Why are you not at work?.....

Congrats on the CPR and 1st aid. Trust me, if you are ever placed in a position to perform CPR the training comes back to you right away. Hopefully you will never need it but you are ready if you do.

ok you guys, I was sick.. didn't look at the board for a few days and suddenly 25 pages go by!!I have been sick and very busy at work plus I am covering for someone at a diff place. So time seems to not exist when it comes to relaxing..lol
Now I have been reading random notes about cruise disscussion nights... this for the heads of the board or for everyone?.. and if so what night is it?
As for the upgrading I will wait after all this trip is a big one for us and just getting to go is fine with me..lol but the thought of sitting on a balcony drinking a nice cup of coffee sound very very very nice..lol
BTW is it time yet for the cruise?... cause I could use a vacation right about now..lol
This year we went to San Fran for a friends wedding and it was soooo amazing....I highly recommend taking the bay cruise!! it takes you right under the bridge! and right by Alcatraz! I even got to meet a Forest Gump look a like actor in front of Bubba Gumps! (After reading everyones trips I felt left out!..LOL)
ok ok I feel like I added now so I will end this note.. paragrah... novel?![]()
P.S. I was wondering how you guys added tag lines and such.. I am a total message board newb and I feel my posts are very naked compared to all of yours..lol
That's why I say get "cash" cards (i.e. Visa - wouldn't do Amex right now).
If you get a gift card, I would make sure to use it really quick after Xmas. Plus, those are the best sales anyways.
Good Morning all...
Hey Firefighter Chris....you're up early this morning! (Oh, wait, so am I!)
I could not agree more about it coming back to you. Back in the day, when I was in emt school, and had just finished the cpr segment, I was in church one day, and the priest said if there are any medical personnel in the church please come forward. Now there is nothing worse than not knowing why you are being called and finding a woman in her nineties to be sitting there. Not to mention hundreds of people staring at you. We assessed the situation and found her to be what we call pnb ( pulseless non-breather ). A few other parishiners and myself started cpr. By the time the police officer got there and applied his A.E.D., she had a pulse. By the time the ambulance had gotten there, she was breathing and talking. This usually is not the case however. Most people that need cpr do not make it out alive. I have done cpr about fifteen times in my ten year career as a fire department member. Only four have been successfull. However , like I tell all people I know, it is a great, cheap lesson to know. It is even more important to know if you have children. I have taught classes to people and then I have had to teach classes to other people, as they were referred to me. I think that cpr / first aid should be taught in the final year of high school. I think it is a great and valuable lesson for everyone to know.
I do not want to be up this late. I am actually getting ready to go to sleep. I just got home from work, unfortunately.
Well I suppose a few more posts wont hurt.
Of course. I knew it.
