10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #16

I'm trying to backtrack and look through all the kid pics posted....love them all! I love seeing the Christmas pictures...everyone's decorations and clothes are so pretty!

Here are a couple of our's that I just scanned today...

And I still don't know why I stay here.

Last year, the heavy snow didn't come until Feb and March. We did a total of 100" last year. Our record is 108". If those two months are anything like last year, we will blow that record away.

Granted we're not in Buffalo or upstate NY, or even in western MI where they get much more, but when you start breaking your snow fall records, it gets to be too much snow.

We had a really hard frost last night. The temp read -4 degrees when we left for work this morning.

Well, just got a phone call from The Windsor House (nursing home). Must be time for some more abuse.

Mom calls me about 3 times a week to yell at me. (Another sundowner...darn alzheimers!)

I have not done well eating wise since Thanksgiving. I probably gained 10 pounds. I will have to pay at Weight Watchers this month. What a downer then after the 1st of the year start the new program and get back on the ball. I eat anything I want right now without any guilt. I have not done that since I started weight watchers. After we go to Walt's mom's house this weekend I will be back on track. I have to. My clothes are alittle tight. I wont for sure fit in my Harley jeans and leathers. Weight watchers has a new program that started two weeks ago. I haven't even read the material yet. How bad is that!!!!! Diane

Hi Di. Rick and I will start again in the new year. Whats the new program consist of. I haven't been for some years, but keep track of my weight by weighing myself at home once a week. I haven't done it yet, but like you, I know I;ve put on weight as trousers are a bit snug!

I did alot of baking too. I made a couple trays to give away but still have more to eat. By the way, I just ate one cookie. They all taste so good. I want more. I can't. Will Power. I froze alot of the treats for later. Diane

We have tins of chocolates here at work and it took a lot of self will not to eat one.

Thanks for the warning....we wanted to see that and I'm a cry baby at movies the way it is!!!

I just walked in the door...it's 1:30 am and there's no way I am catching up I'll do that tomorrow!


My sister and I went to supper and a movie tonight. We went to see the Benjamin Button movie. Holy crap...I'm warning you now...if you go see this...bring a whole box of kleenex!!!

It was an amazing movie but at the same time, it was the saddest movie I have ever seen!!!!!!

I'm more emotional since I had Kira but I think I was teary eyed for most of the movie and then I balled my eyes out for the last 30 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to wake Kira up and hold her and cuddle her when I got home

Not the kind of movie I should have seen on the anniversary of my mom's death but nevertheless, it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, off to bed for me.

No, not popular, I just can't get to my pm box. I keep getting "unauthorized access" messages. Every once in awhile I get access but not often. I think someone's messing with my account.

Looks like there were a lot of pages last night. Yay!!! Just like old times. I can't read them all either because I have a date with my exercise bike this morning but I'll sneek a peek at work today instead.

Cass, I want to see that movie too. It looks really good although I'll have to see it alone or with the girls. Chuck only likes action movies and I hate taking him kicking and screaming to a movie he may not like. It upsets the other viewers when he falls asleep and snores his way through the movie.

Howdy Folks........

Checking in from sickbay this morning. Still home with the flu but starting to feel a little better, not even going to try and catch up here, looks like a lot of pages were added since I last signed on.........

Fever finally broke yesterday, but my head is still in a fog. I could only imagine how I would have felt if I didn't have the flu shot in October......

Lina got "the call" from The Disney Store yesterday. Because of the sagging economy, none of the 30 seasonal employees that were hired are being offered part-time positions at the store. In fact, some of theor regular part-time employees are losing hours. At least Lina still has her babysitting job at the moment to tide her over.

Well guys, I'll try and check back in later, time for my meds and some more rest. I've got to get back into work tomorrow and Friday to get Thursday's holiday pay.
