Busy day today got a call this morning from Nancy's 89yr old mother that her dad had been sick all night after we evaluated the problem we called the rescue. After arriving at the hospital and all the testing he will be having his Gaul Bladder removed tomorrow PM. To say the least we are a little worried at 89 having surgery can be tricky.
We will let you all know tomorrow how we are doing.

Dan

Remember way back when we couldn't wait to be "all grown up"? Who knew being a grown-up would be so stressful?

Hi all,

Just staring on laundry from the weekend

:laundy:

OK - just wanted to try out that smilie - especially as it is spelled "laundy" - wanted to see if it really worked!

I'm actually :banana::banana: because DH has actually stopped using the excuse he "doesn't know how to do laundry" and has done some loads recently and this smilie is perfect for him :yay::yay: right down to the "collapse"... What can I say...sometimes little things make me happy :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone. Good luck to Nancy's dad.:hug:Hopefully it's a quick procedure and he doesn't have to be under anesthesia too long.:thumbsup2

Disney is going to build a hotel at the National Harbor. Our local news is reporting that Disney has bought land at the Nat'l Harbor in DC, but hasn't made an announcement as to when they will start the construction. It may be a few years bec/ of the economy. Still good news I think.:goodvibes

Yeah, and those little elves have to paint their own living room this weekend along with a tiling job in the kitchen. No rest for those elves. :sad2:

ooh..ceramic tile?? i'm good at that.:thumbsup2

I don't know Nancy, you may want to put that job off for 6 1/2 weeks. :rolleyes1

BTW, our saw will be back soon. It will make the job easier. :thumbsup2

Thanks again for helping with our paint job. Kitchen looks great. :thumbsup2

good morning gang.:flower3::wizard:

i'd like to stay and chat...but my paintbrush awaits.:rolleyes1

Morning peeps.

Well grad day is here:scared:

By the time you wake up I'll hopefully be almost half way through. The tripod I ordered still hasnt arrived:rolleyes:, so I'll have to manage with my minipod instead:rolleyes:...not ideal when everything I'm taking is in portrait mode. I've figured a way to do it, but its not ideal:sad2:

Been awake since 4am willing the postie to arrive with the tripod, but it hasnt happened yet:rolleyes: You can guarantee it will be waiting for me on my doorstep when I get back this afternoon:rolleyes: It's a miserable grey day outside too so they will all be indoors with forced flash - not ideal for portraits...remind me why I volunteered for this again:confused3

Can you tell I'm nervous:rotfl:

Oh well, its all for a good cause. I've made quite a bit of money for the school so hopefully it will all be ok.:rolleyes1

Good luck and have fun, those parents will appreciate it all. I am sure it will come out fine.

This grown up stuff is for the birds, i want to be a college kid again!

We've already done the floor a few years ago. This is the kitchen back-splash and we're using both ceramic and a gorgeous glass tile. I hope the finished product will look as good as it does just sitting on my counter. :)

You're most welcome Jeff. It was our pleasure. What could be better than surprising a dear friend and spending the day with another? :grouphug:

How funny, I went to bed and said the last load is in the dryer please get it out! Guess what's still in the dryer.....

Hey Karen, in case you hadn't noticed, Nancy is only 8 away from a poem. Just want to make sure she puts hers up. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Hello everyone. Well, the kids didn't have school today so it was the perfect day to march them to the post office to get their passports. $170 later, their applications are on their way! :woohoo:

Elaine and I will go on Friday (payday) to get ours. Just another step closer to the cruise.:thumbsup2:woohoo::yay::banana:
