On our first cruise with RCCL, we used a hotel shuttle that didn't leave for the ship until 1:45 or so. I think it was after 2 when we boarded. We didn't have much time on ship after eating before the muster drill.
On our first DCL cruise, (last cruise) we arrived at the port a little after 10 and had a #4 boarding pass. Elaine was registered by the time I returned from Budget. We just hung out for about an hour, watched the shuttle go up, then boarded around 11:50 or so. It seemed we had the ship to ourselves. I think we were the first "customers" at Topsiders.
Yeah, we got to the cruise terminal after 1:30 and onboard around 2:00 pm or so. We had to rush through lunch (what was left of lunch anyway) in order to get back to our room for the lifeboat drill. Anyway, lesson learned. We are going to use a car service to pick us up at BCV and bring us to PC early to meet up with what is sure to be a large B.O.B. group and try to be among the first on the ship.

Has anyone set up a DISmeet at the port prior to boarding the ship?
