Phew! - christmas is out of the loft:woohoo: :yay:

It took about 1 1/2 hours to pass all the boxes down:eek:

Some of them went straight back up once I'd been through them as we're only doing half our usual christmas decs this year.

As for packing for Bob - I have a few things gathered;) , my gift tags are part made and I'm sorting my itinary already:rotfl: My flights are booked:thumbsup2, my villa is booked:thumbsup2 and I have a list of restaurants I want to eat in that we cant fit in at christmas:rotfl: ...... so yes, I guess you could call me organised:lmao:

Its a shame you have to pay for your first bag now too. We still get a good allowance with Virgin (2 x 23kg bags each) but its not easy to limit me :rolleyes1 ... I learned my mistake last year with the tag gifts - they'll be small and packable this year:rotfl: and I WONT pre-assemble them as it took up twice the space:rolleyes:

I'm itching to get decorating:yay:

Nancy - did you get your tree up yet? Or watch our favourite movie?

I'll wait for Neil to go to work on Monday before I start putting christmas up.

I now have the p.c. room full of suitcases and the 4th bedroom full of christmas:rolleyes1 ...aka our house is a right mess:rolleyes1

Karen you're amazing!

:santa:

Yup. You did. Good job.

I'm so glad to hear you were only kidding that I'm not even mad.

Of course, now we can go ahead with the plan for the new door signs :rolleyes1

Ohhhhhh that was BAAAAADDDDDD! I think we need to make sure there are new door signes, and Kathy, remember all the signage they put up for us DVCers in Route 66? We could make sure there is something like that too.

She's right. But you already know that, I'm sure...

Did you notice that none of your buddies came to your defense today? They were all laughing too hard! That Cass is so talented! :rotfl:

They were laughing or they were crying - just htinking about what might appear in their honor next November!

Good morning all - back to catch up some more!

No back up from the Tuna. He's MIA until 10/24.:sad2:

I think this started because Chuck was upset because you sent out all those gobblers but you didn't send one to him. although he didn't say i quite that way, that's what he meant And then someone else took it another way ;)

Oh, Mimi, we need you! You think on a much grander scale than the rest of us! Although Cass did act immediately on the Dumbotron thing...

Multi=quotes are killing my post count, but here goes -

no no no!!!

go to the puppy cam. its better than having the real thing. no mess to clean up.

i mean really guys, robin even named this dog we're NOT getting.

Get the dog! She has the sweetest name already - must have her!

For future reference Mike, your shoes really should match your purse!;)

And no white after Labor Day.

but i'm very sweet and loving too.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

the choice is yours, me or a new poochie. whats it gonna be??
(wait, dont answer that):scared: :scared:

Yep - you don't want to ask that question.

Hey, you know we girls always stick together. :teeth: :flower3:

Amen! Sisters forever; and other sayings I won't quote....

Good morning peeps:goodvibes f.o. while you sleep :)
I've left Neil snoring in bed.

Had a lovely meal last night. Its a really old fashioned restaurant / pub. Old wooden beams everywhere, little cosy rooms rather than one main dining room. Old photos of the area in frames on the walls. Lovely atmosphere and they do a great merlot :)

Starters -

Me - goats cheese fondue with beetroot and crusty bread

Neil - chicken liver pate

Mains -

Me - chicken wellington with potatoes and veg and red wine gravy

Neil - fish and chips (sounds boring but looked georgous)

We had a cheesecake and cream in the fridge at home so we went home for a slice of that instead as there wasnt anything on the menu I fancied..... we ended up eating all 6 slices:rolleyes1
Diet starts (again) today:rolleyes1

Sounds fabulous! I miss a good pate. Please tell me since you mentioned fish and chips here... educate this American - what is the diffrence between chips and fries? (Mack and I are still talking about the post with pizza and fries)

Good reason to get a cat!:cat:

Allergic to cats - dogs too, but they don't make my throat swell shut. Get the dog! Less attitude!

I love the way our minds are in sync! :woohoo:

You know, I just can't get enough of this picture, I just love the footwork! :lmao: Notice how the other 2 guys are looking on with awe and admiration, knowing that they just can't compete with the Dawg! :rotfl2:

They really do have the look of awe in their eyes!

What exactly did they do to him? :sad2: :sad2:

You don't have to laugh at yourself alone, we can help! you know, you started this when you threatened my bunny
People will probably expect you to jump up and say 'where's my strawberry smoothie!'

Okay - caught up for now!

Karen - you are amazing with the Christmas out already. I have a couple fo friends here who have done their decorating. I can't seem to do it this early. I want it up, but I can't do it this early.

Kathy - where will you be spending Christmas?

Annette - What the heck is BB doing with an after-Thanksgiving sale now???? I am getting confused.

Oops. Was it good though?

:rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2
i get warned about crying wolf all the time..:rolleyes1
but hey, you gotta laugh at yourself.
i figure if i croak, i want people to laugh at my funeral and say "that mike was a fun guy". cry no tears for me.:cool2:

We'll cry and say that Mike was a fun guy all at the same time. :lovestruc

Wow! Are you going to use them all for the Bob cruise?

Ummm, maybe. :goodvibes

Nancy - did you get your tree up yet? Or watch our favourite movie?

I did get one of them up last night but have to do the tinsel today. I love tinsel but it has to go up one strand at a time. Chuck is always excused from Tinsel duty as he just grabs a bunch and tosses it. :sad2:

I actually watched three movies last night. White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation.

I love the way our minds are in sync! :woohoo:

This is going to be a blast Kathy!:rotfl:

Nancy - you have to tell Tuna to get back on here.

Highly unlikely. :guilty:

I think this started because Chuck was upset because you sent out all those gobblers but you didn't send one to him. although he didn't say i quite that way, that's what he meant And then someone else took it another way ;)

Exactly.

Kathy - where will you be spending Christmas?

I'm going to Florida (not Disney) to have Christmas with my parents. I'm going down the Sunday before, to help my Mom with last minute things and shopping. Unfortunately, Frank can't come down until Christmas night (something about having to work that day ) and then we are both leaving on Saturday.

I love hearing about everyones decorations! I can't put up a tree anymore because it basically turns into a giant cat toy. I have a den/loft overlooking my living room and my little sweeties used the Christmas as an alternate method to get upstairs. Infinitely more fun than using the staircase, although it took it's toll on my ornaments. But my parents make up for my lack of decorations - remember the Griswolds house in Christmas Vacation? I think my Mom even has Christmas toilet paper. :rotfl2:

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to getting to know him too. But I'm going to assume that he is a fun guy because, after all, he is married to you!

Kathy, when we had a cat we would hang tinsel from the middle of the tree and up because she would like to eat it. Talk about a funny looking tree but I just couldn't go without my tinsel.

Christmas Vacation is one of my favorites. I laugh harder everytime I see it. I love the scene where Clark is looking out of the window visualizing his pool and cousin Eddie is on the diving board with his wife beater shirt tucked inside of his speedo! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well, we went shopping today and ended up buying Christmas pressies.

We have a few done too but I love shopping the day after Thanksgiving with all the other crazies out there. We get up at the "butt crack of stupid" , grab a cup of coffee and head over to the mall by 5 a.m. We're usually done by noon. We get them all wrapped and tucked away. We have the rest of November and December to relax then. :)

Awwww, thanks Kathy. :flower3:

Well, guess I have to do a little grocery shopping now. I haven't had breakfast yet and all that's in this house is chips and dip and some Jelly Bellies. Do you think the chips and dip could be considered my vegetables and dairy? The Jelly Bellies could be my fruits if I only eat the peach, pear, cherry and orange ones, right???

Watch for the release of my new book::Creative Weight Watchering:goodvibes

When I was a child, my mom put tinsel on the tree - one strand at a time. Needless to say, we were nto allowed to help. My hsuabnd's family also put tinsel ont he tree - not only when he was small but still today. When we married, he wanted tinsel on the tree. I had grown to think it was not so pretty, but we combined traditions andput tinsel on the tree - thus the great battle of one strand or clumps began! We met somewhere in the middle. It has been a topic of laughter since!

I guess Frank does have to work some of those days we consdier as automatic to be off from work. I'm glad he'll get to go at all though. Christmas toilet paper - I have always threatened, but the kids say they couldn't wipe and leave that on Santa's face. :rotfl:

Why no white?

Old fashion tradition, now passe - It was considered gauche to wear white, a summer color, after Labor Day - the official end of summer. You only wore white between Easter Sunday and Labor Day. Many still refer to the color Winter White - which is a little more toward beige than white for htis very reason.

Bob hates this too, but I've told Sean no funeral for me if I die. I said don't waste any money I may have (if any?) that you may inherit. Simple cremation
say some nice words about me and spend all the rest on yourself.
What will I care, I'll be dead!

Bob shakes his head at this too:sad2:

:rotfl2: :lmao:

for years i told robin to cremate me and throw my ashes in bay lake at wdw.
but ever since we took our first cruise in 2001, i've been telling her just dump my ashes over the side of the ship.:thumbsup2

so if you guys see her and Sully dumping something out of an urn on the bob cruise, you'll know.:sad1: :sad2:

I'm thinking we have a lot of good folks on this board! I am excited about meeting so many of you. I love the opportunity to get to know folks before sailaway from chatting like this!

'

they had NO scar.... therefore NO chance.:cool2:

what you cant see in the pic is the swarm of ladies being held back by security. it was very "elvis like".:cool2: :cool1:
