We are Saturday nighters too, but not next week the Easter Vigil is three hours. If the choir has enough bodies I will skip.
Is that a cruise TR Cass? If so, I'm so there. I love good cruise trippies.
Yes, it is much nicer on the beach but do you really think I'd spend a week in Florida and not hit up the parks every day? When we went there in 05 we did a park 4 times out of the 6 nights we were there.
It's a long trip to and from Orlando every day but with free accomodations, it was well worth it.
Pooh Sticks? I sure hope this doesn't have anything to do with cleaning up after someone's poochie.
Were'nt they to die for Andy? I hope you got some fresh ones when you went.![]()
It was a quick one last night too, maybe 40 minutes.
My mom was in the choir at church when we grew up. Every service they sang at, we went to. It is longer when they sing. I remember going to the church in Green Bay at the Diocease (sp?) on Saturday nights when we visited my grandma. No singing and we were done in 25-30 minutes. Just the "meat" of the service.
I do have to say, she was active in the choir until she died and they all came to sing at her funeral. It was a really nice service.
Oh no, I found those cruise trippies you guys read. I am on this computer enough without reading them. Oh well, maybe look at them this afternoon. Diane
How much of the blueridge parkway are you riding? We live just a few miles off the mountain on skyline drive.
Lots of different brands, I found at Wegmans(our grocery chain) and also last night at Target.
Target had Lindt brand (mildly hot though), but the one I bought was
Frey, made in Switzerland.
It is VERY hot!![]()
Wow that is different. I don't know if I will be trying it anytime soon. Maybe.![]()
I am not the best singer, but I love it and they are a fun bunch, the joke is always asking me to do the responses and I just laugh.
Good morning everyone...I trust all is well in your various locations. It was a good night last night on the thread. I have been kicking around saying something and almost did last night, so here goes.
I have been booked on this cruise now since August 2008, and I want to say that I have felt very welcome getting to know everyone these last 7-8 months. Sure there are occasional times(very rare) when I do feel like an outsider, but that is to be expected since I was not on KK1, and haven't met any of you face to face.
On my last DCL cruise. I did post on the cruise meet thread but there was no formal introductions, no pictures shared, and no awesome Cass to build a "Who's Going" website! That thread was not really active. All that was said was, "meet by the pool at 3:00 on sailaway day. Well there were a few decent size groups by the pool that day, but I didn't dare go to each one and say, "are you a DISer???? Incidentally, I didn't meet any DISers on my last cruise which is a shame!
For this cruise that will not be the case. I feel like I really know a lot of you already and am looking forward to the DIS meet by the pool at the Radission, then in the terminal on Sailaway day. You all know what I look like, I know what you look like so it will almost be like a family reunion of sort.
So...I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for welcoming me into this group. It is going to be a new experience for me spending a vacation with not only family but 30 or so friends that I have been talking to for a year prior to sailing. That is going to make this a real special vacation!
Sorry to get sentimental, but I just wanted to share that with all of you!
I'm looking forward to the next several months of planning and getting to know more of all of you!
Yeah it is! I have days where I just keep reading trip reports after trip reports. One day I read a few about your KK1. It made me look forward to this cruise all the more.
Gotta tell you a funny, we moved DS yesterday. We brought all his stuff and just put it in the garage. He stayed causse he has a friend getting married, we he calls when he was getting ready had had no pants!!! We had brought them home. We traffic in destin was nuts, so he went a bought a new pair, not an exact match to his suit, but it worked!
Comments like these might actually get Neil posting![]()

Who makes that candy bar dark chocolate and chilis. I never heard of it. What game did Rosie win? Diane
The brand of chilli chocolate I get is from Hotel Chocolat... not sure you get it over there. They are small unique shops over here that sell only chocolat of different flavours, the chilli chocolates are my favourite from there. Very dark chocolate with the heat from the chillis - lovely
Rosie won a bet - its a big horse race held once a year called the Grand National. 40 horses run over 30 fences. Lots of horses dont even make it to the end. I dont gamble, but I always have a little bet on it every year. The horse that won was 100-1 odds so the bookies werent happy yesterday![]()
On Friday he was eating jello from a little cup. He was having problems getting the last square out of the cup with his spoon in his left hand. It kept slipping away from him. He decided to knock it down like a shot instead. He thought it slipped down pretty easily too. Well about 20 minutes later he said his chest felt warm and wet. He looked under the blankets and noticed his gown was all green. His jello never made it down his throat, instead into the chest pocket on his gown and it melted!!![]()
I have the house to myself for 2-3 hours![]()
Not sure if you're kidding but heres an explanation - Pooh Sticks - from Winnie the Pooh... you each pick a stick and drop it in the stream... the person whose stick drifts the quickest past the "finish line" is the winner.
We played this morning but instrad of sticks we made oragami paper boats before we left.... I won
We then did the 2km walk round a bit of the park and through the woods. Its a great walk,...every 100metres there is a bench
Happy shopping![]()
