Good morning everyone...I trust all is well in your various locations. It was a good night last night on the thread. I have been kicking around saying something and almost did last night, so here goes.

I have been booked on this cruise now since August 2008, and I want to say that I have felt very welcome getting to know everyone these last 7-8 months. Sure there are occasional times(very rare) when I do feel like an outsider, but that is to be expected since I was not on KK1, and haven't met any of you face to face.

On my last DCL cruise. I did post on the cruise meet thread but there was no formal introductions, no pictures shared, and no awesome Cass to build a "Who's Going" website! :lmao: That thread was not really active. All that was said was, "meet by the pool at 3:00 on sailaway day. Well there were a few decent size groups by the pool that day, but I didn't dare go to each one and say, "are you a DISer???? Incidentally, I didn't meet any DISers on my last cruise which is a shame!

For this cruise that will not be the case. I feel like I really know a lot of you already and am looking forward to the DIS meet by the pool at the Radission, then in the terminal on Sailaway day. You all know what I look like, I know what you look like so it will almost be like a family reunion of sort.

So...I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for welcoming me into this group. It is going to be a new experience for me spending a vacation with not only family but 30 or so friends that I have been talking to for a year prior to sailing. That is going to make this a real special vacation! :goodvibes

Sorry to get sentimental, but I just wanted to share that with all of you!

I'm looking forward to the next several months of planning and getting to know more of all of you! :goodvibes:grouphug:

Yeah it is! I have days where I just keep reading trip reports after trip reports. One day I read a few about your KK1. It made me look forward to this cruise all the more.

Chris, you said it all. I was a little nervous our last cruise "knowing" so many people on board. I wasn't sure how it would be but it turned out I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! It was the best vacation ever. It is great getting to learn about everyone and then meet in person. :thumbsup2

Off to visit my daddy before the storm starts. Later peoples.

We are riding the entire parkway. Walt has been planning this trip where we are stopping and staying. He is a great organizer.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I leave it to him. We will be arrive at the Hampton Inn in Staunton Virginia on May 22nd. Di

Staunton is only an hour from us. Just over the mountain. When time gets closer if you guys want to meet for dinner or have a FREE place to stay you are more than welcome!!!!!!!!!!! We'll kick Mike out of the basement and let you all have it.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm so glad you feel this way Christian. You have been a key part in our list of characters yourself. So, "thank you" too!;)

So I have a funny story too. Some of you know that my dad is in the hospital again. He had TWO surgeries last Wednesday. My dad lost all function in his right hand, arm and shoulder after an accident in December of 07. He's been trying to use his left now but it's tough at 87 to get used to that. OK....not the funny part yet, I'm getting there. I just had to give you a little background first. ;)

On Friday he was eating jello from a little cup. He was having problems getting the last square out of the cup with his spoon in his left hand. It kept slipping away from him. He decided to knock it down like a shot instead. He thought it slipped down pretty easily too. Well about 20 minutes later he said his chest felt warm and wet. He looked under the blankets and noticed his gown was all green. His jello never made it down his throat, instead into the chest pocket on his gown and it melted!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl2: That made me laugh out loud.:rotfl2:

Finally caught up. Now off to the Easter Egg Hunt.

Cass, love the pics. Kira is growing into a beautiful young girl. The mountains are unbelievable!!!!!

Sorry I missed you all last night. It looks like you all had a bunch of fun.

:yay:200 more days until vacation!!!:yay:

We have 192 days until we leave :cool1::woohoo::banana:

Karen, when Kristin was in grade school she always had problems with spelling. We would go mall walking at night (no shopping) and practice her spelling words as we walked. I had her lesson with me and quized her on the words while we walked around. We killed two birds with one stone that way. I got my exercise and Kristin did homework all at the same time. If she got all her words correct by the end of the walk, she got a quarter to spend at the "snack attack" kiosk. Snack Attack Kiosks are little gumball machines with gum, candy, chocolates in them. For a quarter you get a little handful. Just a thought for you and Ellis and his math. Maybe there is a way you could work his math work into a work out for you too. ;)

What a good mom you are :flower3:

Lori,

We still on for May 2? I told Paige somewhere regional or local would be great.

How things out your way?

So, Marley & Me was sold out in blu ray at Walmart last night so Rob just came home and we watched Mummy 3 that he bought last week. What a piece o' crappola!!! :sad2:

But I called the video store and reserved the blu ray copy of M & Me, so when it comes in, we will watch that :thumbsup2

My girl is finally awake, gonna go make some breakfast for her...have a great Sunday everyone :wave2:

Off to visit my daddy before the storm starts. Later peoples.

Are we still expecting it to roll in?

I see they downed the amount to only 1"-3" now. I think we'll just wait and see. The forecasters haven't gotten these things right to much lately.

We could go from nothing to a blizzard and they won't even know.

We are. Scott mentioned this seafood place that looks not that hot but is always SOOOOOO crowded and we hear great things about it. I was gonna call and see if it was pretty casual so we could be semi loud (like I know we will be). Let me know what you think.
