Which one of those two is the "character" Paige? ;)

Very undecided about the excursions.

On St Maarten I'd really like to go to Marigot on the French side and to Orient Bay.
They have excursions for this but June was talking about perhaps just walking around the Dutch and French side without booking an excursion and taking a taxi around.

Is this a good idea?

Maybe walking around for a bit and then the Afternoon Beach Bash tour?
Anyone doing this?

We're doing Under 2 flags in the morning, then playing the afternoon by ear. Depending upon how we feel, we may just go back to the ship....or find a little bar with caribbean music...

Asiah and I flew to Dallas today to meet up with Kristen and Elijah. He has basketball national this weekend. These kids are really active. Walt stayed home. He has a few things to do before we take off on the bike. We are very excited. Now it is time to go to our first basketball game. After we are going to eat pizza and then to a small amusement park. Kids are very excited. I will also see my daughter Erika tonite. She will be at the game too. :yay::woohoo::yay: :wizard::wizard::wizard: for Elijah's team. Diane

Better and more sad. Does that make sense? :goodvibes

What's Sugarcreek?

It's an amish and Mennonite community about 2 hrs away. There are a lot of shops and bed and breakfast's. Beautiful country.

We used to go here all the time. Really nice place. They bring breakfast to our cottage in a basket. Tons of food. Yummy breakfast! :thumbsup2

Haven't been there much since I started school. Hoping to go soon.

I haven't caught up for the day and I just walked in the door and heading out again to drop off Remington and pick up Julia and Claire. But, I just want you all to know that I had lunch with Paige today and I now know all the BIG secrets for July 4th.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So glad I kept my nose clean that weekend. :scared1:

BAHAHAHA>>:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I was NEVER a size 6. I went from a size 14 girls to a size 12 ladies.....And now I would give almost anything to be a size 12 again.:rotfl:

Same here...I was probably a size 6 when I was 8 years old. :rotfl2:

I was down 3 lbs today. :yay: The trick is to keep it off.

I just want to get back into my loose twelves. I'll be happy. (maybe) ;)

I don't think I ever had loose twelves. For me, twelve is smokin'.:cool2: Fourteen is more realistic.

Yes, I told Lori all the secrets--lapdances and holy water, but I forgot to tell her how amazed the AFEGs were at all the kitchen electronics Jeffy and Suz had. It was so funny to me because it was everything that we all have in our homes--blenders, coffee makers, microwaves, etc. But I had to laugh when we were talking about it and AFEG (or maybe it was Hazel) pointed out that, "How can a house with so many electronics have no kettle?" :rotfl: Hazel made tea in the morning. I couldn't believe she didn't have a rice cooker--it's a cajun thing.:lmao:

Walt/Di--Do y'all have a rice cooker? I have a great recipe for cabbage casserole (cabbage rolls) in the rice cooker....;)

Did they ever say the fault of the monorail crash?

I don't know if they will ever release the full results of the investigation. Disney generally tries to downplay accidents or fatalities on property. We were on property when the accident occurred. Nobody said anything about what had happened. Even though the buses were all screwed up the next morning. Later, it made sense since they were stretched thin because of the need to bus everybody to the Magic Kingdom.

I got the news over my iPhone about mid-day. One of the Bus Drivers did talk about things a bit with us and one other lady. (We were the only ones on the bus). I made a comment later in the day to another CM expressing condolences for the Monorail Pilot. The CM quickly changed the subject and shooed us out of the store.

There is a book that I would recommend to anyone interested in some of the behind the scenes happenings at Disneyland. Mouse Tales - A Behind the Ears Look at Disneyland. It is very interesting reading.
