It came from Paiges DD Emily.

Excellent news.thanks for sharing.

Okay - I have not had the pleasure of your company for a meal, so please explain a couple of things - Do you typically eat your meals on several plates or a divided type plate or what? How do you eat a sandwich if your foods can't touch?

I'm waiting to hear this one.

Good morning,

Slow at work today. Get off at noon

Di makes oyster stuffing for the Turkey for her and the girls. Only time oysters are prepared in the home. This year, my request is cornbread stuffing for the Turkey with oyster stuffing cook separately in the oven. :) Di agreed

HAPPY Thanksgiving Bobers

Since I do the cooking on Thanksgiving, except Oyster stuffing, won't be dising until late. :flower3:

Walt :cool1:

Sorry Rose...Didn't intend to steal your FO

Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow US bobers.

Wow!
You're career choice is definitely commendable.
Teachers and nurses are very special and important people:angel:

Well, thank you - it wasn't really a choice for me, except I guess, a choice to do what I was supposed to do. I tried not to do it, because my mother's idea of success is very materialistic, and I was a very compliant child who wanted to please her mom. It is really all I have done - even when I was toying with the idea of law school and went through paralegal school and worked as one - I ended up teaching the paralegals under me. I eventually went back to school and got all the credentials and the masters and my mom is okayw ith it.

I have to put up with bl**dy Yoda. Drives me crazy!

Okay - so answer this one for me please: Is bl**dy what we would call a cuss word? What about - oh, forgive me but I don't know if I knwo how to spell this one - bly me? I met an English girl in Mallorca when I was a kid and she always said what sounded as if it would be spelled bly me.

Yes, they're all great castles. The Tower of London has the crown jewels as well.
Oh and just the architecture of the Tower of London alone is so gorgeous! I took so many pictures of it when I was there and tried to creative with the composition to really show off some of the intricacies of the architecture. I do love Eurpope. Don't get me wrong, I love the US too, but Europe is so much older, has years of history that a lot of Americans just can't conceptualize - that long a period of time, I mean - and protects its history rather than tearing it down to build "bigger and better." Of course the crown jewels are a site to behold, but heck, I was just as amazed if not more by the architecture alone.

What about a poppadum?
Hmmm - Still a bit large and isn't it rather firm like a fried tortilla since it's roasted? But hey any practice is better than none! Our head pancakes at Palo were small - about 4" across and about 1/3" thick maybe. If they had been bigger and fluffier, they would have flopped more like a mantilla maybe. :rotfl: I say go for it!

Hi Everyone......

Just wanted to drop by and wish everyone in the USA a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, and say hello to everyone else.

We have been very busy here. I put in about 20 hours overtime over the past week and a half, and will also be working overtime this coming Friday and Saturday. The overtime is nice, but it leaves very little time for anything else. Lina has two part-time jobs now, so that keeps mom and dad busy taking her back and forth to work. Mom takes the daytime runs, and I do the nighttime runs.

My online time has been very limited to say the least. I think I have only made about 5 posts on the DIS in the past two weeks. Sorry, but I haven't been keeping up on this thread, but I did receive a PM from MG this morning.

I was so sorry to hear about Paige's surgery, but happy to hear that the post surgery reports sound promising. Get well soon Paige.....:flower3:

The saving grace for me has still been getting to the gym on a regular basis. As of this past Saturday I am now down 32 pounds.

OK, dinner is ready, so I'll close for now........bye all.......:wave2:

Oh Andy - it is SOOOOOO good to hear from you! I have missed your presence on the board. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope things settle down for you soon. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! CONGRATS on the 32!

Well, the sweet potato soufle is done; the 6 pounds of chicken is now all cut up and made into chicken salad, the pies are waiting, about the only things left are the small side items and the mashed potatoes. My son is home and wants to dig into it all now! :rotfl2:

I was wondering and perhaps some of you know - what do the Magic and Wonder do for Thanksgiving, if anything? Do they serve a traditional American Thanksgiving meal? Do they decorate? Or do they ignore it?
