Hope Lina likes her Ugg boots. We have got Olivia some for Xmas, she wanted the new colour for this season (grey) and they only do them in adult sizes so the darn boots cost £140.00

I'm surprised that Circuit City didn't honor someone's gift card. All the press that I have read said that it would be business as normal for the customers. Retailers love it when people use GC since most people spend $2 for every $1 on the GC. GC usage is what gets a lot of retailers by in Jan and Feb. Hmmm.... have to check with my CC friends to see what is going on with GC.

Good evening everyone...

I had a busy but very productive day. I got a lot done and then had a board meeting in the evening. Things are really coming together!

Tomorrow it all begins. Long days, long nights, but it is all worth it in the end. If I look off in the distance, I can see 12/24 faintly.

Aw shucks you guys you're making me blush!! We don't do anything special, just love them & spend time with them. We don't shower them with gifts. Of course it's easy to do when they all live close by.

I didn't know what 'bollocks' meant, so I asked AFEG, and now I love saying it when I am a little hot under the collar. I was not too happy to fight off a headache. They've been bothering me lately--a nuisance really.

I got to thinking about the circuit city giftcard issue, so I emailed my brother who is an attorney to ask him about the legalities of a business denying to accept giftcards.....Here's what he said...I believe the theory applies that she is a creditor of Circuit City, i.e. Circuit City owes her, so that she is just another unsecured creditor in bankruptcy. I did hear on the radio that some stores will honor these.


This makes me think of the saying 'buyer beware.' I keep wondering how solvent are the stores where I shop/buy giftcards for the teens in my life?

Ok interesting article in the mail today. Way back in Aug 2004, in the time where WDW tickets never expired, I had 3 tickets with a day left on them. I put them up on ebay and they sold. Mailed them out with a delivery confirmation, never got there and I refunded the person her money. Fast forward to today, the envelope is sitting in my mail box with an unable to forward sticker for 11/8/08. Over 4 years later!!!!!!!
So my question is, can I use them?

The past two days at work have been crazy. I read meters in the morning, then from 12:30-3:30 we have been having Basic First Aid and CPR/Airway Obstruction classes. These classes are required, for all employees of the Water/Sewer Department by OSHA.

I am now certified in giving CPR and Basic First Aid. Please, all I ask, don't have a heart attack or choke on anything near me. Although I can perform these duties, I'd really rather not have to do it. Stay Healthy

The classes were very informative and I learned a great deal.

Been dealing with some other extended family matters as well since arriving home from work today, which has limited my internet time.

That's why I say get "cash" cards (i.e. Visa - wouldn't do Amex right now).

If you get a gift card, I would make sure to use it really quick after Xmas. Plus, those are the best sales anyways.

Yup, you should be able to use them. You need to take them to Guest Services, they scan them and I believe the give you a new ticket.
