 teenagers that don't agree on anything ;) :lmao:

No, that would be horrible!!! I know my sweet baby girl and she has a lot of meltdowns and cries a lot. I don't wish any BOBer to be in that connecting cabin next to ours!!! :sad2:

I REALLY hope they have some paid upgrades available at the port :scared:

AHAhahaha just open your door and let her wander in.. she would love to go between the rooms!

I am a pushy, mouthy Canadian...I will win  :lmao:

with me there it's x 2 on that part..lol

Ok, from the looks of Bernie's text...she's in the connecting cabin to mine :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Poor Bernie  :lmao:

SUCKERS!!! LOL :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Yeah, I'm sure she would love that! ::yes:: Especially since it's you guys on the other side! :thumbsup2

Guess nobody will be getting those free windows anymore :rolleyes1

From the DCL site:

Changes Effective 2011:
For cruises sailing in 2011, Deluxe Inside Staterooms will be reclassified into 3 new categories: 10A, 10B, 10C. These categories will be located on Decks 1, 2, 5 or 7. Decks 1 and 2 offer convenient access to restaurants and nightclubs. Deck 7 is an upper deck with more commanding views.

I heard about this. They state that they are classifying the staterooms on the Dream like that and are wanting to be more consistant across the line. But it really is a way to squeeze a few extra $$$ out of people.

Good Morning everyone

What is your most favorite food item on the ship? Mine would be the steak in Palo's. Followed by watermelon and ice cream.

You really need to ask...:lmao:

Chicken Strips.:lmao:
