I think I finally caught up.

Cass- great pictures, Kira is so cute and growing up so fast.

Those mountain pictures are beautiful.

Congrats to Sean for doing so well on his test.

We are Saturday nighters too, but not next week the Easter Vigil is three hours. If the choir has enough bodies I will skip.

It was a quick one last night too, maybe 40 minutes.

My mom was in the choir at church when we grew up. Every service they sang at, we went to. It is longer when they sing. I remember going to the church in Green Bay at the Diocease (sp?) on Saturday nights when we visited my grandma. No singing and we were done in 25-30 minutes. Just the "meat" of the service.

I do have to say, she was active in the choir until she died and they all came to sing at her funeral. It was a really nice service.

Is that a cruise TR Cass? If so, I'm so there. I love good cruise trippies. :thumbsup2

Yes, it is much nicer on the beach but do you really think I'd spend a week in Florida and not hit up the parks every day? :rotfl2: When we went there in 05 we did a park 4 times out of the 6 nights we were there. It's a long trip to and from Orlando every day but with free accomodations, it was well worth it. :cool1:

Pooh Sticks? I sure hope this doesn't have anything to do with cleaning up after someone's poochie. :confused3:rotfl2:

Were'nt they to die for Andy? I hope you got some fresh ones when you went. :wizard:

Oh no, I found those cruise trippies you guys read. I am on this computer enough without reading them. Oh well, maybe look at them this afternoon. Diane

Gotta tell you a funny, we moved DS yesterday. We brought all his stuff and just put it in the garage. He stayed causse he has a friend getting married, we he calls when he was getting ready had had no pants!!! We had brought them home. We traffic in destin was nuts, so he went a bought a new pair, not an exact match to his suit, but it worked!

I am not the best singer, but I love it and they are a fun bunch, the joke is always asking me to do the responses and I just laugh.

I love the trip reports especially the ones with pictures.

How much of the blueridge parkway are you riding? We live just a few miles off the mountain on skyline drive.

We are riding the entire parkway. Walt has been planning this trip where we are stopping and staying. He is a great organizer.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I leave it to him. We will be arrive at the Hampton Inn in Staunton Virginia on May 22nd. Di

Gotta go, have to take Roger to Airport and grocery shop, now that Ds is moving back in need more food than south beach and cambels soup!!

I don't mind the singing. I am just really, really terrible. Monotone.

In our new church, on Saturday nights, they have one or two soloists. We really get some good ones every so often. It is nice listening to them.

Good morning everyone...I trust all is well in your various locations. It was a good night last night on the thread. I have been kicking around saying something and almost did last night, so here goes.

I have been booked on this cruise now since August 2008, and I want to say that I have felt very welcome getting to know everyone these last 7-8 months. Sure there are occasional times(very rare) when I do feel like an outsider, but that is to be expected since I was not on KK1, and haven't met any of you face to face.

On my last DCL cruise. I did post on the cruise meet thread but there was no formal introductions, no pictures shared, and no awesome Cass to build a "Who's Going" website! :lmao: That thread was not really active. All that was said was, "meet by the pool at 3:00 on sailaway day. Well there were a few decent size groups by the pool that day, but I didn't dare go to each one and say, "are you a DISer???? Incidentally, I didn't meet any DISers on my last cruise which is a shame!

For this cruise that will not be the case. I feel like I really know a lot of you already and am looking forward to the DIS meet by the pool at the Radission, then in the terminal on Sailaway day. You all know what I look like, I know what you look like so it will almost be like a family reunion of sort.

So...I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for welcoming me into this group. It is going to be a new experience for me spending a vacation with not only family but 30 or so friends that I have been talking to for a year prior to sailing. That is going to make this a real special vacation! :goodvibes

Sorry to get sentimental, but I just wanted to share that with all of you!

I'm looking forward to the next several months of planning and getting to know more of all of you! :goodvibes:grouphug:

Yeah it is! I have days where I just keep reading trip reports after trip reports. One day I read a few about your KK1. It made me look forward to this cruise all the more.

I'm so glad you feel this way Christian. You have been a key part in our list of characters yourself. So, "thank you" too!;)

He stayed causse he has a friend getting married, we he calls when he was getting ready had had no pants!!! We had brought them home. So I have a funny story too. Some of you know that my dad is in the hospital again. He had TWO surgeries last Wednesday. My dad lost all function in his right hand, arm and shoulder after an accident in December of 07. He's been trying to use his left now but it's tough at 87 to get used to that. OK....not the funny part yet, I'm getting there. I just had to give you a little background first. ;)

On Friday he was eating jello from a little cup. He was having problems getting the last square out of the cup with his spoon in his left hand. It kept slipping away from him. He decided to knock it down like a shot instead. He thought it slipped down pretty easily too. Well about 20 minutes later he said his chest felt warm and wet. He looked under the blankets and noticed his gown was all green. His jello never made it down his throat, instead into the chest pocket on his gown and it melted!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:yay:200 more days until vacation!!!:yay:

Comments like these might actually get Neil posting:rotfl:

Cass - lovely pics of Kira, welcome back. Sean thought your remarks on the UK bober's was:thumbsup2. So vain.

I think ALL of our UK BOBers are very special...including the girls ;) I just didn't mention that part in my post :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Is that a cruise TR Cass? If so, I'm so there. I love good cruise trippies. :thumbsup2

No, sorry Nanc, just a WDW report. But she actually posts more photos than I do, and that is awesome !!! :cool1::thumbsup2:rotfl:

I'm looking forward to the next several months of planning and getting to know more of all of you! :goodvibes:grouphug:

Glad to hear that Chris! It really was awesome on the KK cruise to always have a smiling familiar face around, no matter where you went. I must admit that the best part was at the terminal seeing all our DIS friends. It was so exciting, there was this great electricity about being in the terminal that morning. Everywhere I looked, I saw KK logos, it was awesome! I can only IMAGINE how many BOB shirts there will be

I love the trip reports especially the ones with pictures.

I'm sooooo spoiled now, I can't read any reports without pictures  :rotfl2:

Pooh Sticks? I sure hope this doesn't have anything to do with cleaning up after someone's poochie. :confused3:rotfl2:

Not sure if you're kidding but heres an explanation - Pooh Sticks - from Winnie the Pooh... you each pick a stick and drop it in the stream... the person whose stick drifts the quickest past the "finish line" is the winner.

We played this morning but instrad of sticks we made oragami paper boats before we left.... I won:woohoo:

We then did the 2km walk round a bit of the park and through the woods. Its a great walk,...every 100metres there is a bench :rotfl:

Ice, rain, sleet and snow predicted here. :guilty:

Off to the mall for a one hour walk around in inside comfort. :)
Happy shopping;)

Ahhhhh, glad you felt welcome:goodvibes. We do try to explain any jokes eg f.o. and Plankton etc for newbies and I'm looking forward to meeting y'all in October:goodvibes I can honestly say that the KK cruise would NOT have been so good if it wasnt for the company.

Who makes that candy bar dark chocolate and chilis. I never heard of it. What game did Rosie win? Diane

The brand of chilli chocolate I get is from Hotel Chocolat... not sure you get it over there. They are small unique shops over here that sell only chocolat of different flavours, the chilli chocolates are my favourite from there. Very dark chocolate with the heat from the chillis - lovely:cloud9:

Rosie won a bet - its a big horse race held once a year called the Grand National. 40 horses run over 30 fences. Lots of horses dont even make it to the end. I dont gamble, but I always have a little bet on it every year. The horse that won was 100-1 odds so the bookies werent happy yesterday:rolleyes1

Had a fun day so far.

Pooh sticks and a 2km walk round the park in the lovely sunshine, then onto the cinema to watch Mosters and Aliens 3d... good kiddie movie. :goodvibes

Dropped Ellis off at Moms for a couple of hours and now Neils gone to bed - he's on night shift tonight:rolleyes:

I have the house to myself for 2-3 hours:cloud9:

I was kidding about using the sticks for a poochies pooh, but I didn't know what a Pooh Stick game was either. I'm not a Pooh fan. (Can I say that here?). Now I get it though. :thumbsup2

The stores aren't open in the mall until 11:00 on Sundays so we just walked it with all the other old people. :rotfl2:

Chuck and I love to play a game where one of us thinks of something nostalgic from our lives together and the other person has to guess what it is. It's tons of fun and makes the walk seem so much quicker. Today we walked around the mall 4 1/2 times and it took us 45 minutes! Whoo hooo!!

Karen, when Kristin was in grade school she always had problems with spelling. We would go mall walking at night (no shopping) and practice her spelling words as we walked. I had her lesson with me and quized her on the words while we walked around. We killed two birds with one stone that way. I got my exercise and Kristin did homework all at the same time. If she got all her words correct by the end of the walk, she got a quarter to spend at the "snack attack" kiosk. Snack Attack Kiosks are little gumball machines with gum, candy, chocolates in them. For a quarter you get a little handful. Just a thought for you and Ellis and his math. Maybe there is a way you could work his math work into a work out for you too. ;)
