Well, I have one more thing done....booked our ground transportation from the hotel to port.

I think that is the last reservation I have to make until booking Palo and shore excursions.

Yum again! I will have to try one of those floats. Walt and I are trying to watch what we eat. We both need to lose a few pounds. Every extra pound we lose will be great while we are traveling on the bike. Diane

Good for you Jen! I am still waffling over the flight, so I can't make rental car reservations until I do that. But it looks like I can get a really good rate from Avis

I'll try and check back in later, going to get my haircut, then Hazel and I are heading to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. We got another Buy One Dinner, Get A Second Dinner for Free coupon. The coupon(s) were in our morning newspaper. In fact, our paper delivery person put two BOGO coupons in our newspaper the other day.

Bryan is cooking dinner for Lina and his parents tonight, that's why Hazel and I are heading out for dinner.......

ahh a&w root beer. i worked there for 2 years when i was in high school.

we used to mix the root beer right up in a vat in the back of the place.
wonder if they still do it that way? i doubt it.

They used to have the best onion rings too!

I'm nursing Hazel back to health, she had a nasty fall getting out of the car earlier. Never got to Ruby Tuesday, just put a Joe Corbi white pizza in the oven for dinner. Hazel is a bit banged up with cuts and scrapes, but no broken bones thank goodness. She slipped on just a tiny bit of ice and snow that was still on the ground. Darn this stinkin' winter weather.......

There wasn't really enough snow or ice on the ground that needed wearing those ice cleats. She stepped out of the car, and down she went. I think the curb had a tiny thin layer of black ice and that's what she stepped on, then went crashing to the ground. She was on the ground before she even know what happened. Very scary.

I've decided that Bryan is a keeper because of the cooking!! What a deal.

I love rootbeer floats too! I make them with A&W Diet Rootbeer and Breyers No Sugar Added Vanilla ice cream (1/2 cup serving of ice cream is just perfect for a float )

Yummy - now I wish I had some root beer & ice cream, but I'm not going back out to the store tonight, not even for ice cream!!!

That's a great idea. I usually take my Castaway Club bottle of water to water aerobics - maybe I could take a milk shake instead!

WALT: Now I know what you meant when you asked about coffee in Vassalboro. There was an article about the establishmnet in our local paper. I had heard about the place before but forgot about it when you posted. Gotcha now! But we're probably not going there any time soon!!!



We were excited to see that Jet Blue has posted dates for October after being set on Sept 8 for ages - until....we saw that they haven't gone out to November which is when we want to fly home (Mon the 2) Bummer. So we still can't book with that airline. Our next best option is Delta from Boston if we want a non stop. So we wait......
