Chris - I didn't think you'd be in this early today. I hope it was a good day - with lots of donations for you!

Aren't they just the sweetest bunch!!!!!

Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! I am going to sneak out of work early with a couple of people to see Twilight. I am so excited. :yay: I feel like I am playing hooky. I am working on Friday and maybe doing some shopping on line.:surfweb:

Leisha, you're a wild woman! Let's hope your boss isn't a DISer! :lmao:

I have to put up with bl**dy Yoda. Drives me crazy!

A right turn you shall make :yoda:

What about a poppadum?

Ok, what's a poppadum? Does this mean a Pancake Sister you would like to be?

Hi Everyone......

Just wanted to drop by and wish everyone in the USA a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, and say hello to everyone else.

Hi Andy and the same to you and your family. And Congratulations on the 32 pounds!!! :yay:

I hope you all are all right today. :)

So glad you two are doing fine. I trust the sons and grandchildren are too. It is good to hear from you especially after than weather report!

Other than some twigs & small branches in the yard we had no problems from the storm. I guess other parts of the state had it bad because the Gov. declared a state of emergency, mostly because of all the power outages. We went to a hockey game earlier & I heard there that many rural areas still didn't have power. My sister lost power & they're doing the potatoes & squash. Hope they have it back by morning!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S.
and happy Thursday to our UK & Canadian friends!

Hi Everyone......

Just wanted to drop by and wish everyone in the USA a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, and say hello to everyone else.

We have been very busy here. I put in about 20 hours overtime over the past week and a half, and will also be working overtime this coming Friday and Saturday. The overtime is nice, but it leaves very little time for anything else. Lina has two part-time jobs now, so that keeps mom and dad busy taking her back and forth to work. Mom takes the daytime runs, and I do the nighttime runs.

My online time has been very limited to say the least. I think I have only made about 5 posts on the DIS in the past two weeks. Sorry, but I haven't been keeping up on this thread, but I did receive a PM from MG this morning.

I was so sorry to hear about Paige's surgery, but happy to hear that the post surgery reports sound promising. Get well soon Paige.....:flower3:

The saving grace for me has still been getting to the gym on a regular basis. As of this past Saturday I am now down 32 pounds.

OK, dinner is ready, so I'll close for now........bye all.......:wave2:

Nice to see you drop in Andy! Good job on the 32 pounds. Sure wish it were me. :goodvibes

I am home for dinner but going to pickup my workers here in about an hour.

Thought of you the other day Chris, while Hazel and I were entering our local Walmart we saw a "bell ringer" out front of the store. ;)

Ok, earlier today I saw someone was asking about Thanksgiving Day food traditions.

We usually have the typical meal so our traditions start on Friday. I take leftover turkey breast and make a Pesto Turkey salad. I make sandwiches out of it on a good fresh german rye bread. Absolutely delish! :thumbsup2 We also have turkey sandwiches with the cranberry on it.

Joanne, I'm the complete opposite. I bake my dressing in a cookie sheet so it's nice and crispy. :)

Thanks!

:yay:

My boss is who talked me into going. ;) The movie is great! I loved the books and the movie stuck to the book as much as it could. Tell Frank Hi for us. I thought I would jump on for a few minutes to get caught up.

Andy - congrats on 32lbs! You are my inspiration.:yay:

My family is greatful that I will not be cooking tomorrow. I am allowed to take the pies that I order from a local bakery. Mom is cooking and it will be wonderful. Everyone have a wonderful holiday and to our UK and Canadian friends I am greatful that I am getting to know you.

We had our Thanksgiving Dinner last night and had leftovers tonight. Tomorrow, Hazel will meet her siblings at their mother's grave at 11am, then the three of us are going to see "Bolt" at 12:30, followed by dinner at the Colonial Diner.

Hey Chris - I saw on the news tonight that some people from the Salvation Army rang the opening bell for the Stock Exchange this morning. You weren't there, were you? :)

I seem to recall that you were headed into the city for the Macy's Parade tomorrow. Looks like the weather will be nice and the winds not too bad. Have a great time - we'll look for you on the TV!

Oh I love it that your tradition is for after the meal with part of the meal - very unique!

Lina took this pic of her cat Stefani and me a short while ago. This is how I get warm after being out in the cold weather all day.......;)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!
Mack and I are certainly enjoying getting to know all of you and look forward to sailing with our old friends and new friends! We are thankful for this group!

Love it, Andy! And you are looking quite slim!!

That's probably why I feel so cold these days, I'm losing all my body fat that used to keep me insulated from the cold.......:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
