Safe travels to all our BOBers who are traveling this weekend. See some of you soon!!!

Thanks for the heads up Nancy. Happy Birthdays to everyone from us too.

Off to photography this afternoon. I think its the last session today.

I didnt get round to posting what we did last week -

We had to photograph the item of our choice using different modes and angles eg macro, landscape etc etc. I chose a tree, macro on leaves, pine cone and bark, portrait - with a subject infront of it so the tree actaully became part of the negative space, landscape - from a distance etc, I photographed up from the trunk through the canopy etc etc. Quite amazing how the "object" looked so different when using different modes and actually thinking of different ways to photograph it.

I'll miss this course once its finished.

That's a lot to take in Karen. We need proof please.

We're planning the Stingray Encounter, then pulling up a beach chair and playing in the sand and sea....

Are we going to try and claim a section of the beach for the BOBers?

Yep..up the end near the bar, rest rooms and cookies bar-be-que.

Just checked Flight Tracker. Cass is STILL in Canada!!!:scared1:

Hi everyone, just checking in really quick.

Rikki, my sweetie pie ferret, is very very sick. I was at the emergency vet with her for 4 hours last night and they're still not sure what's up.
She does have adrenal gland disease though, common in ferrets, but that doesn't seem to explain her diarherra problem that's lasted for 2 days.
She's not eating and only little licks of water if I hold it up to her.

Taking her to another specialist today, and we'll see.

Of course this is costing me a fortune that my credit card companies love me for. But what can I do, I hate to see her like this.... poor baby.

She might not make it.
And I won't go to extreme lengths to keep her alive, so we'll see.

It's very sad:sad2::sad1: and I'm just wishing for her to feel more comfortable.

 For Rose (Arleen) and Rikki.

UPDATE:!!!!

Cass lands in Chicago in 40 minutes!!!:yay::yay::yay:

so sorry Rose.:sad2::grouphug:
i know ds and Robin loved that ferret he had.

Thanks Mike:hug:

I'm literally doing nothing today but keeping an eye on her and awaiting her appointment at 3:20.

Well except I rescued a dog in my back yard!

I hear this howling back between the trees between my and street behind me homes and go to check and there is this black lab with his back side caught in wire. The wire went into his skin about 3 inches.

I went to another neighbor and asked if it was theirs, it wasn't.
We checked on the dog but as we got close he growled and I didn't want to touch him.
So I called animal control.

Poor guy was even afraid of how to pull the wire out of the dog's back:eek:
but he did, and we called the owners.... the dog had a tag on.

Turns out the people down the street. They always get their dog lost!
Always running around looking for it. Dog is very untrained even when on her leash she runs and pulls her owner's kids around.

I've grabbed her a few times before for them.

So when they came to get her, both the animal control guy and I really let them know how bad it is for her to keep getting loose and how they'd better get her to a vet ASAP as that metal caught in her back was old and rusty.

They are a conservative christian family who homeschool their 5 or 6 kids and they seriously never interact with any neighbors, except when their dog is at someone else's house!

I seriously hope that they take that dog into the vet!

They didn't even thank us for rescuing their dog from that old fencing.:sad2:

 For Rose (Arleen) and Rikki.

One step closer to WI. :yay:

MIcKEY, the sleeping bags are out on the porch with a fly swatter and a can of "Off". Now, don't worry about the deer and coyote. They don't bite ...hard. The wild turkeys are a bit of a nuisance though. Those things aren't afraid of anything...or anyone, not even a Dawg.

if cass wants to hitchike to WI from chicago, we'll be happy to pick her up tomorrow morning.:cutie::grouphug:

Nope. As soon as Chuck gets home from work, we're on our way to pick her up! :woohoo:

Dawg, don't you have more than 3 :sail: ?

hey rose. i've got a case of soda to take to jefff's. he likes diet pepsi, right??
