They tore the old house down on Saturday, laid the foundation Saturday night into Sunday, and had the whole frame and home studded on Monday. The reveal was on Thursday. The home was landscaped and furnished by early afternoon. There were minor things that needed to be done but the home had a certificate of occupancy. The minor things were things that could be hidden from the show's camera's, but yes they did do it.

I delivered some food to the workers on Monday in the house and it was "organized chaos." There had to be about 100 people working in the house and another 100 or so outside doing the stonework, siding and roof.

I had Hazel take a couple pics of me after I arrived home from the gym this morning.

These pics make me feel soooooooooooooooo much better about myself.........:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Wow great job Andy. I need to get back on track. This weekend I have done real bad. All kinds of food and sweets I normally don't eat. I am glad when I do this I feel chunky. I feel like I gained 20 pounds. My hands even feel chunky. That way I will watch what I eat from then on. Diane

Karen - It depends on the child's problem and the orthodontist. My son had to have his palate widened at 4, so he a type of metalwork then. I got my braces when I was 12 or 13 - I had them for 2 years, 19 days, 1 hour, and 13 minutes - it was that awful. I have seen student have them at 8 and again not until they were 15. I had a student who is 13 just get his off this week. Another student in the same grade level went to get his on this week. I believe there are different schools of thought on teeth shifting at a younger age or being easier to move when they are younger. I think it also depends on what type of orthodonture the patient is getting. With the invisilign, I believe they have to be older than with traditional braces. And of course, everything considered traditional now is a mount attached to the front of the tooth where I had silver bands all the way around all my teeth. I fact my teeth are so small, my bands had to be custom made.

Palate widening??:confused3

Never heard of that?

Ellis' teeth are too big for his mouth so one or two look like they are coming in crooked. I wonder if this palete widening would help? How long is it on for?

Just try to take comfort in knowing you are being a good daughter even though she is making it difficult. I do understand though!

No matter what I do its never good enough... She'll never forgive me for moving house:sad2:

I had braces five years. I got them in 5th grade and got them off in 10th grade. In fact, I drove myself to my last few orthodondist appointments when I had my retainers.

5 years!

Lina had the same problem with her teeth. Six teeth had to be pulled, and a 7th fell out as the 6 were being romoved before her braces could be put on. She was around ten when she got her braces and 12 when they were removed, but to look at her smile now, it was worth every penny!!! :)

A lot of the old Andy was sweated away!!! :yay:

I hope Ellis gts them early on. Kids over here are cruel and if he gets them in Senior school kids would tease.:sad2: I hope he gets them about 10:thumbsup2

Lina has a lovely smile - worth every penny:thumbsup2
